[edit] The SS Led Forces
The SS led troops were the hard core Nazi's, conservatives that saw the reforms of Rommel as destroying the fabric of the greater German Reich. the SS was the key component of this, and was supported by the Armans and the Ahnenerbe. radical elements of the Luftwaffe and the Kriegsmarine joined the Renegade forces.
[edit] The Conflict
[edit] 1. The Opening Moves
with the Attempet coup foiled, The German Reich was deeply divided by Rommel's reforms (emancipation and suffrage of Slavs, Ukrainians and Poles to be precise). On One hand, there was the conservative SS led forces (led by Marcus Heydrich no less) and the German loyalists to the Fuhrer. The last straw for the conservatives was Rommel announcing that a new Reichstag was to be opened, and all, even Slavs, could be elected to it. the SS led forces controled the south and east, including Moscow, the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, and the general Government. Rommel's forces held the west.
fighting broke out on the borders of the protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and eastern Germany. at first, the SS forces held the advantage in both men and material. most German troops were on the eastern front, fighting the partizans, and they were far away from the fighting in the west.
In order to prevent the Von Braun Stations from being used, Rommel deployed a computer virus which caused them to shut down. the crews remained in space for the duration of the war.
[edit] Responses to the War
Of Germany's allies, Italy, Romania, Hungary, England, France and Nordland declared themselves neutral. Croatia was also neutral, but provided support to the SS forces. greater Flanders aided Rommel's forces.
The United States offered Support to the Rommel government, and allowed the use of ATO bases to loyalist ships and planes. The fact that several American planes were shot down by SS controlled ships.
Japan refrained from any support.
[edit] 2. the Battle for Poland
Poland now became a battleground as Rommel's forces clashed with Heydrich's SS at every turn. the fighting for Poland was long and bloody.
[edit] 3.the fall of the South
Rommel's forces now moved into the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. with promises of greater freedoms, many Czechs joined Rommel's forces, and more joined partisan bands that hindered the SS forces. the SS responded brutally, destroying several villages with Fuel-Air explosives, and massacring suspected partisans.
[edit] 4. Nuclear Summer
with Smolensk threatened, the SS now had to cross the line. code words were authorized and sent, and three 20Kt Tactical Nuclear missiles were deployed on the Spearheads of Rommel's forces. the attack decimated the assault, and halted the advance.
[edit] Goodnight New York
In a desperate attempt to inaugurate World War 3, the SS fired a nuclear Missile at New York City. for the second time in its history, the city was devastated by a 5Mt atomic blast. The attack was unilaterally condemned, even by Japan and Italy. America immediately threw its entire weight behind the loyalists.
[edit] Aftermath
the Civil war ended the power of the SS forever. the Victory began Germany on the road to reform. the Reichstag elections of 2015 were hailed as a triumph for democracy. America turned its eyes away from Germany, and towards Japan, who now was in danger of being isolated.
[edit] Political effects
In Late 2016, Nordland officially dissolved itself, becoming instead the independent countries of Sweden, Denmark and Norway. the new Nordland union was created, and Finland joined. Honduras lost much key support.
