George Wilcken Romney (July 8, 1907 – July 26, 1995) was an American businessman and Republican Party politician who served as the 37th President of the United States from 1973 to 1977. Prior to his election as President, Romney served as the 39th Vice President of the United States under Nelson Rockefeller from 1969 to 1973 as well as the 43rd Governor of Michigan from 1963 until 1969.
