The state of war existing between the Italian League and the Papal States, and its co-belligerent the Kingdom of France, shall immediately cease.
The Papal States shall pay reparations to the Italian League, totaling a sizable amount, not only as compensation for the hostile invasion it led, but also for the years of raids and damages caused by the Papal States' legates. Similarly the Kingdom of France shall pay an increased amount of reparations, in addition to those dictated by the terms of the Treaty of Paris.
The Papal States shall limit the size of its navy and standing army, and demilitarize its border with the Italian League.
The Italian League shall annex a small area of territory along the border (~30 pixels), allowing the border to better follow natural barriers, and shall include certain border forts, most notably around the city of Bologna.
The Duchy of Lombardy shall be created out of the Papal States' northern territory. The new state shall be allowed self governance, although shall grant military access to the Italian League and shall be bond in a perpetual military alliance, essentially as a protectorate.
The Italian League shall allow merchants from the Italian league unmitigated and preferential treatment in matters of trade within its borders, trade routes, and areas of influence, and shall tolerate the construction of Italian trade posts and other investments made by private Italian citizens, making no effort to weaken, damage, or otherwise prevent these happenings.
The Papal States shall renounce any alliance with the Kingdom of France.
The palace and cathedral of the Archbhishop of Ravenna shall continue to be papal property.
