The Hapsburgs were a ruling family of Europe that started during the Middle Ages. Although they started great at first, they began to decline and fall. In this Althistory, it explains about what would happened if the Hapsburgs still live and how their strong existence will change the face of the world forever along with other changes in European nations as well

  • Henry VII dies one year earlier than the OTL.
  • Rudolph I of Germany becomes the Holy Roman Empire's next emperor.
  • He chooses his son Hartmann to become his "Prince of the Holy Roman Empire".
  • Rudolph announced all imperial rights in Rome, Sicily, and the Papal States.
  • Instead of a new crusade in the Holy Land, Rudolph I calls for a crusade in Prussia, an enemy region east of the Holy Roman Empire.
  • In an area where present-day Switzerland stands today, banks had been built throughout the region. This helped the Holy Roman Empire to become wealthy and powerful.
  • The trade and commerce in Europe and other countries increase.
  • The Holy Roman Empire created miles of canals to drain off water from the Low Countries and to provide it for the people.
  • Rudolph I starts to create reforms throughout the empire.
  • Rudolph ordered a clean up in all cities.
  • The crusade in Prussia becomes launched.
  • The Teutonic Knights conquered and western portion of Prussia and still have a long way to go.
  • Most streets and buildings had been built underground by ten feet. They were made of stone and the entrance to these things are stairways.
  • Rudolph plans an invasion of the city-state Venice.
  • The very first bank company started in Switzerland.
  • A hope in a new crusade in the Holy Lands is abandoned.
  • Even nobles had to pay the taxes to the government for their first time.

  • Over a thousand Prussians had been killed.
  • The conquest of Prussia completes. All Prussian are forced to become Christians. Poland also becomes the Teutonic Knights' next victim of invasion.
  • The invasion of Venice completes. When Marco Polo came back, he told Rudolph is discoveries there. As a result, he became happy about gunpowder, believing it could be a new weapon. Soon, the invention of the cannon was created, helping the German on their invasion of Poland.
  • Spices and silk from Marco Polo's world start to grow throughout the Southern Holy Roman Empire, or known as the Italian peninsula.
  • Otakar agrees to the Holy Roman Empire to appear or to restore the provinces of Austria, Styria, Carinthia, and Carinola.
  • Because Rudolph thinks that if England invades France completely, they would invade the Holy Roman Empire as well. he made an quick alliance with France in order to drive out the English from Brittany.
  • Rudolph I rules Prussians very strictly.
  • Italy becomes the "empire's storehouse', due to the amount of food grown.
  • All European nations used the Holy Roman Empire's banks.
  • Due to the threat of the Mongols from Asia that created fears of the invasion of his empire, Rudolph asks and allies with the Russians to drive the Mongols out of Russia's lands. thus starting the Russo-Mongol Wars, which took at least three years of finishing.
  • Rudolph I creates a sewer system in all cities where the drainage runs off.
  • Rudolph I creates new jobs so many people with little money can now get jobs.

  • Kublai Khan leads the Mongols into another war once more.
  • A good alliance, clever military tactics and the best war strategy helped the Germans and the Russians drive off the Mongols, who were losing. 
  • Due to Mongol invasions of Hungary, Rudolph decides to add it to his alliance to drive the Mongols off.
  • Russia and Hungary reclaim their former territory that was lost to the Mongols. Russia, however, wanted to continue fighting so they could push them off fearing for another Mongol invasion
  • Arpads, ruler of Hungary, was killed in battle. However, his wife needed a new husband, so Rudolph agrees to marry her, causing a result in the annexation of Hungary into the Holy Roman Empire, though the area is still Hungarian culture and its language type of speaking.
  • France and the Holy Roman Empire drive the English out of France, thus avoiding the Hundred Years War. As a present, the Holy Roman Empire cedes its lands to the modern-day borders of France, including Corsica.
  • Russia gains all territory up to the Ural and Caucasus Mountains. Meanwhile, Mongolia faces a problem, due to a revolt in China, because of taking away most of the people to fight in the Russo-Mongol Wars. As a result, the revolt was successful, and China gained all lands to the borders of the modern day countries of China and Mongolia, along to Korea and Taiwan. This was the start of the Ming Dynasty.
  • The Mongols were forced to give tributes to the Russians, the Chinese, and the Germans.
  • The Ming Empire starts more better than OTL's. 
  • China officially becomes a friend of Russia.
  • As a revenge for losing the Crusades, the Holy Roman Empire allies with the Spanish to drive the Muslims out of Spain. It took at least just at least a year for finishing.
  • Without the Mongols or any other barbarian tribes to stop them trading with the west, China officially starts the Chinese trading Co. to trade with the west and other nations.

