Frank Sinatra was president-elect of the North American Republic in 1959. He won the election on November 7 that year with the promise he would fight crime and the mafia. The mafia had him killed on December 16, 1959, one month before he would have taken office.

Sinatra had one daughter, Nancy Sinatra, who would unsuccessfully campaign for the Whig Party leadership in 1980.
