Free France was the name given by the armies, navies and territories of France that did not recognized the surrendering of mainland France in 1940 nor the pro-Nazi government in Vichy.
Free France lasted till 1953, after long conversations with mainland France that started 1948, when the Reich begun to de-occupy mainland France.