  • Tensions of war with the Holy Roman Empire and Bohemia build up.
  • The Bohemians and the Germans go to war because of a German invasion of it. It took just a month for finishing.
  • Russians gain land in all of Siberia while in war with the Mongols. Even the Russian islands at the north, the Kuril Islands, and the island of Sakhalin were taken.
  • China begins a sea trade route to Europe, due to the Mongols blocking the path of the Silk Road that leads to Europe.
  • At least all of central and the rest of the northern part of Spain was returned to the Spanish.
  • After its defeat, Bohemia becomes a part of the Holy Roman Empire.
  • England begins the unification of the kingdoms of the British Isles, causing the British War, which was lasting just a year.
  • The Welsh had been defeated in the British War, causing a massive chain of events that the Scottish and Irish will fight as well.
  • Edward I of England decided to place castles in each kingdom they occupy.
  • Russia takes away from the Mongol Empire the Mongol-controlled Persia, land around the Caspian Sea, and the Northern Steppes.
  • 1,000 castles have been built in Wales.
  • The Muslims are driven out of Spain. Due to a death of Alfonso X, the Holy Roman Empire's ruler Rudolph I begins a marriage of his wife, due to the death of his old one.
  • The Scottish and Irish form an alliance to defend themselves against the English.
  • Massive groups of Mongol refugees start to invade India by the early born Tamerlane, or known as Timur the Lame due mto the loss of territory to the Russians. Like OTL, the Mongols were converted to Islam at Tamerlane's time.

  • Russian has gain control of the Caspian Sea.
  • The building of Russia's new capital, St Petersburg, started much more earlier than OTL's. This time however, the Mongols are force to do the work.
  • Russia finally wins the Russo-Mongol War thanks to the Holy Roman Empire's help. All of Central Asia becomes a part of the nation. As for the Holy Roman Empire's help, they decided to give a northeast portion of Prussia and the conquered Poland, though the Holy Roman Empire has a western portion of it. The Silk Road is once again open, though most of the portion is controlled by Russia. However, the Mongols still remain in India, where the Mogul Empire began much earlier though much more prosperous as well.
  • Without the Mongol empire, there is no Black Death, which thousands of European lives still live. Still, feudalism was in decline and people became wealthier.
  • The Holy Roman Empire banned feudalism describing it as useless. Rudolph I starts to find a better solution to replace their useless status.
  • The Scottish had been pushed off their border ever since William Wallace, who had been born much earlier in time, had been killed in battle. After the capture of Glasgow, at least 100,000 Scottish had taken refuge in Ireland.
  • With the control of  the kingdoms of Spain, Italy, and Hungary, Rudolph began renaming this empire, the Hapsburg Empire, named after the castle he lives in. it included the Holy Roman Empire, Hungary, Italy, and Spain. Despite the unification, these countries still have their culture and language speaking type.
  • The influence of gunpowder spreads around Europe, causing the creation of artillery as a replacement for battering rams and catapults. The invention of artillery meant that castles are no longer going to hold up on siege.
  • Trade and commerce increase in Europe.
  • The unification of the British Isles completes. The people under the English rule- the Welsh, Scottish, and Irish, are not happy about this rule.  England has a total of an estimated a million castles throughout the British Isles.
  • After a short war with the Muslims, the Hapsburgs made a treaty with the Muslims forcing them to give them tribute, and not again to invade Spain ever again.
  • Cape Verde was discovered earlier, though it was discovered by fishermen.
  • Rudolph I of Germany gathered the Italian artists of Dante Alighieri and Francesco Petrarca to create an art organization of the The Hapsburg Science and Art. Its centers were at the capitals of The Hapsburg controlled areas of Lisbon, Seville, Rome, Vienna, Geneva, and Berlin.

