Illinois: Illinois officials is annoyed with the Federal Government. State officials recalled the Senators and told the representatives to come home and secedes from the union and forms the Republic of Illinois with the capital in Chicago. Illinois puts troops on the borders and forms a naval unit to patrol the Mississippi River and Lake Michigan. A draft has been instituted.
Pennsylvania: The Pennsylvanian senators are annoyed with the government. While they refuse to secede from the U.S. at the moment, the national guard is mobilized and prepared.
Virginia: Virginia sees that the USA is collapsing and secedes from the USA. The Republic of Virginia is formed and Robert E. Lee is offered the presidency, which he accepts. The draft is instituted and some slaves are allowed to join the military. President Lee gets the fossil fuel up and running and the Republican Navy is formed. The security detachment for the President is formed and is called the Republican Guard.

Complete implausibility because West Virginia became a state BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT TO SECEDE SO THEY BROKE OFF FROM VIRGINIA AND REJOINED THE UNION.
South Carolina: (which had already seceded in 1860) welcomes any other seceding states, and works on creating a standing military. in the confusion, they seize Fort Sumter and other military installations.
Kentucky: Kentucky secedes from the Union, and many Senators and Representatives head home for the elections. More railroads are built, and Coal Mines are set up to help get fuel for the railroads. The military is built up.
California: Californians begin to get annoyed by the Union, but will not declare secession yet. Meanwhile, gold mines begin in the north, and railroads connecting Sacramento to San Francisco are constructed. The California State Government orders the formation of an army and navy to be come less and less reliant on the state government.
Here's something I've got to tell everyone. I've got two new rules for you all:
No trade agreements, alliances, or pacts until there are ten states left in the Union.
The first states to secede must be the ones that formed OTL CSA. After that, secede all you want. However, Kentucky and Missouri are not obliged to follow this rule.

Oh, OK. Well, you can believe that all you want, but I can argue with it. For a long time. With a lot of good points. Rule #1 because, hey, these states are just leaving a country. They don't have the time as yet to be allying and whatnot. Rule #2 because all the secession are slavery based at first. Then the other guys who are pissed off can leave cause the Union is crumbling apart.
It is quite apparent to me that you are not understanding what alternate history. Quote from some big dictionary I took off of my Dad's shelf: Alternate History: Alternate History is anything that did not happen in real life. Thus, the "whole purpose of this being an alternate history" is not defeated by any means.
Connecticut: Connecticut for the moment does not secede, but starts to realize the ineffectiveness and the nearing collapse of the Union. The governor recalls all national guard troops and ships that were out of the state into state borders. He forms an army and navy from these troops and ships, and recruitment starts. Railroads and roads are built to connect the state.

Michigan: Although it is nervous about the South, the state passes a resolution banning leaving the Union. The National Guard is expanded and a National Navy is established (It's like a National Guard.) Industry is amped up and some national guard troops are sent to Indiana.
Massachusetts: Massachusetts decides not to secede for the moment, but begins building up and army and navy just in case, as well as amping up industry.

Tennessee: Tennessee officially secedes from the Union, due to Hamlin's alleged "radical abolitionism."
Event: All the slave states except Maryland and Delaware secede.
Illinois: Things are going rough. However, things are getting better and officials stress patience. The Illinois army is slowly increasing.
Kentucky: More Kentuckian troops are brought home, and many of them join the new Kentucky Troop Force. The former state government becomes the Temporary Government until elections can be held. The elections plan to be held next year.
Illinois Diplomacy: Illinois offers Kentucky a non-aggression pact.
Kentucky Diplomacy: Kentucky agrees.
Pennsylvania: The National Guard continues to be organized, and General Mead is appointed to be the head of the State Military. Troops mass on the Maryland Border.
California: California continues to become less and less reliant on the Federal Government. Gold Mines continue to pop up in northern California. Railways to San Francisco to Los Angeles to San Diego begins, and will be expected to next in 1862. California secedes from the Union, and will occur next year. (I'm assuming this allowed, because most of the slave states secede). The US dollar is taken off list from the official currency, and printing of the California Dollar begins.

Texas: The Republic of Texas requests trade routes with Virginia, Louisiana, Florida, and California. Texas begins expanding into the New Mexico Territory and hopes to build a railroad linking San Diego and San Antonio. The routes with the other states would be shipped into Corpus Christi.(technology is not advaced enough to make the Corpus Christi port the way it is today)[maybe the city that connects to the San Antonio river?].
Californian Diplomacy: California agrees.
Virginia Diplomacy: Virginia accepts and asks Texas for an alliance.

The first annual State Drills are founded, in which troops from across the nation are trained. The Arlington Scientific University is founded. The university is on the front line of cutting edge technology in both the civilian and military fields. Added to this is slavery is officially outlawed and no one regardless of race or religion will be persecuted. The former counties of CT, reform into states with their respective governors/lt. governors and state general assemblies. The Former General Assembly is changed to Congress. Congress ratifies the new constitution and bill of rights. The Governor's Mansion is changed to the Presidential Mansion, the capitol is Hartford with the capitol building the seat of the government. Yale University expanded for sciences. The military is formed from the national guard as the RCA (army) and RCN (navy). New warships and trade ships are built in Groton and Mystic. Troops from Oregon are sent into Northern California, Maine attacks the RNE and all other manpower is directed towards everything else. The National Capital is relocated to Richmond County/Staten Island in New York City, New York to be far from the secessionist states.
Illinois: Since war has been declared, Illinois sends the river navy in the Mississippi to St Louis and bombards the city. Meanwhile, Illinois officials send the Illinois army north to Wisconsin and east to Indiana. Officials from Illinois ask Michigan to help with the Wisconsin and Indiana campaigns with a promise to divide Wisconsin in half. Also, Illinois sends a diplomatic team to Iowa to convince them to leave the union and join Illinois.
Michigan Diplomacy: You can have half of each.
Illinois Diplomacy: Illinois accepts.
California: California takes soldiers from Central and Southern California and deploys them north, and begins to launch small offensives on the Union. California request help from any state directly not under attack. Meanwhile, using the factories that were captured, weapons and cannons are completed in small numbers. The Californian Navy defeats a small Union squadron off the coast of Oregon.
Texan Diplomacy: Since the Union is dissolving, do you want to invade the New Mexico Territory and split it? We can worry about borders later.
Californian Diplomacy: California agrees, as long as it gets Vegas.

The capitol is established in Philadelphia. The provisional government offers trade agreements to Connecticut and West Virginia.

Georgia: Georgia begins t build up its military.
Maine: The governor of Maine, Lot M. Morill, loses power after half his forces are killed in a failed strike on Texas. A new governor, Henry Hare, is elected, and he has Maine secede, offering support to other seceded states.

Meanwhile, several northeastern states are offered alliances, and plans for the Maritime Alliance take hold. A trade route is offered to the Pacific Alliance.
Look, how, many times am I going to tell you that fictional people have to be born after the POD. Thus, "Hare" is ineligible for governor. Also, Maine was Hamlin's home state, so "Hamlinist spies" would not be arrested. For that matter, they wouldn't even be there in the first place! The Virginian Law Code is drafted and approved by the Senate and gives women more rights such as the right to vote. President Lee is hailed as the People’s president and July 6 is declared Robert E. Lee Day. Preparations begin for the celebration of Independence Day (January 15th). The government is reorganized along with the election system. Candidates will now be elected on popular vote instead of the Electoral College. The mining and oil industries are producing more resources than ever and the fishing in the Chesapeake Bay is booming. Railroads are built to connect Virginia as well as telegraph lines. President Lee orders the building of bridges across the James, York and Rappahannock Rivers as well as increasing the number of ferries going to and from the Eastern Shore. Winchester-Virginia <- (Company name) begins research on a new rifle designed to be quick and accurate. It will most likely be a repeater but in a larger caliber. The navy is built up with the building of 5 schooners and 2 sloops as well as one ironclad. Illinois: Since the fall of the US, there was a few minor celebrations, but officials had other things to worry about. After the military operations in Wisconsin and Indiana, Illinois has declared war on the NFR. There is talk of changing the name from Illinois to the Great Lakes Republic, but officials put it down. Mostly due to the fact that Illinois does not control all of the Great Lakes. However, there will be major discussions on the new name.
Republic of California: California accepts the alliance from New York, and offers one to Texas. California invades the Nevada Territory, and captures the small but strategic towns of Las Vegas and Reno. Department of State, Treasury, War, and Transportation is organized, while two military academies (one naval, one army) is under construction at San Francisco. Research into an weapon similar to OTL Winchester begins, and construction on gold mines and railroads continue. Yosemite National Park is established, to protect the natural wildlife from expansion.
Texan Diplomacy: Texas accepts, and offers a trade agreement. It also asks for joint technological research, as Texas lacks advanced technology, including factories.
Californian Diplomacy: California accepts the trade offer, and agrees to the joint research.
Texas: With its joint technological agreement with California, Texas begins importing factory equipment and advanced technology in an attempt to become more technologically empowered. Factories quickly open to begin processing cotton and new weapons. More progress is made on the New Mexico front, and the territory is expected to be under Texan and Californian control by March. Texas also launches a military campaign to conquer the new state of Oklahoma.
Republic of New England: The RNE celebrates its union and mild celebrations of the fall of the US occur. The capitol is still in Hartford, the former states keep the same names, but certain areas are remapped and changed due to disputes and requests and their representatives sent to congress. New ports and shipyards are built New Hampshire and Rhode Island, along with in Connecticut. Recruitment in the military rises as citizens join the NEA (Army), NEN (Navy), and NEAU (Air Units in balloons). The Constitution stays the same as in the former posts. Congress ratifies it again, congress also ratifies a bill giving women more rights and the ability to vote. Roads and Railroads are built to connect the nation, telegraph lines are also built to connect the nation. Forts are started to be built across the nation to better defenses and more guns and cannons are produced.
West Virgina: The military begins to build up and industry is growing. The president creates the draft and the military is drafted to full capacity. Research begins on a new type of cannon and the Sharpshooters Corps is created. The coal industry is revitalized and is at maximum output.

