The Point of Divergence is in 1915, the Austrian-Hungarians could actually fight the Russians and, with the help of Germany take all of Poland.

1914[]

On June, 28 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary, was assassinated by a Yugoslav Nationalists, starting the First Great War. Austria-Hungary declared war on Siberia, Russia declared war on Austria-Hungary, etc etc. Several alliances formed over the previous decades were invoked, so within weeks the major powers were at war; via their colonies, the conflict soon spread around the world. Germany soon invaded Belgium to flank France as part of the Great Britain declares war on Germany as a result. PoD: Russia invades Austria-Hungary in an attempt to cut the Central Powers in half, however the Russians encounter major resistance from the Austrian army. By the end of the year, the Ottoman Empire would join the Central Powers.

1915[]

Italy joined the war on the side of the Allies, after promises of large amounts of land. Austria-Hungary successfully pushes out all Russian forces, and with the help of the Germans and Ottomans, they launch Operation Triangle Fighter. It involves invading Russia on three fronts, in Western Russia, in Poland, and in Caucasas. The Allies, seeing that Russia would soon collapse without aid and supplies from the West, attempt to land troops in Gallipoli. However, the attack fails, and the Ottoman Empire soon retakes the area. The Lusitania is sunk by a German U-boat, hurting relations between German and America. Russia total war economy was not good for it in the long run. Shortages of basic supplies would soon begin, and inflation would rise to the point where many people could not afford bread.

1916[]

Poland is under German control, and the Austrians have gained much land in Western Russia. The Ottomans have also gained control of the oil-rich fields of Caucasus. The first Russian revolution begins. Germany begins unrestricted submarine warfare, angering the U.S. France launches another offensive on the Western Front, but it fails. The first use of tanks at the battle of Somme helps show their effectiveness, however they wouldn't improve enough to save the Allies.

The Italian army is defeated at Caporetto by German and Austrian forces. It is a total success for the Central Powers, causing over 650,000 casualties for Italy while only 20,000 for the Central Powers. Russia collapses into civil war. The war on the Eastern front is over as the enemy is dropping their weapons and going home. Millions of Germans go off to fight in the Western front, while Austria-Hunga

ry begins invading Serbia. Germans go back on the offensive, they launch an offensive of two million men to go advance toward Paris.

1917[]

The Germans reach the outskirts of Paris, and the Battle of Paris begins. The US declares war on the Germans after receiving news of the Zeppelin Telegram. The Germans reinstate unrestrictive The provisional government in Russia vows to regain all land lost. It orders major attacks, most of which can't take place due to a lack of supplies and troops. People begin to revolt again. The French Government, now operating far away from Paris, gives the order to blow up the Eiffel Tower and destroy parts of the city. The French army agrees, but when the soldiers started to load the artillery, Ferdinand Foch said "No, let the Germans fire their shells". Many Historians say this is because of the intense shortages of shells. The British attempted, and did, to land troops in Belgium. However, with lack of French activity, the Germans had extra forces to beat back the British. Bulgaria joined the war on the side of the Central Powers following the defeat of British troops in Belgium, and sent troops to help defeat Serbia. Austria-Hungary, with the help of Bulgaria and Germany, conquers all of Serbia.

1918[]

The German win the Battle of Paris, much to the Allies dismay. The French government begins to collapse, as it has lost most of its important cities. An armistice is signed between the Central Powers and France. Germany would get to annex the Northern part of France, and L'affaiblissement de France (Weaker France) would be the new French government. Weaker France is soon forced to pay money to Germany to pay for the cost of occupation. The U.S army is now one million strong, thanks to the draft. A landing on the French coast is being planed. The United Communist States has been created and is now being led by Lenin. The UCS asks for a separate peace with the Central Powers. Germany uses Southern France to invade Italy, while Austria-Hungary invades from its borders with Italy. They soon reach Rome, but Italy quickly surrenders so that Rome won't end up like Paris. An Italian puppet state is being created, to be run by both Germany and Austria-Hungary. The Italian States are proclaimed by Germany, and they soon put pro-Central Power leaders in charge. The British are successful in beating the Ottomans out of the Middle East, however the Ottomans begin exterminating Muslims to stop any revolts by them. The Ottomans soon begin to regain lost land.