  • More people became wealthier than ever. The new palaces were much more grander than the castles. Some farmers were even able to own property for their first time in their lives.
  • Due to the influence of The Hapsburg Science and Art, the increasing trade and commerce, and the growing wealth of Europe, the Renaissance accorded much earlier. Money from the Hapsburg Empire and Russia helped created this. The figures of the Renaissance and other people are born much earlier before the Renaissance, along with many explorers, which in the future will discover new lands.
  • The spread of Roman influence of the arts spread much faster than its OTL one. Most public works started to have Roman architecture in it. Roman style baths, villas, gardens, and aqueducts had been built throughout Europe. The old aqueducts in Spain are once again used.
  • Art becomes more humanism, as paintings and statues start to look more lifelike.
  • Feudalism ceases to exist.
  • Pope Nicholas III wanted the create a new version of the St.Paul Cathedral, due to its poor condition. He hires the artists of  Michelangelo, Leonardo, Gabriel, and Titian to help plan the new St. Peter Cathedral and the Vatican City. Unlike OTL's, the project took just at least 10 years in rebuilding instead of a century and 20 years, along with no stop on the project.
  • The project on St. Peter's Cathedral begins.
  • European nations become wealthier over time as trade increased. Towns and cities begin improving their looks and become cleaner and grander. In some markets, food and drink had become outlawed.
  • Most ruins of Roman buildings in Rome had become incorporated into new structures.
  • The influence of Roman and Greek influence starts to take over Europe as it became wealthier and more prosperous.
  • The Russians wanted their nation and culture to be more like the Europeans, so Czar Daniel ordered improvements in their culture to be more like the Europeans. They invited more merchants into their ports, and the art of icons had been banned.
  • The spread of gunpowder also lead to another invention, the gun. As it became a new warfare technology, it replaced swords, arrows, bows, and spears as the main weapon.
  • Rudolph I wanted to expand his empire into the Southeast territory. Armies were sent to penetrate territory to the border to the Kingdom of Serbia and Bulgaria. The war was known as the Balkan Wars, which lasted just a few months for completing.

  • Muslim project on the Suez Canal begins.
  • An area that covers the modern-day Bosnia and Southwest Croatia falls into the Holy Roman Empire's control. The Serbians and the Bulgarians were soon pushed back.
  • Rudolph sent Manuel Pessanha to discover new lands west of Europe.
  • After a conquest in North and Central Serbia and northern Bulgaria, due to a fear of invasion, the Serbians and Bulgarians quickly asked the Holy Roman Empire  a truce, which Rudolph agreed promised not to invade their lands again.
  • Manuel was pushed off by a storm and lands at the Cape of Good Hope, knowing that he has discovered South Africa. He soon went on, and soon discovered a sea route to India. When he discovered it, he landed on Bombay, own known by himself as Mumbai.
  • After Manuel came back and told his discoveries, Rudolph became impressed. He did send 3 more explorers to explore uncharted territory. They were Christopher Columbus, Amerigo Vespucci, and Magellan Ferdinand. Ever since the news spread throughout Western Europe, France and England began to send theirs into the New World.
  • A huge amount of stone and money was needed for the project for Vatican City an St. Peter's Basilica. This was an early start for the Reformation, which Martin Luther fought against the church and started Protestantism. Soon, the religion spread, but the pope was going to fight back against it.
  • The 3 explorers soon found new territory. Christopher Columbus and Amerigo had discover the New World, known as the Americas. Magellan discovered that the Earth is round. He also discover Cape Horn, the East Indies, and the Philippines. Unlike OTL,  he wasn't kill and was able to go back to Europe. All three explorers bump intro the Canary Islands, the Azores and Madeira Islands.
  • England becomes the United Kingdom, or Britain.
  • Britain sends John Cabot to explore the northern part of the Americas. France sends Giovanni da Verrazzano and Jacques Cartier to the same are as well. 
  • Due to the spread of Protestantism, Rudolph I creates and organization called the Inquisition and orders a mass massacre of Jews and other heretics. Some are banished from the empire. The purpose of the Inquisition was to kill Protestants and Jews who oppose the Catholic religion.
  • Another organization, called the Jesuits, was set up to turn Protestants back into Catholics and convert others into Christianity as well.
  • Hapsburg colonization of the Americas begin. Meanwhile Rudolph sends Herman Cortez and Francisco Pizzaro to discover the other side of the New World, or the Americas.

