The Studium Generale Divionensis (University of Dijon) is inaugurated.
Hanthawaddy begins constructing roads to lace the new empire. Representatives from twelve countries arrive in Lisboa to join Nai Thiha's expedition to circumnavigate the earth. More invitations are sent out to every known country in Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa.
Japanese explorers join Nai Thiha, sending an expeditionary fleet of three ships, and two supply ships. Meanwhile, the bureaucracy has designs on Delhi
The Sociedad Naval de Castilla joins Nai Thiha's expedition, attaching two supply ships and one expeditionary carrack.
Let Me remind you that I conquered Sumatra not once, but twice. Why have you ignored that fact? Plus I have absorbed the rest of the Kra peninsula.
Conquering Sumatra is completely implausible. Historical conquerors would take the coastline if they wanted to trade. But Sumatra is a big island and would take years to conquer. Also a while back I gave like 5 reasons why it is implausible. Take your Riau-Singapore colony but this is ridiculous. Also, Kra is an ithsmus, not a peninsula. It is part of the Malay Peninsula. Maybe this is what you misunderstand.
Vietnam's Northern Expedition makes landfall on OTL Vancouver Island. Another small settlment is founded. The Southern Expedition claims the OTL Philippines and Indonesia for Vietnam. Vietnamese architecture has begun showing signs of European (mostly English) influences, though they are mostly centered around Da Nang.
The Indonesia and Philippines part is effectively just me calling "dibs".
You can't call dibs, it's part of the game. But go ahead and claim. Just don't whine if someone picks out Palawan or something before you do.

Vietnam founds a port on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The port becomes a valuable source of income due to its strategic location in one of the most profitable trade routes of the region.
Nai Thiha and representatives from eleven countries are seen off in Lisboa, Castille. They expect to land near Japan.
Hanthawaddy annexes an enclave of Krungthep and the remnants of the Kingdom of Ayuthaya. It agrees to appoint the King of Ayuthaya to a high government position, in return for the land. However, disagreements arise with Viet Nam over control of the area. The armies clash twice during the Gregorian month of December.
The Ottoman Empire takes some land near the Black Sea.
The Burgundian army attacks the province of Bourbonnais (to the Southwest), in the remainder of France. French troops push Phillip III's army into Burgundian territory, without causing a significant number of deaths. Battles continue.

No word from the circumnavigation expedition under Nai Thiha is heard of.
Discussions between Hanthawaddy and Vietnam create the Kingdom of Singburi, rules by a king who reports to the emperors of Hanthawaddy and Vietnam. Hanthawaddy upgrades is economy in the mean time, and begins forcing Mon culture on newly acquired residents of Krungthep. The Grand Palace is remodeled.
Japan expands its Brandenburg and Seattle ports, and begins its designs on Polynesia

Due to intensive trading of culture from the Eastern world and the mass migration of money from Germany to the Papacy, some areas of Northern Germany , led by Josef P.Schmitt have rejected Catholicism in favor of a syncretic belief based on Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, and Shinto--as well as mushing together some Christian and Jewish beliefs.

Supreme Patriarch of Hanthawaddy declares a vision in which he sees Buddhism going west. He sends missionaries to Buda on the Danube, where they found Klung Ngoa Ce "Coming West" Temple.
Hungary declares war against the Kingdom of Bosnia.
Turns go by UTC.
Joseon, which had been amping up their army, (Sorry I couldn't post for some time), takes steps to wipe out the Japanese pirates who had been terrorizing Joseon for decades. They demand that the Japanese government help them or there will be war, since Japan has actually been helping these pirates for decades.
China declares that they will back Japan up if Joseon declares war on them.
Ummm, why? Japanese pirates have been a thorn to China for decade too.
Both Joseon and Japan have been a pain to the Chinese in OTL. Joseon has been expanding into Chinese territory and has been more aggressive to the Chinese in this map game than Japan has. Also, I see more profit from Japan than I do from Korea.
The Vietnamese Northern Expedition reaches the Aztec Empire. The Vietnamese diplomats aboard the fleet manage to establish a trading relationship, as they are unhampered by any illusions of god-hood. The Vietnamese Empire also begins research on a vessel that can sail th open sea, and not need to hug the coast. They derive inspiration from both the Chinese Treasure Ships and the Galleons of Europe.

There is still no sign from Nai Thiha's expedition. Most believe he fell off the edge of the earth.
Hanthawaddy upgrades its economy. Hanthawaddy makes a full transition into a money economy, with the Awettha backed up by gold. Meanwhile, a medical complex begins construction in Sandoway, accepting all forms of medicinal practice, ranging from Chinese to Western to Mon folk remedies.
The Japanese reach out to Joseon and promise to stop the pirates--as they have been trying to do for quite a while--any news of us supporting them were probably rumors. They also demand Joseon to reciprocate
Joseon's campaign to root out pirates is mostly successful, and war with Japan is averted. However, Japan-Joseon relations remain low.
Burgundy takes over Bourbonnais.
Vietnam echos Hanthawaddy and upgrades its economy. The create a new currency, known as the đồng, which is also backed by gold. Vietnamese citizens have taken to wearing their money on strings, as the coins are struck with a hole in the center. The Vietnamese also build a series of hospitals in their major cities, as well as a major medical school in the capital of Angkor.