Illinois: With the war with the NFR going on, the Illinois economy is full war time production mode. Also Illinois is getting new recruits from the original state, occupied areas of Wisconsin and Indiana. Also Illinois decided to make the cities of Peoria, Chicago, Rockford, and Milwaukee key industrial areas for the nation. Also with discussion of the name change is on hold until the war with the NFR is over.
Michigan: Expands Military and continues occupation of parts of Indiana and Wisconsin. It offers to form a Allied States of America with Illinois in which it is open border, economic, and political organisation. (Like Axis in Avaro).
Illinois Diplomacy: Illinois is open to the idea and proposes a meeting in Springfield to discuss it some more. Also discuss way to end the war against the NFR quickly.
New York: New York asks anyone willing to participate in an invasion of East Vermont, which was held by New York in the Early Colonial Times until a dispute with the New Hampshirites. (Secret!) Meanwhile, the first Congressional Midterm Elections are held. President Seward forms the first cabinet. Independence Day (still July 4) is celebrated still, while New York Day is celebrated on August 8. President Seward encourages technological and industrial improvement in New York.

Massachusetts Diplomacy: Refuses, but is willing to allow free passage to all RNE citizens, soldiers, etc - same thing as a citizen but they can't vote (the same is expected, but not explicitly stated). However, Massachusetts would like to buy a passage between the newly conquered Maine and Massachusetts.
Virginia: President Lee orders railroads to be extended into the newly acquired territory. The fishing industry is expanded and the military is expanded to 90,000 men. The 4th Shock Army is created and based along the West Virginia border. The Republican Reserves are created and 4,500 sign up. The Republican Navy is patrolled to the Mediterranean Sea to show their power and prestige to European nations. The Virginia Beach Sniper School (VBSS) is established and 1000 men sign up.
Mod Event 4: The Navy of Venice (or Italy, if the Italian City-States united yet) sinks a Virginian Ship by accident until they they find out that the Virginians are the owners.

Republic of California: The Nevada Territory is annexed by California, and is immediately divided into states. Expansion into the New Mexico Territory continues and will meet the Texans in the next turn. The Military is expanded, and construction on gold and mineral mines continue. Research into the repeating rifle continues, while the RCSS (Republic of California Sniper School) and RCNA (Republic of California Naval Academy is established), and construction on an military academy begins.
United States (Pennsylvania): The country goes into mourning upon hearing the death of Hamlin, who, even with his inability to preserve the Union, is considered a legitimate president of the United States. The military continues to upgrade, and the first ironclad steams out of Philadelphia Harbor. Damaged parts of Washington are rebuilt.
Florida: The FDF receives weapons from Texas and they begin modernizing their armed forces. The Legislature allots a 10% tax on the purchase of any amount of land purchased over ten acres. The Castillo de San Marcos is nearly finished in her retro-fitting to modern specifications. The Florida President begins talking with the Spanish to see if they could purchase Cuba. The FDF launches the FSS Florida as the first naval ship launched by the State.
Massachusetts: The invasion of Maine completed, it now controls most of the entire state, and annexes it. It builds new universities and hospitals through out the country, and puts up posters encouraging... ahh... reproduction, as it were. It rebuilds the remains of Augusta. It also builds a series of 5 Union- class ironclads, fitted with five swiveling guns. It officially allows free passage to all RNE citizens. Begins commencing troop movements to New Hampshire.
South Carolina: South Carolina allies itself with Tennessee, and invades NC. they promise to split NC with Tennessee, and the invasion is currently successful. they beginworking on a navy, and the Ironclads SCS South Carolina, SCS Blue Ridge, and SCS Columbia are built in Charleston.

Kentucky: The Military is improved. Meanwhile, new manufacturing industries are made in Kentucky. An army of 30,000, almost a third of the army, is stationed in West Virginia, and begins practicing war battles for if the British decide to attack.
Michigan: Advances into Minnesota are pointed up towards the Canadian Border. Troops are stationed in Detroit, ready to attack and land into Canada in a half hour notice. Troops are placed on the border else where. The Flagship RMS Michigan is completed as an ironclad. More ironclads are constructed. As for now, the navy is patrolling the Great Lakes.
Mod Event 3: At Minneapolis, the NFR crushes Michigan and chases them to the border. The President offers a peace to the Michiganders.

That is not ASB. And its not like we invaded one turn, and conquered it the next. It took more than two turns, and we both expanded from both sides, allowing to conquer the territory much faster.

There's a difference. A small State like West Virginia, attacked by three nations, wouldn't take that long to fix. Now, a large area being attacked by two nations. Do you see it now.

Illinois: Begins to withdraw from Wisconsin with the agreement of the NFR. With the loss of Wisconsin the Illinois begins draw plans to invade Missouri. However, that is on hold since the Brits may invade at any moment. Illinois sends a delegation about forming a Allied States. Also ask Michigan if they can send troops there to help defend Michigan against the Brits. Meanwhile, the ISS Illinois is sent to patrol Lake Michigan with order not to fire unless they are fired upon.
Virginia: Virginia mobilizes all its reserve forces and stations them on the border. The armies are mostly concentrated int the north and east. The Republican Navy is ordered to patrol the Chesapeake Bay non stop. Two more ironclads are built, bringing the ship total to twenty five. Three new forts are built along the rivers name Fort James, Fort York, Fort Rappahannock, and Fort Potomac. They are defended by Gatling guns and a plethora of cannon. President Lee is granted emergency powers in the face of the impending British threat. In other news, the educational system is reformed and slaves are now allowed to get basic education and slaves now have to be paid something. All children ages 5-18 now have to get an education in a school and women are allowed to go to college.
United States: The United States prepares for battle against a possible British invasion. Several Ironclads are moved into Lake Erie, although a few remain in Chesapeake Bay. Invasion plans for Ontario are made.
Texas: Texas, sensing the impending attack, offers an alliance to Great Britain. They offer trading rights, mostly cotton. Texas adds three ironclads to their fleet and includes the new Gatling guns to their arsenal. Construction on the railroad continues, with plans to connect to the Californian line at Phoenix. Troops are sent to the border of Deseret and the GPR. An alliance and trade partnership is offered to Louisiana.
Louisiana: The alliance with Texas is accepted. Meanwhile, the military, especially the navy, is increased.
RNE: The RNE declares war on New York, for their invasion of Vermont. The RNE asks Massachusetts not to participate on the side of New York due to our alliance. The military is put on high alert and mobilized. The army keeps the New Yorker troops at bay and their navy at bay in Lake Champlain. Artillery bombards the enemy troops all day and the few hot air balloons in the military are sent over enemy lines for reconnaissance and to drop bombs on them (jars of gunpowder and blasting caps). Virginia: The Air Scout Corps perfects a way to drop bombs from the balloons. A claw mechanism is attached to the bottom of the balloon and a hatch is in the floor of the basket, allowing bombs to be loaded. The mechanism is operated by a lever. President Lee forms the Women’s League. The group is a place where women can go to petition for more rights for women. The Slave’s Estate School is established. Slaves ages five to 12 must go here before they can be sold or start their labor. There is also an upper level of the school for adult slaves. The prototype repeater rifle is tested and is a huge success. The gun is christened the V62A1 Winchester. The rifle fires a new specially designed cartridge called the .308 Winchester. President Lee drafts War Plan Red, a plan for an attack from the British. The plan details how Virginia should respond in the event of an attack on allies or an attack on Virginia itself.