  • Britain became a refuge for fleeing Jews and Protestants from France and the Hapsburg Empire.
  • All Jews had been moved out of The Hapsburg Empire and France. They moved to Britain and Russia for protection.
  • Russia orders and invasion in order to control the Black Sea coast. All of Eastern Bulgaria was their target.
  • The explorers from France and Britain came back. Colonization on North America began.
  • Daniel sends a Russian explorer named Vitus Bering to explore the Americas as well. He started out in Siberia first, thinking that North America was next to Russia.
  • Like OTL, the Aztec and the Inca Empires were conquered. This was the start of the colonization of the New World.
  • Colonization became fast and was increasing.
  • Vitus Bering discovers Alaska, and naming the sea next to Russia and America, the Bering Sea, and the strait, the Bering Strait. Colonization on Alaska begins, but not that well due to the cold and harsh conditions Russian settlers never expected.
  • Czar Daniel of Russia wants to protect the Jews, so he make sure no one, not even on the higher status, can threaten them. Most Jews were given homes, houses of worship, food, property, and money. All Jews were given equal status.
  • Vitus Bering wants to find a new place, knowing Alaska is not doing good for the people. So he went into the Atlantic and into South America to see what he would find there.
  • Russia was finished in their invasion on the Eastern Coast of Bulgaria. They are looking on the invasion of the Swedish and the Danish Empires.
  • The Byzantine Empire gains help from Russia to defend it against the Turks. Soon, The Byzantine Empire got more land, mostly on the coast of the Aegean Sea and the Northwest Coast of the Black Sea.
  • Vitus Bering goes out yet on another journey due to the terrible conditions of Alaska. A month later, discovers Suriname. Because of its warmer climate and its resources easier to find there, it bought the Russians into the colony more than Alaska did. Russia made sure the Hapsburgs, the French, or the British do not try to invade the colony due to its size so troops were stationed there, despite the hardships, like tropical disease more instance.
  • Medicine becomes more advanced, as simple recipes became a good source for cures. Soon, many lives throughout Europe and the colonies were saved from death.
  • Cities begin to have a more better planning.
  • As new learning, technology, and medicine influenced Europeans, Europe became the world's most influential continent of the world.
  • The French, Hapsburg, and British East India trading Companies were set up, mostly in Eastern India. The companies were controlled by their government.

