, as I have seen some very interesting and high-quality maps in ALthist and want to create some for 1983: Doomsday, I would like ask for your help. How do you make maps of different kinds approriate to be used in here? Political, geographical, climatical, special themes.. I got a lot of design ideas, but can not find any blank maps (world, regions etc.) which I can use further in graphic programs. I usually use MS Visio for my work and graphical layouts. Any way to ungroup and mark countries?
I would really appreciate your help. Maybe this could grow into a Sandbox, How to- or similar site...

- Personnaly, I export the blank map from an old program called CD Globe and then modify it using Photoshop Element.--Marcpasquin 15:31, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
