Gothenburg County (Swedish: Göteborgs län) is a county in Sweden. It has an area of 10,875 sq km and a population of 864,020 residents. The capital of the county is Gothenburg.
Most of the area of present Gothenburg County (the Bohuslän part) earlier belonged to Norway, but was conquered by Sweden 1658.
There are two constituencies in the election to the house of commoners in Gothenborg County: Gothenburg City is one, and the rest of the county is another.
Governor of Gothenburg County is Count Johan Lewenhaupt.