The Constitution is based on the US Constitution and the city of Chicago is the capital. One of the first things they did is to rename the ISS Illinois to the FSS Illinois. Also they launched another ironclad called the FSS Enterprise. Richard Yates became the first President of the FSA. His goal is to keep the alliances that Illinois had, and forge new alliances. He also had the military build up more and trained better. He also order that military units be integrated.

Republic of New England: The RNE creates thier own version of the repeating rifle called the liberator and has a maximum range of 425. The potential of balloons is realized and more are made for both recon and to drop bombs. Defenses ring the borders facing Canada, Long Island Sound, and the Atlantic. Kentucky: Kentucky proposes an American Free Trade Zone. It would remove any form of tariffs or other forms of protection on trade with other members. It would allow any former American State to join. Meanwhile, more infrastructure is built up. Textile industries are encouraged to set up shop in the nation.
FS Diplomacy: Would like to join the American Free Trade Zone. Also proposes a rail from Chicgo to the Kentucky Capital.
Kentucky Diplomacy: We welcome the FS into the AFTZ. We also agree to the rail.
New York: A genius young man, Thomas Edison, comes to New York with his father and his family. (Will you guys let me do this? Mod Event 1: Britain invades New York, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Ohio is taken in a week. Everyone calls upon their allies.
Kentucky: More infrastructure is built, and more factories are built up. A "reproduction" campaign begins, and in public schools people are taught that if you aren't in a family, you aren't living life.
Federated States: Upon hearing that Ohio and Michigan was invaded, the Federated Congress declares war on Britain. The first action was to send the troops occupied Indiana to Ohio. Next they sent the FSS Illinois and the FSS Enterprise to Michigan. Also they send a Marine unit over to Michigan. Meanwhile, the rail linking Chicago and the capital of Kentucky is on hold until the war with Britain is on hold.
Mod Event 2: Britain invades all the former 13 Colonies.
Mod Event 3: Spain and France send aid to all those chaps the British are invading.
Great Plains Republic: The Government begins military, infrastructure and farming spending. Tax cuts are put on farmers plus aid is sent to increase food production. Recruitment begins to increase military size and defence is rigid up against future invaders. Great Plains Republic declares War on Britain and Sends Aid as in Troops to States that are being invaded by GB.
New York: New York begins to build up defenses on the border with Canada and invades Toronto and Southern Ontario and puts it under occupation. Help is requested from California as well as the Northern Alliance and the FSA. Part of the Navy is sent to the St. Lawrence River while more ships are redirected to the Great Lakes. President Seward orders the Army to invade more of Ontario and Quebec. Undercover agents are sent to Quebec to incite a secessionist movement in it.
Federated States Diplomacy: President Yates sends a communique to President Seward telling him that war has been declared on the Brits and currently conducting campaigns in Ohio and Michigan. Will assist New York and the Northern Alliance.
NY D: New York commends the FSA and offers a full alliance.

France: France sends the Navy to the St. Lawrence in hope of reclaiming Quebec and more of Canada. France request several other nations to assist against Britain, including Russia. The Army occupies Montreal and Ottawa.
Spain: Spain follows France's lead against Britain and sends aid to all the nations that Britain is attacking. The Spanish Navy goes along the Atlantic Seaboard, sinking as many British ships as possible and preventing them from getting on land.
France and Spain: France and Spain deliver an ultimatum to Britain: Split Canada among its enemies or face utter and total and complete defeat and annihilation.
United States: The United States defeat the British Navy in the Chesapeake Bay, and they repel a British attack on Erie. General Meade plans on invading Ontario, but he first invades Ohio.
Federated States Diplomacy: Told the US that they are also sending troops to Ohio with the goal of taking out the Brits.
United States Diplomacy: Then we can work together.
Federated States Diplomacy: Agreed. The FSA will attack the Brits on the western part of Ohio while the US will attack on the Brits on the eastern part of Ohio. Both forces should meet in Columbus. Once the forces will meet the FS will fight along side of the US.
Michigan: Michigan repels British attacks on its territory and the army invades Ontario.
Virginia: In the face of the British invasion, President Lee takes personal command of the Republican Army and drives the British back, reclaiming much of Virginia. The British are driven back to the Atlantic thanks to Lee's brilliance as well as the new balloon bombing system. The heroic men of the Air Scout Corps are given the Republican Star for distinguished valor in the face of enemy fire. The Republican Navy scores victories against the Royal Navy thanks to the assistance of the Spanish. President Lee thanks the French and Spanish for stepping in against Britain's unwarranted aggression. Troops are sent to the Outer Banks and northeast North Carolina and oust the British from these areas.
France: France takes over Newfoundland and Labrador with the assistance of Spain. Meanwhile, more troops are sent to other unguarded British possessions in North America.
Republic of New England: The RNE Repulses the British attacks with the combined efforts of the army, navy, special forces, and balloon forces. War is declared. The RNE sends troops into New York to help them fight. The navy takes out British ships in long island sound and near the Atlantic coasts. The RNE thanks for the aid from France and Spain. Special forces are sent into Quebec to help incite rebellion and to wreak havoc on British military installations. They successfully destroy several British ships and buildings at dock in Montreal. Factories are put on full war time production. They produce large quantities of liberator repeaters, liberator snipers, cannon, ammo, attack balloons, bombs, ironclads, ships, clothing and other necessities. Gatling guns are starting to be made and put on the front lines
Massachusetts: Quickly with Spanish and French help, devastates the British fleet attacking then invades New Brunswick, Quebec, and Montreal, bring them all under the heel of Massachusetts. Sends ironclads with Gatling guns and cannons to England, accompanied with 5000 SWS soldiers, who attack several villages, drawing away the British from America. Sends troops to help Pennsylvania, the RNE, and New York. Uses balloon troops to raid all of Canada.
NY R: New York sends aid to all of its allies in their campaigns.
Florida: The FDF continues to expand its infrastructure. Also the Floridians continues to expand their navy with the launch of the FSS Jacksonville.

World Event: France, Spain, and the States have forced defeat unto the British. France and Spain are working on a new world map.
Florida: The Florida Legislature and the Georgia Legislature begin talks of unification. The Floridian President also begins to endorse the unification of Georgia and Florida. The FDF continues to modernize from its shipments from Texas. The Florida legislature also begins talks with the Cuban rebels to see if the Cubans could possibley gain independence and join Florida. The FSS Saint Augustine is launched.
Kentucky: The military begins an invasion of Indiana, and one fourth of the state is taken. Meanwhile, more infrastructure is built on the home front.
Federated States Diplomacy: Warns Kentucky that Indiana is under FSA control. Failure to move from Indiana will result in a state of war.
Kentucky Diplomacy: Not wanting to start a war, we withdrawal, and apologize, as we did not know Indiana was part of the FS. We ask if we can keep our friendship.
Federated States Diplomacy: No worries.. Will start building the railroad between the FSA and Kentucky.
Great Plains Republic: More Farms and Military bases are built. A Military goal is set into place. Infrastructure is increased.
California: California mobilizes its army and sends small raidin

In other news, why the heck did Michigan not get the land a rocks throw away from Detroit. It makes 99% more sense for us to have that than a small bit of Central Ontario. Also, a naval invasion should take less land than an invasion across a river which is basically crossing over a bridge.
First of all, because Pennsylvania ought to get some land too: Note: You got more land than Pennsylvania. Second: New York didn't just cross a river. They marched through that land "a rock's throw away" from the border and occupied Toronto and Ottawa. Big difference. Also, you got all the Canadian Islands in Lake Huron and Lake Superior.

New York: New York prepares for the first presidential election which will be held in two turns. Meanwhile, more urbanization and industrialization occurs, and architects in New York City begin work on very tall buildings called "skyscrapers." More ironclads are introduced to the navy, bringing the total to twelve. New York's population is greatly increased and the Republic now contains four states: New York, Southeast Vermont, New Sweden, and Erie. New York asks if it can buy Southern New Jersey and/or the Erie Triangle from Pennsylvania. New York also sends trade agreements and alliances to European nation out there. President Seward asks permission from Pennsylvania to move armies through their new Ontario land if necessary.