  • The Hapsburg Empire set up the Hapsburg West India Company, which is mostly centered in the western Mogul Empire.
  • Anglicanism was set up due to Edward I's cut from taxes because of the church. Edward believed if that he would break from the church, Britain will become for wealthy, and that was what he did.
  • Britain attacks Qubec and captures it. This became the start of the French and Indian War, only this time, it lasted less than a year.
  • France starts to declare war on Britain. However, after just 4 battles, soon they faced a blockade from the British on their coastlines. Without protection on the colonies, France had to give away all land east of the Mississippi River.
  • France, unlike OTL, is more wealthier even with the incident. The Louisiana area became settled and expanded the territory to the modern borders of Louisiana state. The discovery of gold in the Black Hills gave rise to hundreds of settlements in Louisiana.
  • Europeans soon occupied all of the Americas. In South America, Guyana was Britain's along with the South Georgia and the Shetland Islands, the Falkland Islands, St. Helena, and the Ascension Islands, French Guiana was France's, Suriname was Russia's and the rest of the continent were the Hapsburgs. In North America, Alaska was Russia's, all of Canada was Britain's (though a very small portion was kept by the French in the areas of present day Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan) including the 13 colonies and the disputed area from OTL 1714 along with the Oregon Country, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Belize, the Mosquito cost, and Barbados Islands, France got control of the area of the Louisiana, the rest of Louisiana state territory including Haiti, and the territory next to Britain's, while the rest was the Hapsburg's claim.
  • New Spain becomes the Hapsburg Empire's biggest source of food, since farms had been set up on Central Valley and the Great Basin, though required waterways and artificial lakes to support the new life. Plantations had even set up in the new area, creating more wealth for The Hapsburg Empire.
  • The Discovery of gold and other valuable minerals in Central California, in areas of what is now Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, and Mexico caused the Hapsburg Empire to prosper. The wealth was used for building up industry in the empire and the colonies.
  • The Native Americans began opposing the Europeans, due to the harshness of disease, punishment torture, and the cruel, hard work on slavery. Many Indians dies and Europeans began to get slaves from Africa.
  • Hapsburg occupation in the Philippines, the East Indies, the Pacific Islands (the islands the German Empire occupied during OTL) and New Guinea Island began to rise.
  • Europeans created their first African colonies, mostly by France, Britain and the Hapsburg Empire.
  • The economy of all the European nations begin to grow, as plantations, trade and commerce, and resources began to fill coffers and the GDP of the nations.
  • Due to the whole occupation of the Americas, Europeans tried to find new places for their empires. James Cook, who was born much earlier, was sent to discover the Pacific. 
  • The early discovery of coal, petroleum, oil, and other natural resources, inventions, new scientific discoveries, and mass industry began the early Industrial Revolution.
  • Poverty was again existed in the cities, due to the dirty smoke from factories and the poor, overcrowding conditions. Some cities weren't able to fill everybody needs, and only the very rich lived in their best lives in wealth and luxury.
  • James Cook discovered Australia, New Zealand, and many Pacific Islands. Unlike OTL, he wasn't killed by the Hawaiians natives when he got there. This started European colonization on the islands. French territory there was like OTL's, including Britain's except that the Southern New Guinea Islands was occupied and so is Hawaii. Hapsburg territory was just like the OTL's of Germany and Spain's.
  • At least over 15 million Africans had been captured to become slaves.
  • The Byzantine Empire took over Serbia and Bulgaria, causing the newly formed the Democratic Republic of the Balkan, though the Aegean Islands, Crete, and the Ionian Islands were controlled by Britain (along with Cyprus).
  • Britain defeated France and the Hapsburgs' East India Companies (and the Hapsburg West India Trading Company) while the British East India Trading Company as the main dominator of India.
  • After a short war, Malta and Pantelleria become a part of the British Empire.

  • Europeans became focused on Africa next. The colonies Europeans have in Africa are growing, causing the Africans there to cause concern.
  • All of Swedish territory of the present-day countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania come to Russian control.
  • Sweden and Denmark lose their colonies to Britain and France.
  • Sweden looses Finland.
  • Russia completes its conquest on the Swedish and the Danish Empires.
  • Unlike OTL, the British East India Co. hadn't been too harsh on the Indians, so there is no Sepoy Rebellion.
  • Rapid empire growth in Africa increased rapidly. The power, the technology, the industry, the army, and the economy helped Europeans to become major powers.
  • The invention of the Iron Horse caused the creation of railroads in colonies and Europe as well. The Hapsburg Empire is planning to build the panama Canal to cut time from ships circling the Cape of Good Hope.
  • France and Britain decided to improve relationships with each other by forming an alliance with Russia, causing the creation of the Triple Entente.
  • Hapsburgs occupied Taiwan and the French occupied Hainan.
  • The conquest of Africa was complete- the Hapsburgs occupied Angola, Namibia, Cameroons, Cape Verde, Equilateral Guinea, Portuguese Guinea, and Mozambique. Britain occupied Gold Coast, Nigeria, Egypt, East Africa, South Africa, Rhodesia, Nyasaland, Lesotho, and the rest of southern Africa from OTL's British Empire. All other territory was controlled by France, making the country having the largest claim in all of Africa.
  • Europeans began to rise to power in colonizing Asia. China becomes a Westernized nation, while Japan refuses and is invaded by the Russians.
  • France began taking control of Indochina, Syria, Lebanon, and southeast Turkey.
  • Britain began taking control of the whole Indian subcontinent, along with Thailand, the Malaya Peninsula, the Arabian Peninsula, east Southeast Turkey (except the area occupied by France), a southwestern portion of Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Burma, Ceylon, the Maldives, and other territory from OTL's British Empire.
  • Britain demands tribute from Turkey after a short boundary war, thus the beginning of Turkey's problems.
  • Vitus Bering discovers Antarctica. Although it was Russia's claim, there weren't any permanent settlements. The only resources they came for however, are whale and fishing products, and valuable minerals.
  • The rest of Turkey is occupied by the Russians.

