The Authority of the Lands of Gaza (Hebrew: ממשלה מאדמות הרצועה; Arabic: الحكومة من أراضي قطاع غزة), often reffered to in English as the Gaza Authority, was a puppet state of Israel established on a part of Israeli-occupied Sinai. The Authority was founded on 13 March 1957, after the Suez Crisis. The Gaza Authority consisted of parts of the modern-day Egyptian Governorates of Gaza and North Sinai. For its entire existence, Eliezer Krantz served as Doge of the Authority of the Lands of Gaza. The Governor of the Authority of the Lands of Gaza was Borys Wolanski from 1957 to 1960 and Faivish Schnur until its dissolution.