U.S. Diplomacy: We are not interested in selling anything right now.
Federated States: The FSA send forces into Missouri with hopes of increasing the territory now that war with the Brits is over. A quarter of the states is under FSA control so far. Also the FSA is getting more resources now they are trading with New York and Massachusetts. The FSA Navy built the first sea ship called the FSS Chicago. Before going to sea they had to ask permission from Michigan, US, New York, RNE, and Mass for permission to sail in their waters. The capital city of Chicago is expanding at a fast pace with more industry in the city. Also construction has begun on a new capital building and a new executvie mansion with the limestone from Indiana. Meanwhile, more infrastructure is being developed and a railway between the FSA and Kentucky has been started. .
Texas: Since Great Britain just attacked one of its allies, Texas offers an alliance with France and Spain. Texas moves troops into southern Missouri, hoping to gain a foothold on the Mississippi. Troops head north and east, capturing Kansas city and heading towards the Mississippi in the southern part of the state. The railroad to Phoenix is complete, and telegraph poles are to be installed along them, establishing a more effective communication link with California.
Federated States Diplomacy: How about we split Missouri. You take the south and the FSA will take the north with the promise of open access in the Mississippi River.
Virginia: Virginia declares war on North Carolina and invades the northeastern part of the state as well as the Outer Banks. President Lee calls on Kentucky to invade Tennessee. After the Anglo-Virginian War, the ranks of the Air Scout Corps flood with volunteers. The new repeater is now issued to all troops and the Bomber Division Command is created. President Lee begins campaigning for reelection and is expected to win in a landslide.
Kentucky Diplomacy: We agree to invade, and invade the most Western part of the nation.
Republic of New England: The RNE now has five states in it Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New Lawrence. Roads, railroads, and telegraph lines are built in New Lawrence, connecting it to the rest of the country. Reconstruction begins. The cities of Montreal and Quebec City are incorporated in the countries metro systems, being key railroad and road intersections.
Massachusetts: With the army still mobilized at 4% of total population, Mass sails through the Great Lakes, and lands 50,000 troops in Michigan, while mobilizing another 5,000 in the 1st Air Force, and 28,000 of the 3rd Naval Corps. They then suggest that the Northern Alliance attack Michigan.

Confederate States of Dixie: The CSD invades Georgia and takes Atlanta, and unless an algorithm is needed, Georgia is occupied after its surrender and annexed by the CSD. The CSD also invades Lousiana and Arkansas and begins to conquer the former States.

United States: The Unites States, with more territory under its belt, launches an invasion of Delaware. Soldiers march into the Delmarva peninsula, and ironclads attack them. If anyone askes, we do have a legitimate reason for attacking, so don't worry. The state is expected to fall soon.
So what is this legitimate reason? Delaware was previously an ally if I am correct.
We were never allies, we just partitioned Maryland. The reason was a territorial dispute between Pennsylvania and Delaware that was only resolved in the 1900s I believe. Perfect and legitamate reason here.

This game is moving pretty fast!
Mod Event 1: The British Empire loses colonies worldwide to France and Spain, starting the end of Pax Brittanica. Historians were formerly predicting a "Pax America," but now, views are shifting to either a "Pax Francia" or "Pax Hispania."
Mod Event 2: A revolution in Arkansas establishes an anti-slavery government. All slave owners are trashed in the Mississippi and all slaves are freed and educated.
New York: New York asks Michigan if it can buy the part of Ontario it was given by the French. (You know, the triangular patch of land near my land.) New York establishes a subway system underground with trolleys. Research begins into mobile carriages that move themselves without horses. (That's right, we're working on cars.) New York Day is celebrated again with large festivities. A new anthem is adopted, the March of Glory. (It sounds like OTL's "Hail to the Chief." I originally wanted to use Star Wars's "Imperial March," but I decided against it.)
Car will not be allowed at least until when it was invented in OTL.

Federated States: The FSA is slowly making progress against Missouri, however, the war effort is now focus on the northern half of the state. Meanwhile, the Federated Congress passed a bill that will changed the amount of the states in the FSA. Illinois will be divided into three states (North Illinois, Centralia, and South Illinois). Also the new capital building and the new executive mansion is being built. It will be called the Lake House since it is near Lake Michigan. Meanwhile, the rail linking Federated States and Kentucky is making progress.

I was thinking in fact, maybe - since our overall goal is to conquer all of America (and maybe a little more...) the northern alliance (and possibly the FSA) should conquer all other states then simply unite... and yeah, all claims agreed to.
Federated Response: Neutrality (since the Federated States is allied with New York and Michigan), however, to prevent this from spreading faster into a general American war, President Yates asks all parties to meet in Chicago to discuss ways to prevent this from getting out of hand.
Mass Response: We will attend but will continue the invasion nevertheless. Insists that the invasion of Missouri is discussed as well.
Republic of New England: The RNE declares neutrality in the Michigan conflict. Farms and factories are built all over the country, including New Lawrence, farms primarily in the country side and factories in Montreal and Quebec City. Factories are stepped down from full time war production, to peace time production. Though liberator rifles, liberator snipers, artillary, ammo are still produced to keep the growing military in shape and supplied. The country prepares for the nations first election next year. The premiere universities in the country (Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, and Universite Laval) report record attendance. Research on all matters of technology is started.
Texas: Texas quickly declares war on the Confederation of Dixie for its war on its ally, Louisiana. Troops are deployed to the Mississippi river and prepare for combat. Meanwhile, Texas continues its invasion of Missouri. Invasion is expected to be complete by September (next turn). An alliance and trade agreement is offered to the Great Plains Republic. Meanwhile, Texas sends a proposal to Arkansas, offering to annex the state on the grounds that Arkansas will remain slave-free.
Federated States Diplomacy: Also has troops in Missouri.. Will control the northern part of Missouri with exchange of open access to the Mississippi River.

The navy is sent to Guard the Great Lakes and now river travel to Detroit from Lake Erie is impossible (It's a river and a ship sinking in it would make it impossible to travel up or down.). By algorithm, New York and Massachusetts would almost indefinitely and undoubtedly defeat Michigan.
How on Earth are we pushed back to the borders? This is at most a 6-month total victory, just saying ... so really in another turn Michigan should be annexed. Whats the result as it stands now?

New York: New York continues to invade Michigan. Meanwhile, the first Presidential Elections are held and William H. Seward and Luther Bradish are elected President and Vice President respectively. New York tightens its grip on the Great Lakes near it and only allows allies to pass through. New York again agrees to a peace if Michigan will cede land to New York.
CSD: The CSD apologizes and asks for a pre-war status quo with Louisiana and its allies. The CSD offers Florida a deal to split Georgia between Florida and the CSD.

Mass D: Promises to declare war on any one who breaks the Northern Alliance. No offence meant to any side, this is just meant to reassure them. Any preemptive assault will be seen as aggressive and war declared.

Michigan-Michigan Troops lose the new land in Central Ontario but battle strong elsewhere. Massachusetts Troops are being fought back well. New Yorkers is the other way around and now barricades are set up a draft occurs, raising military strength. FSA Diplomacy: Will send a division of troops to key ares of Michigan with the hopes of stopping the New York and Mass invasion. The FSA offers this proposal, Land for peace. Michigan will have portion of Southern Ontario (currently held by New York) and New York will have Central Ontario (currently held by New York). Kentucky: North Carolina is finally defeated, and Kentucky annexes the area it conquered. With the nearby areas conquered, Kentucky begins to relax and the army begins to be stationed 'round the nation for defensive reasons. Kentucky promises its neighbors that this will be its last war on conquest, and begins to build up its industry.
Federated States: The Federated States has now conquered the northern part of Missouri. President Yates promises to end the fighting for now since the public of the Federated States is getting tired of war, however, with the situation with New York, Massachusetts, and Michigan forces are on high alert. The rail linking Chicago and the Kentucky is getting close to the Kentucky border. They ask the Government of Kentucky in where the rail can go or if they want to meet a central point to link the rail. The Lake House and the new Capitol Building is getting built at a record pace. It should be completed next sometime in 1864. New universities is built up and research is increased.

Virginia: A black man receives the Medal of Honor, the first to do so. Thomas Washington single handedly destroyed a Gatling gun nest and dragged a dozen wounded comrades to safety. Attitudes towards blacks begin to change after this with a majority of whites protesting for more rights for blacks. In response, President Lee grants blacks full citizenship, the right to vote ,and increased wages. Although still slaves, they don't seem to mind their situation due to their new rights and increased pay. The General Assembly passes into law the Slave Family Protection Act. This law specifies that families in the slave trade are a package deal and cannot be separated. Slave Protection Services (SPS) is created to enforce the new laws as well as look into the abuse of slaves. Maternity Leave is created for for pregnant slaves as well as whit women. Due to the recent educational reform, 75% of slaves are now educated. These slaves are asked if they would like to continue on and get a more advanced education to which a massive 93% agree. The Interracial Cooperation League (ICL) is created and membership sky rockets with 20,000 blacks and 15,000 whites signing up in the first week. In other news, the Trans Virginia Railway is created, running from Virginia Beach through Richmond and out to West Virginia.

