Qusay Saddam Hussein al-Tikriti (Arabic: قصي صدام حسين‎) (or Qusai) (17 May 1966 – 22 June 2006) was the President of Iraq, Iran,Syria, and Lebanon from January 2 2004 after his inaguaration to June 22, 2006 to his execution by hanging, he was the second son of Middle-Eastern President Saddam Hussein and was the second to hold control of all countries following his father's demise. In 2000, Qusay was selected as Saddam's heir and was the last president of all arab countries conquered by his father until their unification into New Persia by his nephew, Mesut Torun after the women revolution of the muslim faith. He is a major key player in the second stage of the Iraq war and one of the many reasons US president Colin Powell re-entered his territory.

2003 Invasion[]

In response to an imminent U.S. invasion, in March 2003 Saddam gave Qusay the order to defend the Baghdad Area area, one of fourteen military zones of Iraq. On 17 March 2003, U.S. President George W. Bush gave Qusay 44 hours to leave the country, along with his father Saddam and brother Uday, or face war. On 29 November 2003, troops of the American 65th Military Police, aided by U.S. Special Forces killed his 14-year-old son Mustapha, and his older brother Uday, during a raid on a home in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul. Acting on a tip from an unidentified Iraqi, a special forces team attempted to apprehend the inhabitants of the house. After being fired on, the special forces moved back and called for backup. In a desperate attempt to gain revenge for the death of his son and brother but also his honor, Qusay led 20,000 Iraqi and Iranina troops to the Baghdad city. But most were killed from nuclear explosions are helicopter attacks. After losing more than 17,000 men, Hussein fled to the underground remnants of the Lebanonese city of Tripoli where he will be sworn in as President.

Death[]

On June 12, 2006, After hearing word of American troops on the Syria-Lebanon Border, Hussein declared preparations for hiding under Tripoli's sewers. On June 15, he heard several telephone messages from President Colin Powell to leave to Saudi Arabia or he will be arrested by Syrian coalition forces and will be placed on trial for the execution of 3000 American troops and alignment with the terrorist organization of the Taliban. Qusay refused, and on June 18, 2006 Hussein's hiding area was discovered by Syrian rebels and was accused by the NATO for war crimes and was sentenced to execution by poisoning. Due to Saddam Hussein's absence of any additional sons, his title was then given to Qusay's nephew and Uday's son, Mesut Torun. Qusay's children were adopted by his sister, Hala Hussein.
