The Funeral of Daniel Quilt was one of the largest funerals to be held in New Vestfold.

To date, it has been the largest funeral bestowed to a Chief Minister of New Vestfold. Quilt was known primarily for his work concerning the Antarctic Campaign of World War II, building a strong economy for New Vestfold, and his foreign policies. For his work, Quilt was given a state funeral in 1949, which was attended by members of the public, his family as well as high-profile politicians of Australia, such as Tristan Opperman, Y. Maxwell Isaacs and Prime Minister Ben Chifley. International attendents included Maudlandic Premier Matthias Bryn; Eduardan statesman Sir Sebastian Chauncer; President of Santiago José Guerrero; King George VI; and the famous Rosslander war hero Mike Townsend, just to name a few.
