The French-Alaskan War was a brief, minor conflict between the Empire of France and Alaska over a series of islands in the mouth of the Hudson Bay in 1917. It is often regarded as part of the Colonial Wars. It resulted in a French victory, although with minimal casualties for either side, and helped align the Alaskans with their former foe, the Americans, against the French in later years.
