The basis for this althistory is the death of Hitler in February of 1941. The factors contributing to his death was morphine withdrawal, combined with the other unconventional treatments given by his doctor.

After the Führer's death, Albert Speer, the German armaments minister becomes the second Führer of Nazi Germany. This has a dramatic effect on the course of the war and the Nazi Party itself.
