The German Reich (German: Deutsches Reich), commonly known as Germany, is a relatively large nation situated in western, central and eastern Europe. It is a constitutional republic consisting of 23 constituent states, and is considered by many to be one of the most powerful nations in the world in many categories. Its capital and largest city is Berlin, although it has many large cities.

Germany has the world's second largest GDP, second only to the United States. It has been a global leader in many fields such as space exploration, medicine, technology, and others since the conclusion of World War II when it emerged as a vast and powerful nation spanning a continent. The country enjoys a very high standard of living and has some of the most grandiose architecture in the world, with structures such as the Avenue of Splendors and the Volkshalle in Berlin.

Since World War II, Germany underwent a bloody revolution resulting in the secession of several states which then became Belarus, Ukraine, and parts of Russia, among others. Following the revolution, the nation has become much more liberalized, and has become a constitutional democracy modeled after the American system.
