 Gennady Zyuganov is a Prominent Russian Politician who served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 2000-2015. Zyuganov served on the State Committee on the State of Emergency during the Constitutional Crisis and was the prominent figure calling for Economic Reform in the Soviet Union and for the creation of special zones to allow economic growth to take place. Zyuganov is a staunch warhawk who served as a Colonel in the Soviet Army from 1962-1966.