But we can also justify it with the fact that there was no real government in that situation, that it was just an unorgaized territory. Even in the case of Missouri, there was no active government. And Oklahoma was a gift. You are attacking a state with a legitimate government who has reached out and interacted with others. And you know what? Texas condemns the act also.

Texas: Texas demands that New York and Massachusetts stop attacking Michigan and demands status quo ante bellum. There was little to no justification for the attack, which means that there is no reason for New York and Massachusetts to be attacking Michigan. Imperialistic actions will be a cause for war. Attack of another stable and legitimate government must not be allowed. Texas begins to take advantage of the Texan-Californian railroad for trading purposes. Texas proposes a railway linking California', Texas, and Louisiana. Factories begin to increase output of weapons and wartime supplies. Meanwhile, Texas also creates its own Air Corps, which will begin with 20 hot air balloons.
Federated States Diplomacy: The Federated States proposes a railway linking Texas and the Federated States. Also about forming an Mid-American alliance with Kentucky, Michigan, and other states in the middle North America to form an new alliance.

Massachusetts: Same bloody reason. And I've said so, note. Speaking of Which, though status quo ante bellum is out, the current status quo would be acceptable to Mass. I can't speak for NY, but I'm pretty sure NY would agree. In addition, then, Mass won't expand until 1900 exept if any allies are attacked. Finally, a non aggression pact (tantamount to an alliance) would be offered to the American Aliiance, as well as a trade alliance.
Federated States: The Federated states is looking for ways to stop the New York and Massachusetts invasion of Michicgan. The Federated States sends the FSS Illinois and the FSS Enterprise near the Upper Peninsula to point out that they are near Meanwhile, the factories is getting more effcient and putting out equal amount military and civilan goods. Meanwhile, later in 1864, the Federated States will start the Air Corp. Meanwhile, in Missouri, things are rough. The Federated States outlawed slavery in that territory. Michigan Troops fight back the foreigners back with help from other nations. It is now back at pre-war borders will the support. It joins the Mid-American Alliance which puts more nations behind it. Troops continue to march into the face of battle. The people moral skyrocket and it is now the frontrunner on land but losing at the sea. It ask for foreign troops to defend Michigan.
Federated Diplomacy: The Federated States will send two army divisions to be stationed near the borders and will send the FSS Illinois and the FSS Enterprise near the Upper Peninsula with the Marines on the ships.
Massachusetts Diplomacy: We'll back off for control of Ontario or the Northern Peninsula.
New York Diplomacy: New York needs Ontario. (Duh, it borders New York) and demands control of the Upper Peninsula. Massachusetts can have full control of the waterways because they have expressed no legitimate reason for invading Michigan while New York wants to reunite the Union.
I'm fed up with this. New York and Massachusetts would have won with no question, using the algorithm. If Michigan refuses to give up, we'll just follow the rules and split Michigan among ourselves BECAUSE WE WOULD HAVE WON.
But, you have to remember, Michigan also has people backing them now. If it came to an algorithm, each side would have one algorithm per country, the points for each side totaled, and the higher number would win. In this case, Michigan has (at least) Texas, California, and the Federated States behind them.
California and the FSA would have to remain neutral because NY is an ally of both and the FSA and Mass are also allies. Meanwhile, the FSA is also an ally of Michigan. However, New York is the strongest nation in this war, with the algorithm for New York totaling over 1000. Texas, fine, Texas can help Michigan. Besides, if the FSA joins Michigan, New York can invade and take at least Indiana. Not the best idea here to fight against the Coalition. (New York and Massachusetts.)
I would say Massachutes would lose with a sea invastion. New York another story. But if you ally with two nations at war, it is an allied nation's duty to defend that nation, period.
I'm invading for the EXACT SAME REASON Scraw. And I stated it. As for the Sea invasion, Mass and NY combined would steamroll over Michigan, and Amphbious invasions get plus 2 for the attacker according to the algorithm. And I meant that we would give Ontario to you - that was the coalition together.

We are doing nothing wrong. We are fighting in the name of good and uniting a failed nation. And, you have made a grave error: NEW YORK has more than 2.3 million people and Mass is also heavily populated.

Republic of New England: The RNE holds its first elections in the history of the nation. The winner is James Smith of Rhode Island wins the race, his vice president is Roger Averill of Connecticut. Arkansas: The Arkansans elect Whig Isaac Murphy as the new President of the Free Republic of Arkansas. The FRA officially founds an Arkansan Army, and start constructing fortifications for the purpose of defending the nation from their neighbors. The Arkansans start expanding their industry in order to fund the expansion of the military. People from all over the country begin flocking to the major cities to seek jobs in the new factories.
Kentucky: More industry and infrastructure is built. It also joins the Mid-American Alliance. More factories are encouraged to set up here. People begin to move to the cities, and more mines are made to get more resources.
CSD: The CSD invades Tennessee to claim its land agreed uon with the other borders, while CSD troops invade Georgia and begin to conquer the land up to the agreed upon borders with the other nations. The CSD then offers Texas an offer to divide Arkansas between the two nations:

Pittsburg is fortified, and Washington is now fully repaired. Franklin, Hamilton, and Lincoln Memorials are planned to be constructed. The United States invites New York officials to come to the dedication ceremony of the Hamilton Memorial when it is completed.

Arkansas: The Arkansans continue to expand their military to defend their territory against would-be expansionalists. The Arkansans continue to build more factories, which further draws people to Arkansas's major cities. The Arkansans offer trade agreements and alliances to Texas and Louisana, as they had defended their sovreignty against would-be conquerors.
Great Plains Republic: The Great Plains Republic held elections and the newly formed party the National Conservatives took over as the New President Isaac Kelvin Jameson becomes the 2nd President and the First National Conservative or Bison Party to become President. A lot of Factories are built, Industrialization, Urbanization and Militarization begins in the GPR. Military and Industrial Agricultural Ambitions are being achieved under President Jameson.
So, is Michigan defeated yet? I think so.

Carolina: Georgian resistance is crushed. they are nearly taken over. Carolinian troops meet CSD troops near Atlanta.
Federated States: The slave owners rebellion is slowly going away in Missouri. There is a prediction that the slaves owners will end the rebellion sometime late in 1864 or early in 1865. Former slaves is slowly intergraing into society. Some is joing the FSA army, going to various cities with potential opportunity for work, or start their own farm. There is a new Air Corp division with five balloons. Also Federated States is looking for ways to shoot down the balloons. Also finally the Federated army has a Gatling gun. Meanwhile, the Federated army sends more troops to Michigan. This time to the lower peninsula. President Yates spoke to a joint session of Congress stating that Michigan has been with us since our beginning we will stand by Michigan. He pleads to the good people of New York and Mass to stop this foolish venture. Meanwhile, the Federated Navy sends the FSS Chicago near the Upper Peninsula near Lake Superior.
Mass Response: Michigan's all gone to hell. By now, Mass and NY have won, methinks. Anyway, all we want is control of the Upper Peninsula.

New York Response: This is not a foolish venture, we've won by now, we've been fighting three turns and Michigan was really weak the first two turns. Anyway, we'll offer peace in exchange for the Upper Ontario, and part of the Lower.
Kentucky: More industry is built up. Meanwhile, we ask Virginia, the FS, and Carolina if they want to form the American Alliance. It will protect members from aggressors who want to conquer all of America. It would also allow any other nations to join it.
Federated States: Actaully the Mid America Alliance will soon change to the American Alliance if California joins the Alliance.

Michigan-The help is no good and the forgin New York Troops capture the Upper Peninsula. In order to prevent chaos. All men 19-25 must serve and fight. The government is asked to operate from Chicago. In an emergency resolution, a law is made that if a half of the lower peninsula is captured, it will join the FSA or USA. whichever helps more.
Federated States: Will move the troops from the Upper Peninsula to the Lower Peninsula and accepts Michigans offer that it can operate from Chicago. President Yates ask Michigan to join the FSA. He thinks the US will invade what is left of Michigan. Will accomandate you in anyway we can.