  • Russia becomes the world's largest empire by 44.82 km square, Britain then follows, than the Hapsburg Empire, than the French Colonial Empire.
  • The technology becomes advanced faster than OTL's.
  • With new building technology, the St. Peter's Cathedral and Vatican City builds much faster.
  • The world has become a world of industry in 20th century-style technology. The world's hyper-power was the British Empire and the Russian Empire, the superpowers were the French Colonial Empire, the Hapsburg Empire, and China. A union called the World Union was set up to help solve problems and crises. All nations were involved in this.
  • John Muir, who was born much earlier, wrote a poem about nature. As this became a influence in the whole world, European Empires and China became aware in the environment and the protection of the wildlife began much earlier.
  • There are only 6 nations in the world: China, Russia, Britain, France, the Democratic Republic of the Balkan (formerly the Byzantine Empire) and the Hapsburg Empire.
  • Reforms soon spread out for people, even foreigners, creating for freedom in areas, such as different races of people can now do their religion, children not allowed to work in the factories, make sure everyone has a good education, programs and organizations are made to help people .
  • China had reached number 1# in most products made, GDP, export of capital, and labor force.
  • Paper money, which came from China, has become more widely used in currency than coins.
  • China starts the Great Leap Forward. During that time, China wanted to expand its economy by hunting resources even when trading and commerce made it so large. They bought stocks and companies and even amounts of land. One third of all resource field have been acquired by China.
  • Albert Einstein was born much earlier back then. During his time, religious reforms also meant people can go back to the Hapsburg Empire. It also meant he discovered more science discoveries. He joined the Hapsburg Science and Art.

  • The wealth of diamonds and gold in Southern Africa caused the French, British, and Hapsburg South African Mining Co. Africans became pulled into this work. Gold and diamonds were found in Angola, Mozambique, Madagascar, Congo, Namibia, the southern part of British East Africa, and British South Africa.
  • The wealth from the mines create huge increases in the economies, and as a result do make the colonies wealthier. However, the French mined the most of the valuable minerals, thus making Madagascar and the Congo one of France's wealthiest colonies.
  • France has the world's largest army. They have the most military bases widespread, mostly in their colonies of Guiana, Louisiana, Haiti, their Caribbean territories, French West Africa, French Equitorial Africa, Congo, Madagascar, Guinea, Tunisia, French Morocco, Algeria, Syria, Lebanon, and French Indochina.
  • China goes on the war with the Hapsburgs and French to reclaim Hainan and Taiwan, which were taken long ago.
  • The Wright Brothers, who were born much earlier, invented the airplane, causing aviation to be a source of transportation and war use.
  • Other war technology starts to exist in this era.
  • The Hapsburgs and the French met, and agreed to give back Hainan and Taiwan back to China. Although it was China's claim, the French and Hapsburgs still govern the area.
  • European nations especially China ordered clean up on its poverty-rich cities.
  • Thomas Edison, who was born much more earlier, created many inventions.
  • The invention of the film camera and film caused the very first movies to pop up into reality. Britain set up Hollywood in New York City, creating the very first movies. Walt Disney Studios also sprang up from this.
  • The Democratic Republic of the Balkan starts to Westernize . While they were at that, the Black Hand was formed. Their job was to make sure the Hapsburgs never invade their country.
  • Rudolph I decides to retire in 1291, leaving his son in charge.