1919[]

A joint American-Canadian-British invasion of France begins the year. The German are caught off guard, but use their artillery to blow up landing Americans, and Submarines to sink landing boats. In the end, there are high casualties, but the Americans and British land. The Germans try to contain the Americans, much to there success. The Americans fail to secure a large area and can't get past the beach. The US experiences anti-war protests as there are few successes and many believe the war is lost. Peace talks begin. Austria-Hungary and Bulgaria secure all of the Balkans except for Greece A peace treaty is signed, with the following points established:

  • Germany is allowed to keep its land in France and Poland
  • Austria-Hungary is allowed to keep its land in the Balkans and Western Russia.
  • Bulgaria gets a slice of land in the Balkans as well.
  • The Ottoman get to keep there gains, plus Egypt is act as a buffer state to separate Great Britain's Colonies and the Ottoman Empire. They also get to keep their land in Caucasus.
  • Great Britain, Canada and America all must accept defeat in the war.
  • The Allies must pay war reparations for war damage, starting in 1921.
  • Weaker France and the Italian States are to be recognized as official states.

The Allies accept the treaty, which becomes known as the Treaty of Amsterdam, as that is where the treaty was signed. It is signed on the first of December.

1920[]

Former Central Power members enter an era of high growth and technological growth. The Allies have slowed growth and have problems keeping up. The Germans have new car industries popping up that become world wide brands. Austria-Hungary has high growth that helps quiet ethnic violence, but former Serbia has resistance fighters there trying to re-establish the Serbian state. The army is called

Central Powers

upon to help crush the rebellion. Bulgaria has moderate growth and massive celebrations about winning the war. However, it doesn't have the high growth of its allies, but the Serbians are fighting Bulgaria. The country soon falls into civil disarray, and it calls upon its northern neighbors to help. The Ottoman Empire has high growth, but Muslims still rage war against the government, so the extermination of Muslims continues. The US has high growth compared to its allies in the war. The US, humiliated having lost the war, vow to stay out of another war. On a more positive note, women gain the right to vote. Great Britain has a recession, and cannot keep its empire. The African and Asian Colonies both have massive independence movements. Weaker France begins sending payments to Germany, and tries to get industries to come to Southern France, as most of the Factories were in the north. Italy: Rome has begun minor reconstruction. It wasn't damaged much during the war, but was still partially destroyed. The UCS nationalizes all industries of the nation. Wealthy British, French and German men are all hurt by this, mainly because they owned most of Russia's Factories and power plants.

1921[]

Germany begins to cut taxes as the first payments from Great Britain and America come in. This raises the popularity of the Government, and the economy continues to grow. The military is sent to Bulgaria to help them out. Great Britain's budget is out of control, with massive reparations that need to be payed. With an uneasy economy and already high tax rates, the government begins printing money. Inflation begins. In another blow to national pride, Ireland becomes independent. The US begins to pay its share of reparations, though the strain is not as great as it is on Great Britain, it is slowing down the economy with a need for higher taxes. The Fatty Arbuckle Scandal begins. Also, the lie detector is invented. Austria-Hungary sends the army to Serbia to help put down the revolts, and to be able to be sent to Bulgaria in case unrest spreads to other Austrian-Hungarian areas. The economy continues to grow, and many companies come out, producing a sense of Austrian-Hungarian pride. Bulgaria starts rebuilding its land. All Siberians have began to be exterminated. They ask Germany for Industrial plans so that they can build better factories. The Ottoman Empire has rounded up every Muslim in their land. They have all been sent to Camps in the desert, far away from supplies and people. The Turkish people begin taking former Muslim homes, but mostly move into the new Caucausus area as it is more fertile. The UCS has finished nationalizing all industries, much to the West's dismay. Ties with Germany are broken off due to this, but the Russians do not continue any aggressions in fear of war, mainly because the army has been destroyed.

