The Heinkel HE-178 is an armed jet aircraft designed in 1939 for use by the German Luftwaffe .


The HE-178 is a Jet Aircraft developed by Heinkel that the German Reich Air Ministry took Interest in. It was designed as a prototype to test a Jet Engine however, the Luftwaffe ordered construction of the aircraft to begin using a Heinkel HeS Turbojet engine.