New York: New York troops finally take the Upper Peninsula and Ontario and will accept peace with Michigan in exchange for part of the Lower Peninsula. New York asks the United States (Pennsylvania) to honor its alliance with New York and invade Southern Michigan. New York begins work on a Washington Monument in Buffalo. New York also asks the Republic of New England to assist in the invasion of Michigan since they are part of the Northern Alliance. Help is also beeeched from France and Spain.
Republic of New England: The RNE starts to built several tunnels underneath Massachusetts and for the first time in the history of the nation, both parts of the country are connected. The great ship is nearly completed and will be finished soon, with only a few components that need to be added. Several more ballons are added to the air forces. More gatling guns are produced and added to miltary units and fortifications. The military expands with more troops. Several forts and other fortifications are built in New Lawrence in other to help protect it. The navy develops one of the world's first submarines (similar to OTL Hunley), The Navy chiefs are impressed by the designs and order the production of one of the subs to test it out. The designs are locked up and kept secret, except for the military brass and the president and congress.
United States: The United States continue industrialization in the country. The Erie territory elects to become a state, bringing the total to five.

Northern Federal Republic: The NFR emerges from isolation and positions thousands of militia along the border with Michigan to control immigration and for "protection." It offers an alliance with the Pacific Republic to form the North-West Alliance. Meanwhile, the economy and military is built up as farming intensifies and thousands of conscripts are trained into a professional army.
Federated States Diplomacy: Offers a trade agreement and possibly an alliance. Also apologizes for what the former Republic of Illinois did in Wisconsin and Iowa. Promises not to invade the NFR at all.
New York Diplomacy: New York offers a non-aggression pact and promises not to invade the NFR.
NFR Diplomacy: The NFR accepts the Federated States offer of a trade agreement and an alliance while also signing the Non-Aggression Pact with New York.
Pacific Republic: The Pacific Republic accepts this alliance.
Federated States: The slaves owner rebellion in Missouri is showing signs of weakness yet still strong. While some areas of Missouri has been pacified, President Yates is willing to let the pacified areas of Missouri to become a state and with representation in the Federated Congress. Arkansas: The Arkansans continue to fund further industrial growth, as their economy continues to grow. They also begin to feel some population growth, as quite a few people immigrate to Arkansas to take part in the growing economy. The Arkansans build their first railway between their capital at Little Rock and the second largest city of Fort Smith. They hope to use this railroad as a trade link with Texas. The Arkansans fund the creation of a national university system. Five universities are founded in the five most populated cities of the republic. It is planned to turn these universities into the "Ivy League" of Arkansas.
New York Diplomacy: New York offers an alliance to Arkansas since it is good to have a southern ally.
Arkansas Diplomacy: The Arkansans accept New York's offered alliance. They request that the New Yorkers expand it to incude a trade pact, as the Arkansans want to import industrial machinery from New York. However, they refuse to fight in any of New York's conflicts, as the Arkansans want to preserve their neutrality.

CSA: The CSA builds more industry in the nation, and more infrastructure is built across the nation. Elections across the nation are held, and John Smith, the owner of a few factories in the nation, wins the elections.
Mexico: Mexico begins to build up its infrastructure and Armed Forces as well as its Navy. Mexico, now much stronger without the influence of the USA, decides to invade Central America and begins to conquer the small Latin American nations, which, as told by the President, will be followed by the Mexican conquest of Texas.

It sets sail to demonstrate New England's greatness and plans to sail to the nations of the former US and to Spain and France. Education is flourishing in the country and President Averill invites students from anywhere in the world to come and learn at New England's institutions of higher learning.

Northern Federal Republic: The Northern Federal Republic demands the release of all Federated States' Troops and threatens war if they are not released. The NFR Army graduates its first recruits, meaning the "Army of the North" consists of 26,000 well trained and armed troops, all deployed strategically along the Upper Peninsula-border. Meanwhile, the capital of the NFR is moved to Keystone where the Congress Meeting Hall and the "Rushmore Mansion" are built to provide a meeting place for the Congress and to house the President of the NFR. Across the fledgling nation more and more land is sold to farmers and ranchers to provide money for the new Railroad Project. Farming begins to form the backbone of the economy while a small mining company reports large deposits of gold, copper and coal in East Montana.
Federated States Diplomacy: Suggest a joint rail between the two nations. A rail linking Chicago and Keystone.
Mexico (Mod Controlled): Since the former USA thinks that Mexico is occupied in Central America, the Modern, Industriallized Mexican Army and Navy now numbers over 750,000 men in the Army and 89 of the latest naval vessels. The Mexican Army then launches a surprise invasion of Florida by attacking through the Florida keys and blockading the country. The CSA is offered land if it helps Mexico in the war. Mexican troops easily defeat the main Floridan Army at the Battle of Orlando and finally destroy them at the 2nd Battle of Tallahassee, and the state effectivly is put under Mexican control. In less than three months, Florida has fallen to the Mexican Army and Navy. The CSA is given parts of Florida north of Orlando and Tallahassee. The CSA is then offered a permanent alliance with Mexico.
Federated States: Demands that Michigan returns the troops. Meanwhile, the slave owners rebellion is showing a significant surge. Federated Officials is wondering where they are getting the support from. Meanwhile, Federated troops is on the Michigan border until all of the Federated troops have been returned. Yes, I did use the algorithm, it was overwhelming against Florida, Mexico wants to expand and sees Florida as an easy target and weak as well as great for Tourism, it wants to keep some countries on its good side, and since the CSA is the rising star in the old eastern USA, it would like to keep on its good side.
It just doesn't make much sense to me. Either way, you still need to post the algorithm on the algorithm talk page so we can check you.
I say this is complety Godmodding by Deansim so he could get land in Florida. They would much rather invade California or Texas.

Virginia: President Lee meets with the CSA and tries to work out an alliance. He asks for support in an upcoming invasion of Carolina and support if Mexice should attack Virginia as a result. The military is upgraded with the Air Scout Corps being enlarged. The Republican Navy is also upgraded and now has a total of 60 ships.

Mexican Diplomacy: Mexico promises it won't harm Virginia if it invades Carolina, and even offers the following borders should the invasion be succesful:
Great Plains Republic: Military is increased and the GPR government is offering free scholarships to Universites around the Country for High School gradutes, in the demand of Biology and Warfare. Civil unrest breaks out all across towns and even in the Capital of GPR Lincoln, Martial law is declared by Government and Military force is used.

Massachusetts: Backs up FSA claim over stolen troops, pulls all troops out of Michigan (I feel like an idiot that I missed the peace process ... my fault I didn't get any land). Finishes building rails and roads under the RNE such that all Mass is connected. Pulls army off red alert and starts researching into submersibles and cars (builds neither).
CSA: The CSA agrees to invade Carolina. A large invasion force is prepared, and will be deployed when Virginia tells us to.
Mexican Diplomacy: Mexico proposes these post-war borders, and in echange for Mexican aid and support of the invasion, Mexico wishes for CS and Virginian aid in taking over Cuba and Central America, or at the very least Cuba.

Carolina: the Carolinians send diplomats and ask for an alliance with Texas and the USA. they also offer theese allinaces to Virginia and the CSD but are refused (they don't know of the planned invasion). The Carolinians have sucsessfully built up their infrastructure based on the plans they wanted to complete. They also finish constructing a series of coastal fortifications, and other forts around major cities.
Texan Diplomacy: Texas agrees, though it does not approve of the Carolinian expansion into North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. A trade agreement is also proposed.
Arkansas: The Arkansans continue to expand their industry through their country. The Arkansans officially establish a new Arkansan dollar to replace the US dollar, which the Arkansans were still using on a provisional basis. A mint is built to start production of the new currency, with most of the obsolete Yankee coins being gathered to be restruck in the new Arkansan currency. Only a few of the old American coins remain, and in coming years they become valuable pieces of Americana. The ARS Solon Borland is officially launched, and it begins patrolling Arkansan waters to protect Arkansan shipping. The ARS Ozark is the next to launch.
FSA: President Yates announced that he is not running for relection. He told the people that the four years is enough and after the next election he stated the 6 year term will start. Ten years as President is two much for one man. In Missouri, the Federated Army declared martial law and started to clamp down on the slave owners rebellion. Former slaves is in the army asked to be stationed in Missouri to get revenge on the slave owners. The FSA also started construction of the rail linking the NFR and the FSA. Also launched two more ships, the FSS Indiana, and the FSS Peoria. The ships contain at least two units of Marines and heading twoards Michigan. Still no word from Michigan with regards the troops.
Texas: Texas, feeling threatend, begins to bring in new technology and scientists/inventors to help them improve the military. A railway is proposes from Texas to the FSA.
Federated States Diplomacy: Agrees, however, the situation is still chaotic in our side of Missouri. Once the Slave owners rebellion is over the railway will be built.

