Congress for the American Empire is very similar to our Congress in OTL . However, even though it has, in name, equal power as the President, very little power. It is simply a figure to tell people that the American Empire is somewhat "democratic". Because of that, they have a very small role in internal and external matters in the American Empire .

There is a Senate and a House of Representatives, as in OTL. The Senate is made up of 150 members, two for each state in the Empire . The House has 835, based on the population of each state. They are re-elected every four years, and they can serve for as many terms as they want.