  • France builds waterways all over the desert region of the Sahara they control. Thanks to the source of water, more cities, forts, and agriculture fields were set up.
  • Russia, ambitious to claim the remaining Black Sea coast, pays the Democratic Republic of the Balkan $23US Million.
  • In order to protect their island territories in the Pacific and the Indian ocean, the French build hundreds of forts, making the French Army and Navy the most feared in the world (though China does not worry about the power of the European empires).

  • China turns its government into a Communist government after a short revolution, which was led by a former farmer named Mao Zedong, who was born much earlier than in OTL.
  • China kills every prisoner it holds, and others that oppose the government. A famine since most farmers were executed moves the population to an estimate 234 million.
  • China improves the country since the famine, making it the largest producer of every crop, every product, and every mineral in the world.
  • Britain's "Jewel In The Crown"(British India) reached 500 million, causing concerns for the British government in both Britain and India.
  • Slavery has become abolished, though the jobs slaves once held are still for them, though they work in a new daily life. But in France, a third of its former slaves joins the French Army and Navy, increasing the number of French soldiers from 9 million to 14 million soldiers.
  • Charles Darwin, who was born much more earlier, releases to the world his theory of evolution after his long voyage around the world. The book begins to cause lots of mayhem in education throughout the world, except China and Russia, who supported Darwin's theories.

  • In order for Vitus Bering to make a fortune, he must sell furs so the Russians would enjoy them, since Russia's a cold country. So Vitus and the Russians build Fort Ross on an island uninhabited by the Hapsburgs in an area at Bodega Bay. The Hapsburgs, however, do not agree to recognize Russian rule on the island, even if it's just a little settlement.
  • Britain marks a new law that all status on both white and colored (Asians, Blacks, etc.) peoples have become equal.
  • The National Park Service starts to convince people not to pollute the environment, yet other environment-saving organizations sprung up, all trying to protect the environment, otherwise it would even create a threat for humanity.
  • The Hapsburgs built Las Vegas, which became the world's largest city. It included casinos, hotels and other sorts of glitz and glamour as it did in OTL Las Vegas.
  • The Hapsburgs also built the Colorado Dam on the site of the OTL Glen Canyon Dam, and the Las Vegas Dam, which was built on the site of the OTL Hoover Dam. Both dams helped supply water for the farms and the cities.
  • Rudolph I sends and army to Fort Ross to attack it. The cut of supplies from the Russians force Vitus to flee. The Russian Navy, however, drove off the Hapsburgs off the island. As a result, Rudolph was forced to let the island part of the Russians and must hand over Fort St. Miguel on what is now British Colombia. Knowing that the fort is on British territory, Russian Emperor Daniel has a talk with British Emperor Edward Longshanks. Soon, both countries had an agreement, so Fort St. Miguel is kept with Russia and is renamed in its Russian version Sacred Fort Мигель.
  • The Opium Wars occur in China when British smuggle illegal drugs (especially opium) into China. China wants people to be educated strictly, because the economy needs professional workers. Because the drugs make people lazy, Britain and China went to war. Because of the new war technology and the best known battle strategy, the Chinese won easily, and Britain must respect the ban of illegal drugs. Since the war, China had the best war strategy.
  • France becomes the most famous country for its food and drink, art, music, literature, fashions, and the country's history and glorious sites.

