Howars Pearl Sherman, better known as H.P. Sherman, is an American politician currently serving as a Republican Representative for North Carolina.

Sherman is a veteran from the army, serving in WW2 between 44 and 45 and in the Korean War between 50 and 52, both times as part of the United States Navy. Under the Nixon (and later Ford) Administration, he served as the United States Ambassador in India.
