Hillary Rodham Clinton
Wife of former Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton, she made an attempt herself at politics in 2004, running for US Senate in her native state of Illinois. Despite losing that race, she remains active in the Democratic Party, most notably with the feminist groups and poverty advocacy groups.
Mother of a single daughter (Chelsea), she speaks on many occasions of "it taking a village to raise a child" and has written at least two books on that subject.
Many female pundits criticize her though, as "Hillary the Doormat", given her unwavering loyalty to her husband, despite many rumored (and several proven) sexual affairs on his part.