1922[]

Germany puts more soldiers on the German-Russian border in case of war. The economy continues to grow at a fast rate, and it is now the second biggest economy in the world, with only the U.S ahead, though this might not last for long. It also agrees to send Bulgaria industrial plans if they agree to send Germany 10% of all goods produced there for 5 years. Great Britain faces more another blow to national unity and pride when the first African colony, Sudan. declares its independence. When troops begin to head there to put down the rebellion, seven more African Colonies declare their independence. The British military is overwhelmed, and all the colonies leave. The Asian colonies also leave, though not as violently as the African Colonies do. The US keeps growing the economy and paying reparations. Worried about its British ally, it sends some aid, though not a lot is available due to German reparations. Americans all across the nation worry about what will happen, though get distracted again when The Reader's Digest is published. The UCS has begun equaling all worker's pay. All new houses are of to be of the same quality, to ensure equality. Many veterans that have come home to a destroyed nation finally are getting back on track with their lives, as work is finally available again with the building of additional factories and homes. Austria-Hungary's best car company, Austro-Daimler, begins competing with the best Germany has to offer, Volkswagen. These two compete to get the most business in both nations, helping German-Austria Hungary relations rise even more. Bulgaria has rounded up an estimated 75% of all Siberians. They have all been sent to Labor camps to help produce Industrial goods until enough Bulgarians move here to start working. Then, they will be killed. The Ottoman Empire has killed 30% of all Muslims. The first revolt by them has begun in the Damascus revolt. The Muslims get a few muskets, but it is mostly bow and arrow. They gain control of the camp, and are about to take the town when an elite Ottoman unit comes in with better Western weapons. As a result, Factories are now being built across the nation to help industialize and produce more Western weapons. Weaker France has successfully gotten 15 German Factory owners to set up some Factories in Weaker France. The industries that joined produced: Steel, Coal, Power, Tires, Automoblies, Glass, Paint, Leather, Textiles, Clothing, and Wires. Italy faces a small revolt when Mussolini marches on Rome. Many people support him as one of the few people who can save Italy from foreign rule, but the Germans and Austria-Hungrians both want him gone. When the Italian police arrest him, the country is in an uproar. Italy goes into a revolt, ruining any potential it has for Germany or Austria-Hungary.

1923[]

Germans all across the nation flock to the movie theaters as the first talking movie comes out. The first talking movie is The Great War: Victory for Civilization. It is banned in America, UCS and Great Britain. The Movie is a hit in other Central Power nations. Germany's economy is boosted by several other movies that were produced this year. Also, Hitler is jailed after his unsuccessful attempt to start a revolution. Germany also occupies London after Great Britain can't afford to pay this year's reparations. The US has another major magazine comes out, Time Magazine. Magazines have helped replace movies as the American ones aren't as great as Germany's, that and German movies are banned. The U.S is offended by Germany's occupation of London. The US threatens to cut off oil supplies to Germany if they don't stop it, but Germany has begun importing oil from other areas in response to this. Great Britain has suffered yet another blow to national pride when the Germans occupy London. On top of Ireland independence, hyper-inflation, and their colonies fleeing, support for the Government falls to all time lows. Emergency elections are going to be held next year. The UCS's leader, Lenin, has suffered his first stroke. He rests for a few months, meanwhile the UCS begins constructing factories to help replace the lost industries when Germany and Austria-Hungary took over a large part of Western Europe. Austria-Hungary has a large revolt in areas with a large amount of minorities. This forces Austria-Hungary to create small nations for them in OTL Yugoslavia. The Ottoman Empire has offically exterminated 50% of the Muslims living there. The rest have been forced to do hard labor and produce manufactured goods to pay for the camps. More Turkish citizens move into the cities to work in factories as well as they have better pay on average. Weaker France's economy continues to grow, it has a growth rate higher than Great Britain, and this brings a little pride to many Frenchmen. More German factory owners move here as a result of a deal where France will cover half of the costs of building a factory there. A few small start up French factories set up shop and build French goods. IRevolts continue in Italy, with Rome a huge battleground.

