Getulio Vargas, President of Brazil 1930-1945 and 1951-1954

Getulio Vargas was the President of Brazil from 1930 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1954. Vargas chaired the Sao Paulo Peace Accords in 1951. After the end of the Third World War, Vargas was a staunch supporter of the Western Democracies in the cold war. Vargas committed suicide in 1954.