  • Russia and its economy becomes the second-richest country with its second-largest economy in the world. Deposits of every mineral, coal, gas, and oil from the Russian mainland and its colonies strengthened the might of Russia's economy of wealth.
  • A short revolution occurs in Berlin, the Hapsburg Empire's capital, and Rome. Rudolph fled just when the rebels got into his palace. The pope, however, was killed. After the revolution, Rudolph agreed that the pope in no longer the ruler of Catholic Europe, and its power had been retreated to Vatican City. Taxes for the Church ceased to exist.
  • In order to balance the equality of power, Russian ruler Daniel turned Russia into a constitutional monarchy, that the king's power was limited by the government. France, Britain, and the Hapsburg Empire began to do the same.
  • China begins to build canals throughout the nations' dry areas. The water helps grow crops, which are sold for money for the government so it could raise its industry levels.
  • In British Afghanistan, the discovery of valuable minerals helped strengthen its economy. However, it's still dry so canals that carry water from the Himalayas have to be built so farms can grow.
  • The Russian Empire builds the Russian wall on its western border next to the Hapsburg Empire. Since the Hapsburgs are very powerful, Daniel fears they'll invade Russia, so the wall was built to keep out the invaders. Forts were built every 50 feet to take the lookout. Another wall-and-fort project was built in France. This time, every 20 feet, there's a fort.
  • The Hapsburg Empire builds the Trans-American railroad that'll span the Hapsburg claim on America (doesn't include the islands), while the Trans-Siberian Railroad is becoming built.
  • France turns the barren Great Plains in Louisiana into cropland. As a result, soybean, wheat, barley, and rice grew there. Plantations also set up, though sugar cane cannot grow because of the different climate. In just a month, a third of the Great Plains turned into farms, though the government limited the land for the bison.
  • Edward begins to plan the Kra Canal in Central Siam, so that ships no longer have to go through the dangerous Strait of Malacca, where pirates hired by the Hapsburgs can capture ships and loot them.
  • Nigeria becomes the most populated colony in Africa and the second-most populated of the British Empire.
  • The Russian economy starts to depend on the mining industries, trade and commerce, manufacturing, military industry, and the plantations from Suriname.
  • The Maldives are hit by a storm which floods the islands for a week.
  • Britain builds a system of dams in Bengal to prevent flooding. The waters are carried to drier parts of their colonies, so farms can grow and people have water to drink.

  • In the Hapsburg-controlled country of Portugal, its capital Lisbon is hit by earthquakes, tsunamis, and a city fire all at once. There were over a million refugees that fled to Spain.
  • China takes control of a quarter of Earth's surface oil fields.
  • The Viceroyalty of Peru in the Audiencia of Chile supplies the Hapsburg Empire with the most copper, or known as a third of the world's supply.
  • China renames its country the People's Republic of China.
  • Since the day China turned into a Communist nation, soldiers often also played as police. They were very strict and were armored and had weapons. Since many riots occurred in this year on anti-Communism, the police were the toughest in the world.
  • Britain begins to divide up UK on religion. The Catholics live in Ireland, so English Protestants had to leave. Another thing that changed is that immigration from England to Ireland was outlawed.
  • The British build waterways in Australia to provide water. Since then, over a quarter of Australia's dry land had turned into a wet paradise for wildlife and farms.
  • In Tasmania, known as Van Dieman's Land back then, the British renamed the area Tasmania, since Tasman was the first to discover the island.
  • The Hapsburgs exile all Jews out of their empire once again, since their religion is threatening the Hapsburg people's native religion.
  • France, Russia, and Britain are filled with Jewish refugees from the Hapsburg Empire.

  • The Russian Empire got too strong that the Hapsburgs feared that the Russians will invade their empire, so Rudolph I begins an invasion of Crimea.
  • After getting the news, China decides to side with Russia. Despite being a part of Russia and China's alliance, Britain and France remained neutral.
  • Hapsburg warships start crossing into Russian waters (the Turkish straits and the Black Sea). Russian and Chinese warships start attacking the fleet, as it crosses Istanbul. However, the Hapsburg troops set fire to the city, forcing the Russians and the Chinese to flee.
  • China begins to build forts across Crimea. Half of the forts were controlled by Russian troops. Trenches were built to provide protection in the war.
  • Hapsburg troops start arriving on Crimea. Since Istanbul had been abandoned, Hapsburg troops get the chance to receive reinforcements and supplies.
  • Chinese begins to call out unemployed Chinese into the war to become troops.
  • In order to prevent the Chinese from sending out troops and supplies, the Hapsburg fleet attacks the Chinese at the Suez Canal. The Hapsburg accidentally shot down a British ship and a French warship. France and Britain decide to declare war.
  • Istanbul becomes resettled though it is still in ruins. The British, the French and the Chinese were able to cut off the Hapsburgs from supply.
  • Rudolph gives up and is forced to not invade any Russian territory. All forts controlled by China have been handed to Russia.

As a result, history went better than it did. As the years passed by, the world still looks like this.