1924[]

Germany and the U.S send there best athletes to the first Winter Olympics, with the U.S winning. Germany vows that it will win next time. In more important news, Lenin dies, and the UCS's Communist party begins to pick another leader. Germany congratulates the U.S on their win. Germany has communist groups begin expressing their opinions, and start protesting in Poland. These protests are put down, further straining German-UCS relations. Meanwhile, a new movie comes out, German history at a glance. People in the rest of the world view this movie as extremely racist toward non-Germans. The U.S celebrates the win at the Winter Olympics. Ford now dominates the world of American trucks, and is the world leader of trucks, while the Volkswagen become the world leader of Car engineering and horsepower. The U.S also has its first magazine craze, in which hundreds of start up magazine companies attempted to take the market the market by storm. Meanwhile, movies go into decline as people feel they are "un-american" and "racist toward Americans". Great Britain manages to get enough cash to pay for its reparations this year. The emergency elections saw the election of Winston Churchill. He told the British people that this was there "darkest hour", and that they would recover from it stronger. Winston asks Germany for talks about the amount of reparations payed. However, in the meantime people start to head for radical parties, like the nationalists, communists, or fascists. Austria-Hungary sends troops to Italy after the revolts continue. They create

Central Powers2

New States in blue.

small states for the nationalists in the Balkans, in exchange that they don't declare war on Austria-Hungary. They also make sure that these states don't have much power. Revolts in Italy end after Austria-Hungarian troops enter Rome and crush the rebels quickly. However, they begin fighting in the countryside until Mussolini is removed from prison. The Ottoman Empire has killed 75% of all Muslims. Many have died due to the heat and over working. The Ottomans have also began drilling for oil in Middle Eastern and Caucasia and sending it to Europe to be sold to its allies. The UCS's new leader is Stalin. He starts a number of programs to industrialize the nation, though peasants and farmers both suffer due to these plans. More soldiers are sent to the border as a result of even more strained relations with Germany. Factories across the nation have begun producing more tanks and airplanes, helping the economy.

1925[]

Hitler publishes Mein Kampf, though it doesn't sell well in Europe, the Americas, or any other place for that matter, It is mostly thought of as a failed attempt of bring back Racism as a major policy in the Government. Germany begins the transition to Democracy after wealthy Germans on vacation in America come back and spread the word of freedom and liberty among their workers. A legislative and executive office have both been created, and the Kaiser is limited in his powers as new laws are passed. The US embraces the changes in Germany, and tries to make amends with them. Great Britain undergoes a Communist revolution after long economic stagnation turns into a sharp decline. The UCS begins to send some aid to Great Britain, the economy stabilizes after all factories and stores are nationalized and stop laying off workers. Weaker France also begins a transition to democracy after the recent changes in Germany. Factories continued to be built and many Frenchmen get jobs. The UCS continues to industrialize the nation and many farmers and peasants are forced to move to the city to work. Farmers who resist are killed. Tractors and other more productive methods to reduce the need of labor are introduced. Relations with Germany sour even more after their transition to Democracy. Italian Rebels strike again when they kidnap a German Diplomat. They promise to release him if Mussolini is released as well. In the end, the Diplomat and Mussolini are both freed. He orders a march on Rome, demanding independence. In the end, the Germans and Austria-Hungarians both give it independence. This gives hope to French, Polish, and other Balkan rebels. The Ottoman Empire has killed 90% of the Muslims in their nation. However, another rebellion in one of the camps takes place and is successful. They escape to the U.S and tell the world of the horrors in the Camp. The Central Powers begin to question their alliance with the Ottomans. The Ottoman Empire government soon enters civil war between Communists and Democracists. Trade with outside nations falls. Bulgaria has begun to fortify their camps after the events in the Ottoman Empire, as they don't want the secret to be leaked out. The economy tanks after trade with the Ottomans drops. Bulgaria has begun to convert to Communism after this and begins to nationalize. Relations with the US nosedive. China enters civil war between Communists, Democracists, and some large warlords after watching recent events in the Ottoman Empire. The world waits and watches as alliances and governments fall and rise. Japan opens up to the West and begins to industrialize. In order to do this, they need resources. For this they need to expand. The Military expands and large stockpiles have begun to be built.

1926[]