Federated States: With the troops returning from Michigan the stand off has ended. The troops is sent to Missouri to put down the rebellion. A delegation from the state department is sent to Ohio to convince them to join the FSA. President Yates is asking the NFR, Texas, and New York to come over for a visit. Basically cement relations with those countries. Also there is talk about talking to the CSA for diplomatic relations.

FSA: With the added troops in Missouri, the Slave owners rebellion is being crushed. With 90% of the state "pacified" martial law has been lifted, and the rail linking the FSA and Texas has now started along with other other infrastructure improvements. However, they are concerned in where the Slave owners got the support. They ask Texas if they had any issues with outsiders stirring up a rebellion in their part of Missouri. They are not blaming them, but just wondering. Negotiatians with Ohio is going smoothly. There is talk that Ohio will join the FSA. However, if things fall apart, the troops are ready to attack in case. With a rash of Presidental assinations and attempts in other countries, the FSA hired the Pinkerton Detective Agency to guard the President until a Secret Service can be proprely trained.

Northern Federal Republic: An invasion of Greater Colorado is planned and thousands of troops are prepared to invade. An offer is extended to Texas to aid in the attack (you can get Colorado I just want Wyoming) Meanwhile, millions of dollars of minerals are sent back to keystone from East Montana as thousands migrate West to that state. The navy is expanded to ten ships of the line, which are used to protect Northern shipping in the Great Lakes. President Custer and his family move into the Rushmore Mansion as Keystone is completed.

FSA: The Slave owners rebellion in Missouri is over. The leadership was captured and tried for treason. They refused to talk. They where hanged. The invasion of Ohio with the US is going well. Even though Federated officials preferred the whole state, they only got half. The currency is no longer the US Dollar, it is now the FS Dollar. The Federated States suggested there should be a standard exchange rate between each nations. In the election Abram A. Hammond of Indiana won the election. He is the first person elected of the Federated States to a six year term. He won't be in office until 1867. Meanwhile, the Federated States, changed the military uniforms from blue to dark grey. The Federated States is preparing an offensive against the CSA.
California: California captures Nevada, and occupies Las Vegas, and much of the 1st California Army and 2nd California Rangers is in Nevada, and the occupation of Nevada begins. The remainder of the 1st Army is sent into Deseret. Meanwhile, war production continues and the draft is instated, and enlists an limited number of people.
Texas: Texas moves troops into Deseret and aim to occupy the state within the next six months (next turn). Texas mobilizes troops in Missouri and on the border of Louisiana to attack the CSA. Texas finally starts to mint the Texan Dollar. Construction in Dallas is nearly completed, and is inaugurated as the nation's new capitol. Talk begins about spliting the state of Texas into two or more separate states. Texas adds five new ships and five new subs to its navy.

Greater Colorado Coloradan generals realize the efficiency of Gatling guns, and form 'Gatling Regiments' of 16 guns each. Three regiments are formed. Colorado Border Guard is formed. Military issues wartime drafts, and begins to build up military. Coloradan Nationalist Party is created, and is gaining support amongst the people. New York: The national colors become black, white, and blue. The army's uniforms are changed to match these colors: black for the land, blue for sea, and white is the weaponry and such. New York completely cuts off all relations with Cali and Texas. President Bradish asks if a New York Embassy can be built in Pittsburgh or Washington (it would be a great place for embassies) and vice-versa. Midterm elections are held and the liberal Republican Party maintains its rule in both houses of Congress. The Federal Diplomacy Lands are built on Staten Island, leaving land for any other nations to build embassies and consulates there.

The Arkansans continue to develop their border fortfications, and their greatest military engineers are busy designing a type of fortification that can be defended with a minimal garrison.
Great Plains Republic: Military is amped up, industrialization is improved, infrastructure is improved. Technology research is going up. Great Plains Republic Military starts to build a wall around the Country to protect it from Aggression in the meantime Military bases are set up at the borders on 24/7 patrols.
Greater Colorado Elections: The 1867 Greater Colorado Elections have finished! In Lesser Colorado, Adolf Freitag of the German-Coloradan Party won. The Lesser Germany Elections ended, again with Adolf Freitag. In Western Colorado, Ulysses Freeman of the Colorado Nationalist Party barely ran victorious. In Farmstate, Jakob Harrison of the Liberal Party won by a landslide. In the Denver elections, Jakob Harrison and Adolf Freitag had a tie, but it was Adolf Freitag who gained the blue ribbon. Greater Colorado creates the world's first scouting organisation with the Greater Colorado Boy Scouts. Boys all over the country flock to recruiting posts. Their uniform resembles the Army uniforms; Olive Drab Kepi, Olive Drab wool tunic, and green cotton pants. The army adopts Henry rifles and Prussian breech-loading weapons. New tactics are researched for more modern, faster, more accurate weapons. Colorado Credits and centicredits are steady in value, for they are made of metals, which are worth more than paper money.
Northern Federal Republic: The three-fourths of Wyoming ceded to the NFR is annexed into the state of Wyoming. However, due to the very low population of the nation, immigration to the new state is very low. To combat this President Custer passes the "Northern Land Reform Act" which offers large amounts of land to people immigrating to the NFR. Thousands of immigrants flood in from nations east to claim they're own farmland/mining territory. Meanwhile, the military is upgraded, introducing repeating rifles as the standard rifles along with gatling guns. The navy is also updated, making the NFR Defense Fleet a total of fifteen ships. Mining in East Montana is amped up so that millions of dollars of minerals are unearthed every week.

The Federated States will call them the FSS Richard Yates (after the first president of the Federated States) and the FSS Indiana. The FSA is asking that that nations on the Mississippi River declare it an open water way. However, they do ask that any goods the stopped at Alton, St Louis, and Quincy. After the Ohio war, there was no rebellion which shocked the officials. The Federated Congress and President Hammond signed into law that will give females the right to vote.
Arkansas: The Arkansans continue to expand their industry through their country. The Arkansans celebrate the completion of the Arkansan railway network by unveiling the Presidential Express, which is to be the personal train of the Arkansan President. The Arkansans begin phasing out the bright blue uniforms inherited from the Americans with olive green uniforms, though the dress uniforms remain blue. The Arkansans build a number of balloons for the purpose of adding another layer to Arkansan border defenses. They also begin research on steerable airships, though they are still years from a functioning prototype. The Arkansans officially join the League of Nations, which they hope will stop the conflicts on the North American continent.
Greater Colorado:The Socialist Party of Colorado, and American Unity Party are formed. The Liberal Party collapsed after the 1867 elections because most of the leaders where killed in a bombing by a mentally-ill man. Death count was twenty-six members, including Presidental candidate Jakob Harrison. The man was caught outside fleeing the scene and running into a bar when police saw him. The man proceded to the balcony, shot himself in the head, letting his body fall from the top floor. Women get the right to equal education as public education and child labor laws are put into place.
Great Plains Repulic: The border wall is nearly complete. The Rail way system with the FSA and around the country is all but finished. More Urbanization continues, Crop yeilds go up causing a mass surplus which the government sells the other nations. Technology research continues and Military is expanded. The GPR prepares for the elections. More Native american rights are passed.
CSA: The Government decides that the nation must Industrialize if it is to become strong enough to survive in the post-America World. Factories begin construction across the nation, and hundreds of people are moved to the cities from the countryside. Many Children start to work in Factories, sometimes with entire familees working in Factories. Meanwhile, we ask Carolina and Virginia if they want to form a Confederation, where each nation is a state in the new nation and we share resources.

Texas: Texas begins construction on a terminal for the Transcontinental Railroad in the capitol of Dallas. Ambassadors are sent to Transmississippi and the mexican nations to establish diplomatic ties. Northern Federal Republic: President Custer proposes the "Interstate Highway Program" which intends to build a series of highways across the state, starting and ending at a military base. The Program hopes to connect every major city and thus make traveling easier and increase trade throughout the nation. The main intention, however, is to provide easy access for the military and allow them to rush to certain areas in the nation and defend it. Meanwhile, Custer's Northern Land Reform Act entices thousands of immigrants to settle the new state of Wyoming and establish several mining camps. The economy, now based on mining and agriculture, begins to rise steadily as millions of dollars of minerals are sent back to factories to be processed and sold.

