The Greater German Reich (called Germany in the remainder of this page) is one of the world's largest countries and has 190 million people living in it. Germany has the largest colonial empire in the world, with many areas of Africa and the Pacific still in German hands. Germany is the world's only superpower, having a great influence on many nations around the world. Germany is also a manufacturing giant, importing raw materials from its colonies and then processing it in their many factories.

History

Pre-WW2

The Greater German Reich was establish in 1933 as a single-party fascist republic. Between 1933 and 1939, Germany worked to secretly build up its army, planning an invasion of France. It consolidated into totalitarian dictatorship quickly after its formation, and worked to eliminate any anti-Nazi organizations in the country. Hitler, Führer (president) of Germany from 1934 to his death in 1967, is in present day idolized by the German people for leading them through WW2 and establishing them as the most powerful country in the world. Hitler used the SS to eliminate any political rivals before WW2 to secure his position.

WW2

WW2 is typically seen as the shining point of the power of Germany. in 1939, Hitler, against the will of his advisors, launched a massive assault against France, with over a hundred divisions participating. French troops valiantly fought, but German panzers used a new tactic, Blitzkrieg, to smash French lines. Hitler, during this time, issued many acts and laws concerning army expansion, army eligibility, and the consequences of keeping Jews safe in German houses. France fell in about three years, with resistance from Spain and Portugal along with France and Germany. German military organization, with armoured units being put together and concentrated in one area along with the advantages of mobilized infantry, German troops could outmaneuver and break holes in the Allied line while filling up gaps swiftly in their own. Germany occupying northern France, and setting up Vichy France. Hitler, again against the will of his advisors, Invaded Great Britain in Operation Sea Lion. Eventually, Britain fell too, and the remaining allies in North America surrendered.

After WW2

Germany harshly treated the Allies after their loss in WW2, demanding that northern France and southern Great Britain be annexed into the Greater German Reich. Hitler then announced a week of celebration, stating "This is the greatest day the Reich has ever seen". In 1967, Hitler died from a heart attack, and the German Government declared a national day of mourning for their fallen hero. Adolf Hitler's son Alois Hitler (named after Adolf's father) became the next Führer, promising to be a competent leader that would lead the German people. In 1976, citizens in France and Great Britain rose up against their German conquerors, taking up arms and causing mass confusion in German held territories. Germany fought back by assassinating all the leaders of the rebellion through the complex German spy network. In 1982, New York acquired nuclear missiles, causing the New York Missile Crisis. Only careful negotiation and some underhand threats by the German government stopped New York from launching the missiles. During recent years, Germany has been increasingly involved in peacekeeping operations in northern North America, Great Britain and France. Germany has greatly ignored the constant wars between the Russian Republic and the USSR.

Economy

The German economy is mostly comprised of services, taking up 70% of the total GDP. The Greater German Reich is absent of any substantial amounts of raw materials, instead being a manufacturing giant. Their main exports are cars, chemicals and machinery. Germany is a great business center, with many overseas nations having headquarters in Germany. German has become the language the world uses for business and the Reichsmark has become the business currency of the world.

Government

The Greater German Reich is a single party fascist state run by a Führer. The German government is seen by many to be disorganized and uncoordinated, with many government officials trying to gain favor with the Führer. Officials will propose a new law, usually from something the Führer said, and send it to the Führer to either accept or decline. State and local governments have almost no power, instead being run by the leaders of the Nazi Party, the only legal party in Germany. Many people around the world are surprised that the German government has held up, but it has not only done that, but also prospered. Germany uses the SS, a service of elite "policemen" and assassins, to put down anyone who opposes their will, causing almost all the people in Germany to agree to the Führer's every word.

Military

The Greater German Reich has the largest military in the world. The German army is also one of the most advanced militaries in the world, with all of the latest technologies researched by the many German facilities being commonplace in the military. Germany operates a large fleet of over 150 U-boats, used mainly for peacekeeping operations. The German Luftwaffe includes thousands of planes and is the second largest in the world, after the giant Japanese air force. German planes include the latest Ju-137s, Messerschmit 134G's, and "Striker" heavy bombers. The German army goes through massive amounts of training, wheedling out the soldiers that will not fight well in a war or will not perform up to expectations. Law requires every German citizen, except for disabled, blind, deaf, etc. to serve at least three years, although that number can change in the event of a war.

International Relations

Germany is the most powerful nation in the world, and uses that power to greatly influence other nations around it. It is one of the upper council members of the Allianz der Nationen (Alliance of Nations). It is involved in Global peacekeeping operations, currently protecting Ottoman and German interests in the Middle East and stopping wars in many North American nations. Many countries follow what the German Führer says and then copies it in their own country to make it seem like they will do exactly what Germany does. Germany is very intolerant of any other systems of government, putting down all within its reach as much as possible. The Führer is a figurehead to the German people and the world as a whole, as Germany taught that he "saved the world through his just and good actions". The SS operate minorly in countries bordering Germany, so anyone refusing that statement is quickly sent to prison.