Hitler, disappointed that his book didn't sell as much as he wanted it to, leaves prison after his supporters protested against the government and the prison. He makes Mein Kampf the movie instead. Hitler orders that no part of it be boring. The constant showing of clapping audiences, Swastikas, Hitler speaking, and famous quotes that weren't even made by him it proves to be a hit. The Nazi party gets many more members as a result of this. In the movie, he constantly denounced America, Communism, and Jews. Germany elections have several Nazi leaders elected. The US is worried about this, and relations fall a little. The economy is boosted by rising exports to Bulgaria after they lose one of their trading partners. French revolts and Polish revolts have begun, and are being put down by the military. Weaker France begins a secret build up of military weapons that are stockpiled in hidden silos in the wilderness. Rebels have begun receiving aid from the government, and the amount of payments to Germany have been canceled because there "just wasn't any money there". This angers Germany, who in turn places more troops in France and starts collecting its own set of taxes. This is used as propaganda against the Germans. Italy has Mussolini come in power. He begins to have a personal friendships with Hitler and promises to support him if he gains power in Germany. Italy has started to build up its military and stockpiling resources. The Communists have come to power in the Ottoman Empire after several hundred tanks are sent to the Communist by the UCS. They begin to nationalize industries across the nation. Stalin is impressed by the power of tanks, and begins to build his own models. Factories across the nation are now opening up after their construction, and the peasants and farmers have moved to the cities. Farm production has dropped significantly, and more agriculture needed machines have begun in production. The US has start designing its own models of tanks after the UCS stepped up production. Robert Goddard has launched the first Liquid-Fuel Rocket, helping show that America is still a world leader in technology. Radio Stations have started to become more popular with Americans as a way of information and entertainment, but Magazines still remain more popular by a long shot. Japan continues to modernize its army and factories. Stockpiles are being created and funded by tourism as Japan has began a major tourism campaign to get more money spent there. Japan asks Germany to give it French Indonesia. However, Germany will only sell it to them. A price is set, and it is sold for 100 million Marks. Bulgaria has killed 85% of the Siberians living their land. However, after a new country is created for them, the government "liberates" them from the camps from "racists". The survivors, horrified by the experience go along with it and move to the new country, trying to forget. Great Britain's economy has grown for the first time since the war ended. Communism has been fully implemented, and factories and stores have started to reopen. After being advised by Stalin to do so, the British military has begun to be expanded. China's unrest has spread across the nation. Millions have goon off to go and fight, leaving behind loved ones, but many also flee into the UCS and other nations. Austria-Hungary re-affirms its alliance with Germany, and they are now the only members of the Central Powers left. They have also started to see a rise in Nationalist parties as well.

1927[]

The Nazis continue to rise in power and membership, other politicians have suddenly "disappeared", and in elections to replace them some thugs have blocked the opposition from voting, helping lead to the Nazis gain even more seats. They are getting closer to majority, but not close enough yet. Germany has begun passing more Nazi-sponsored laws, like the taking of stores and factories from Jews, propaganda against the opposition and America, and the banning of the Communist party. Relations with the US and the UCS sour. Meanwhile, a French revolt in Paris is successful after new weapons from "secret sources" comes into the rebels hands. Many say the US supplied them, and any hopes of an alliance against the Communists between the two has ended. The US has started to supply French Rebels in an attempt to curb German power. The US has entered a secret alliance with Weaker France. New Tanks designs have begun to come out, though not of excellent quality, they are improving. The UCS has reached higher production levels, and many hope that they will reach pre-war levels soon. However, due to food shortages, this may be pushed back for a while. Italy's military has began to improve after massive budget increases. A planned invasion of Ethiopia has begun to be sorted out. They estimate it will take place in 1930. Austria-Hungary has started to begin making large factories to make a better more modern army. The Russian/Bulgarian borders are being enforced with more men in the face of bitter relations with them. Bulgaria has begun to get aid from the UCS as nationalization has finished. The economy begins to grow, and the military is expanded. Japanese military expands even more, and Japanese forces enter French Indonesia. They ask for an alliance with Germany and Austria-Hungary. The resource stockpile is starting to get more and more full. The Japanese continue to build up the military for possible conflict. Weaker France has supported the rebels in Paris by giving them supplies. Without this, they would have had to retreat out of the city a few months ago. They also keep building up their weapons stockpile, mainly through aid from the US.