FSA: The Federated States passed more labor reform laws wihtin the country. First being that all child labor law is outlawed. The work week average is 40 hours a week, and factories must provide overtime if the workers work over 40 hours (only to factory workers). Also due to the segratation in Missouri, the Federated Congress pass a law outlawing segration all over the Federated States. New political parties is formed within the FSA. They are the Federated Whig Party, the Federated Liberal Party, and the Union Party. However, the Whig and the Liberal Party is the two major parties within the FSA. The Union Party is the smallest within the FSA. President Hammond sent a diplomatic team to the NFR capital of Keystone to form a political union under the name of the FSA, but the capital can be in Keystone and can bring some elements to the NFR Constitution of the FSA Constitution. The FSA also began construction of rail terminals in Columbus and Cincinnati to prepapre for the transconinental railroad. Also the Federated States is asking permission from various countries to build embassies in various North American countries.
NFR Dip: We realize your intention of creating a Political Union is very good hearted. However, we feel that having it named the Federated States would make us appear as if we have become a subject-state. Perhaps if you more clearly explained "political union" we may join. We will, however, allow you to build an embassy in Keystone and ask also to build an embassy in Chicago.
FSA Dip: We should discuss this further. What we propose is a Federal Union of equals partners. Why the Federated name, in case other nations would like to join us. If you do join, there will be a new Constitution, all people serving in both militaries will keep the ranks and current assingments. Also if the political union is agreed, it will take affect and the current President won't be the President of the new Federated States of America. You have permission to build an embassy in Chicago.

Carolina: troops are still stationed in occupied areas of Georgia, as the CSA has not ended the war with Carolina, but there is an armistice. Carolina becomes more isolationist.
Great Plains Republic: GPR expands their military, infrastructure and industry. Urbanization continues but still keeps a strong emphasis on Agriculture. Educatation and Tech Research is expanded as well. Elections are being held for the incumbent Bison Party (NS) and Liberal Socialist.

Southwest Republic: The SR hopes the Great War won't spread into North America, but to prepare for defense, begins constructing border defenses along Mormon nation to the south, and the Pacific Wall is once again reinstated as an active military defense fortification. Research in an new cannon begins, rail links with Las Vegas and Phoenix continue. Silver, gold, and industry is the top income for the Southwest Republic, with military income slowly arising.

The government, in an effort to encourage people to move to the cities to work in factories, announces that it will lower taxes for any citizen working in the industrial work force.
FSA: The Federated States declares neutraility in the current war. However, it left the door open to join if any of our North American allies is attacked. However, there is talk that war is going to happen and the Federated States military prepares for action.
United States: The United States declares neutrality in the current war, although the majority of politicians agree that war is inevitable, so steps of armarment are made. New currency denominations and regulations are announced and will be available on the nation page later.

Food prodcution is sent to the Military. As GPR opposes French impialism on the American contienent, The President Jameson in state of Union declared war against French Imperialism. Aid is sent to Britain and Prussia to help and form a better bond with them and improve relations.

Greater Colorado declares diplomatic support for Prussia and the North German Confederation. The day after the news of war got to Colorado, it decided to ship supplies out through Texas and into Austria and the other German states. In Congress: German-Coloradan Party got 68% of the vote with 34 seats. The Colorado Nationalist Party won 20% of the vote with 10 seats. The Socialist Party of Colorado got 2% of the vote with one seat. The American Unity Party got 9% of the vote with five seats. Bringing Congress to the allowed ten people per state except the AUP, 9% is 4.5. Any French attack on Coloradan shipping will be seen as a declaration of war and calls allies to declare war on France if that happens.
New England: The RNE hopes that the great war doesn't reach North America. But in the event it does, the military is put on high alert. Ships, subs and ironclads patrol the waters, balloons pattol the air and troops patrol the land. More forts are built and tons of factories are set to war time production.
Carolina: declares neutrality in the war (even the USA started out neutral. A major slave revolt happens in Charlotte, and slaves occupy the state house. The gevnor escapes, but a few congressmen are killed and/or captured. The slaves are fully in control of the city and demand their freedom and equality as citizens. Similar slave revolts happen throughout the country. the President is forced to resign, and elections cannot be held at the moment. Meanwhile, the slaves occupying the state house hold elections and vote in a freeman as the De Jure president. the state is on the verge of total anarchy, and a civil war begins between pro-slave and anti-slave forces.
CSA Diplomacy: We secretly send aid to the Carolina Government, to help them defeat the rebels.

Carolina: a bloody civil war rages on. owners, freemen, and slaves fight on both sides. during a battle in Columbia, the abolitionists free all men in the prison there, as they were jailed during the reign of the slaveholders. One of the groups goes renegade, goes to New York and steals an electric voting machine for no apparent reason. their current wereabouts are unknown.
FSA D: The Federated States offers to host a summit between the two factions to end the civil war.

CSA Diplomacy: We ask Carolina for an alliance against those who want to end Slavery in the South.

FSA: As the Federated States prepare for War, there is talk that the Federated States may support Prussia. Officially they are not allied with France since there is no contact with that nation. With free trade now official with the NFR, several companies that was invited to do business in the NFR started to build many factories. President Hammond told the business that they must obey the laws of the NFR. The Federated States is asking the United States to send aid through that country to the Slave Rebels in Carolina.
Technically, France saved your rear end when Britain was invading, remember?

CSA: Aid is sent to the Carolinan Government to help put down the Slave Rebelion. The Border with Carolina is shut down, and fences are being set up against it. We tell Carolina that this is to keep any Runaway Slaves from escaping into the CSA, possibly starting a rebelion here as well. Meanwhile, Industry and Infrastructure are built up.
New England: The RNE builds more defenses in the event of war. The RNE will welcome any runaway slaves into thier borders.
New York: The Anti-Slavery Act is passed, meaning that New York is providing aid to the slave rebellion in Carolina. Funding is also put in to create a slave rebellion in the CSA. New York tells the CSA and Carolina to end slavery to save their own nations. The New York Patent Office is created and the New York Patent Office Building is built on Staten Island.
FSA Dip: We would like to send aid to the slave rebellion can we send the aid through your nation?
Transmississippi: Offers to send assisstance to Carolina to put down the slave rebellion. Transmississippi also improves infrastructure. A pro-slavery president is elected and he announces Transmississippi will do almost anything to help its Southern sister nations.
Carolina diplomacy: We accept the help.
Great Plains Republic: Military, Economy and Infrastructure is expanded. Technology research is expanded as the country moving towards technological progress and urbanization and finishing up Industrilization up in the country. New Universties and Public schools are built.
Arkansas:The Arkansans continue to expand their industry throughout their country. The Arkansan railway continues to expand into Arkansas' new territorial additions.
Northern Federal Republic: The Highway Program is completed, with President Custer cutting the ribbon of the Interstate 01, the first highway to link every state in the nation. Trade flourishes and the economy skyrockets as FSA factories help produce more and more goods. Meanwhile, many demonstrations are held at the state capitols and at the Rushmore Mansion itself calling for Custer to publicly come out and support Prussia (due to the large German population in the NFR.) The army begins drilling everyday and the navy begins to patrol the Great Lakes.
Greater Colorado asks Texas if naval ships can be built in Texan shipyards. Work force will be Coloradan and Texan workers. Sorry for my unannounced leave of absence.
Texan Diplomacy: Texas agrees, as long as for every two Coloradan ships built, at least one Texan ship is built.
Southwest Republic: The SWR continues to prepare for possible war, and is expected to come to us soon. Menawhile, the SWR asks for the designs of the electric voting machine, and research on an new cannon continues. The SWR begins construction on an freeway system of its own, and suggests an Trans-National Highway.
NY D: New York agrees to give designs for the machine to the SWR.
Texan Diplomacy: Texas agrees to the Trans-National Highway.
FSA Dip: Federated States agrees to the Trans-National Highway
Texas: Texas begins to increase its army size in case of conflict. Meanwhile, an annexation proposal is sent to the Repubic of the Rio Grande.
Manitoba: Manitoban wheat fields prosper. Manitoba begins builing a railroad across the nation and improve economy. 15 new military barrakcs were built and the military is getting stronger. Manitoba begins working on an advanced cannon.
United States: The United States begins an invasion of Virginia, vowing to remove the practice of slavery there once and for all. Alliance requests are sent to the Rio Grande and the Yucatan, and (1-5 yes, 6-10 no) Rio Grande (3) and the Yucatan (4) both accept. Soldiers are sent to those countries to modernize and drill their militaries. Secret aid is given to anti-slave whites in Carolina, not the slave rebellion because we don't want any political blowback.
Pacific Republic: The military is expanded, especially the navy. Meanwhile, Vancouver and Seattle continue to grow.
ULRM: Expands Military. Ships arms and supplies to France. Suggests that all American states agree not to fight in America itself, but to just help their allies with aid, to prevent the outbreak of total war. Asks for machine designs from NY. Sends aid to slave rebellions in Carolina and CSA.
