The Celebes crisis was a prolonged military crisis between the Commonwealth of Oceania and the Republic of the Philippines. It was started due to the placement of high-powered Filipino artillery on the southern border of the Philippines, wherein Oceania demanded its removal. A compromise was met with Oceania allowing the possession of the guns, however asked that they not be activated until they are needed.