1928[]

The Nazis have almost gotten a majority of the seats, and Hitler's SA is actively helping raise that number. They will soon have the majority of seats. Meanwhile, back in America, the stock market crashes, starting the Great Depression. This gives the Nazis even more propaganda, and helps fasten the process. Hitler is appointed chancellor of Germany, however all across the world funds for the military and resources stockpiles has fallen, putting a little bit of water of a ticking time bomb, but it is not defused. Leaders all over have there own set of goals for there nation. Germany celebrates the new chancellor. However, the economy is falling and unemployment is rising. The military is greatly expanded to help the economy and more tanks and airplanes are built. Hitler's interest in these weapons has helped them become a top military priority again. The US economy nosedives. People everywhere are now out of the job. Hoover is blamed for this, and he continues to do nothing, trying to keep a balanced budget. Roosevelt becomes president in the elections. He promises a "Better Deal" on the current economic conditions and institutes hundreds of programs to try to help the economy. These are often called the Better Deal. It helped bring down unemployment, but wasn't enough to jump-start the economy. Austria-Hungary is hurt by the recent economic downturn but not as much as America because it didn't invest in their stock market as much. The Military is expanded as to help combat the small downturn and because of the growing threat to the east, the UCS. Research on tanks have begun, though they are far behind the Americans Russians, and Germans. The UCS keeps building factories and new farms. The famines have killed 1.7 million people, but are over now as better equipment has been made. The peasants and farmers of the nation have either been sent to the city, killed, or are still working on the now government owned farms. Food production has slowly started to rise, but is still not at pre-war levels. Industrial production is now at pre-war levels after years of construction, research, and better machines being made or bought. Japan continues to build up its military and stockpiles. It has been hurt by the recent economic downturns as it got money from tourists from the West. An attempt to find a new source of cash has failed, and now the expansion of the military and stockpile is being funded by debt. Weaker France has planned a revolt for an attempt for independence from Germany to take place next year. The Paris rebels are getting funds and weapons from the government, and thousands of WWI veterans are getting ready for battle once again with the Germans. Italy has implemented a new form of government, Fascism. It inspires the Nazis, and Hitler plans for this to be his own way of government. The military expands and the Ethiopia invasion is still being planned out. The Ottoman Empire no longer exists and it is now called Turkey, mainly because it is only Turkish. It has attempted to regain relations with other nations, but due to the atrocities committed and that it is Communist it only regains relations with the UCS and Bulgaria. It re-starts the industrialization projects that were formed earlier.

1929[]

After an attempted assassination attempt on Hitler, he declares a national emergency and disbands the constitution, never for it return. Hitler declares himself the Führer, and keeps building the military. Roosevelt continues the Better Deal, and cancels the budget cuts on the military after seeing the recent actions in Germany. A revolt takes place in France. Hitler sends troops to disrupt the revolt, and when he finds out that Weaker France was part of the revolt, he orders the leaders of the nation to be killed. It is then annexed into the German Empire. The UCS, Bulgaria, and Turkey all continue to industrialize to try to catch up with the West. Great Britain is fortified with Russian troops in response to the growing German threat. Japan keeps building the military, and invades the Dutch East Indies. Back in Europe, the Netherlands were about to go send there army to fight, when Germany invaded and quickly took over the nation. Japan finally has a stable source of oil and begins drilling. On a more positive note, bubble gum, Penicillin, car radios, sliced bread, and the first Mickey Mouse cartoon all come out.

1930[]

The world watches as Japanese troops crush Indonesian revolts and use them as slave labor. Germany enacts racist laws against the Jews and Communists in the nation. Relations with the UCS, Bulgaria, and Turkey drop to next to nothing. The Better Deal has helped the US economy start to turn around, though unemployment remains high. The UCS, Great Britain, Bulgaria, and Turkey form the Moscow Pact, which is an alliance between all Communist nations. The US, Canada, and several South American nations seeking protection

The Factions

form the Freedom Alliance in response to the Moscow Pact. The world is now divided up into three factions: the Central Powers in the middle, the Moscow Pact in the East, and the Freedom Alliance in the West. They begin competing in technology, economic growth, and military.

1931[]

The Empire State Building is completed, showing American success over its enemies. Hitler constant denouncing of Communist has lead to more Russian troops being placed in Great Britain and at the border. Germany amps up military production, and its allies do so as well. The UCS continues industrialization, and its production levels are soon reaching Germany's levels. The Better Deal continues in America, and they are slowly recovering. The Chinese revolution continues, and the Communists appear to be winning, until their advance is stopped by 100 tanks, supplied by America. Meanwhile, a new group of people begin to attack Communists and the Pro-Democracy groups. It is revealed that this is the Fascist group that is being supplied by Germany. Tensions rise between the factions ...

1932[]

All three factions continue to build up their military. The Better Deal in America has ended the recession, and growth has continued. Roosevelt is re-elected, however the Republican congress has removed most of his Better Deal programs, excluding Social Security. Germany has a major break through in tank designs and the first Panzer comes out. The army has begun to be equipped with this weapon. The Moscow Pact members continue to industrialize, and the speed of it amazes many Westerners. When Germany begins to mobilize because of the need for land for the growing population, the UCS demands that they stop. When Germany refuses, Stalin is in a rage. He orders that the Russian army is mobilized. Austria-Hungary mobilizes as well. This leads to the British, Bulgarian, and Turkish armies to begin mobilization. Japan's army, already mobilized due to recent wars, is put on alert. It is starting to look like 1914 all over again.

1933[]

Draft has begun in all warring nations. Military production has risen all across Europe. Hitler tells his nation that they will be entering a major war, but they will come out of it the world's strongest, most powerful nation. Stalin tells his nation that Communism will be spread across Europe. Great Britain tells its citizens that this is revenge against the Germans, while Austria-Hungary is saying that its citizens are about to win two great wars.

1934[]

Germany decided to strike first. A 2.5 million strong army has invaded Russia. Tanks all rolling across the nation. The goal is to capture Moscow and be able to capture most of the UCS's resources. In the south, Austria-Hungary invades Bulgaria, capturing most of the country, and is only stopped by a joint Turkish-Bulgarian defense. The Russians are caught off guard by the invasion, but manage to get the army to stop the Germans outside of Moscow. St Petersburg has been captured, and so has Penza and Volgograd. Turkish troops are being sent to Stalingrad to help combat the approaching the Nazis, and manage to hold them at Volgograd. However, the Germans are bombarding Stalingrad and causing many casualties among Turkish troops, plus they need to hold back the Austrian-Hungarian troops in Bulgaria. Great Britain's military has been mobilized, and an invasion has been planed in France.

1935[]

The Germans have successfully surrounded Stalingrad, and the Siege of Stalingrad begins. Turkey is alarmed at this, as 100,000 troops have been placed in Stalingrad. After many pleas from the UCS and Turkey, Great Britain launches a 450,000 man invasion in Northern France. They successfully land, but more Germans that finished training this year have been sent to the landing zones, and have contained the British. By the end of the year, the British are forces out, and have lost 135,000 men. Although a defeat for the British, it was a victory for the Communists in general as this allowed the Germans to be stalled long enough to allow UCS and Turkey to get more men and tanks ready. The Russians and Turkish manage to establish a front line of a combined 1.2 million men together, plus with 350 tanks. In Bulgaria, the entire nation finally falls, and the Austrian-Hungarians take over. The fleeing Bulgarians go to Turkey where they plan to help the Turkish fight off the Fascists.

1936[]

Germany, with Great Britain's invasion of France over, send the trained soldiers and new recruits to the Russian Front line. When they see the size of the front line, they are surprised at the speed of the Russian mobilization. The Germans launch Operation Enduring Reich. The plans are to not direct forces toward Moscow, but to attack north and south of it in the less defended areas. The Operation is a success, and the Germans are able to confuse the Russians, and they get surrounded by the Germans after taking Volgograd. Meanwhile, the Siege of Stalingrad has ended, with the Turkish army surrendering. German morale among the troops is boosted by this. Japan officially enters the war, and invades the UCS. The UCS is now trapped between a rock and a hard place. The factories that have been moved past the Ural Mountains are now in danger of Japanese bombers. UCS, British and Turkish leaders meet in Istanbul to discuss the war. They all agree that it is impossible to win. However, a new plan has been introduced as a last ditch attempt to win the war. The Russian army will gather up enough men and supplies to invade Volgograd and free Moscow from German siege. Most Russian and Turkish leaders admit this is not going to win the war, but Stalin's strong will makes the plan go forward.

1937[]

In Austria-Hungary, now with even more massive minority populations, they are faced with three choices: do nothing about the new racial groups, which could lead to the country fracturing later, send them to camps, but if they get caught the world will condemn them, or give more rights to all ethnic groups. The current leader, Franz Josef II, as Franz Josef I had died earlier, who was not as cruel as his father and grandfathers, and decided to create a new nation, United Balkan Nation.