Nai Thiha and his men land in Korean Kamchatka. Joyous crowds of hundreds of thousands meet him as he returns to Hanthawaddy.
Hanthawaddy improves its infrastructure, and completes new city walls with sling-cannons. A communications building begins construction in central Pegu. It features a large map of the empire and Mon architectural patterns. Sections of the building are dedicated to different world cultures.
Currency reform outlines a singular currency in Castile, the peseta. The church becomes a central guiding force in Castillan governing policies.
Schmitt's Reformation (see 1452) gains momentum, and threatens the power of the Catholic Church in N. Germany. Curiously, it also gains momentum in OTL South France.
Japan expands the Brandenburg and Seattle ports, now controlling Pomerania, much of East Prussia, and the Seattle area, and begin dispatching troops to Delhi. Meanwhile, talks are storming about economic and currency reform, which will probably conclude next year
An earthquake in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of the Kantō plain causes massive tsunamis which destroys almost all of the Japanese naval fleet on the Pacific Ocean. Japan is disconnected from its external trading posts, and they declare independence due to inability to communicate with Japan. Japan's navy is not expected to reach its former traveling ability for another thirty years.

Castile immediately bans Schmitt's Reformation movement, and declares Roman Catholicism the state religion. Catholic fervor reaches a fever pitch.
Nai Thiha reaches Hanthawaddy, and presents his manuscripts of palm leaves to Emperor Binnya Waru. He tells of lands rich in gold, with friendly inhabitants, and thousands of sq km of workable land. Thiha dies later that year of asthma resulting from inflammation of a chest injury he received from a walrus while exploring Alaska. Hanthawaddy claims the entire American continent, naming it after Thiha, but the lust for trade and exploration of the new continent spreads throughout the world steadily. Hanthawaddy upgrades its maritime technology and sends a few thousand to colonize Hporubitoi, forming a second town which is named after Emperor Binnya Waru.
Japan tries to recover its infrastructure.
The Vietnamese Northern Expedition sets sail for home after trading in the Aztec Empire. A port is established in the San Francisco Bay area as a leg on the trade route from Vietnam to the Aztecs. They give aid to the cut-off Japanese settlers in Seattle. Vietnam offers a generous aid deal to Japan to help them recover from the disaster. They offer to establish a Japanese currency, dubbed the yen, to help expedite Japan's economic recovery. They celebrate their alliances by commissioning a new throne, made of rare Chinese redwood and officially called the Lotus Throne (out of respect for the Japanese Chrysanthemum Throne). Both it and the new Vietnamese Crown Jewels (imported from England), are a fusion of European and Vietnamese styles.
Japan accepts, and also politely asks if any nations could help in communications between Japan and its former (and hopefully, future) colonies
Joseon offers aid to Japan to help rebuild, and try to rebuild a Joseon-Japan alliance.
Japan politely and humbly accepts. They graciously reach out arms to Vietnam and Joseon, promising alliances for both.
Phillip III makes his "Vow of the Pheasant", promising God to defend the Catholic Church and spread its word throughout the world. As result, the Schmitt Movement is forbidden in Burgundy.

Japanese architects and engineers, while surveying the major cities, wish to look at the buildings to find out how to strengthen them. No definitive results are created, but enough weaknesses are found in order to suggest a new design.
Hanthawaddy begins adding Mon quarters to various cities. Mons are given special privileges over Bamars and other ethnic groups. They are distinguished by their dress by wearing exquisite clothing, while the other ethnic groups wear cheaper albeit Mon clothing. They additionally enslave several others, including non-Mon debtors and Shan people. Whites, Africans, and other foreigners have special status, but they must respect Mons on the streets. Hanthawaddy makes other social reforms, such as a new law code based on Hammurabi's code in ancient Babylon combined with Buddhism and traditional Mon law.

In response with Hanthawaddy's recent enthocentric policies, Vietnam ends the special rights established for the Mon inhabitants of Vietnam's former Ayuthaya territories. The Mon governors of the territories are replaced by Vietnamese and Siamese governors. A few schools are established to reeducate Mon children into Vietnamese culture. Those that resist are politely (then not so politely) "encouraged" to leave for Hanthawaddy. The Vietnamese decide to pursue relationships with China, Joseon, and Japan rather than Hanthawaddy. The Vietnamese motivation for this motion was a deep resenting of Hanthawaddy after the Singburri War.
Nothing personal, but I thought that would be Vietnam's reaction to what Hanthawaddy has done.
I don't think it would affect our alliance. Most countries were ethnocentric back then. Even Qing China treated Manchus as "better" in the early 20th century. Basically all European countries were ethnocentric, and that didn't change during the Renaissance. Countries like Persia and the Ottomans were also ethnocentric, I'm pretty sure, correct me if I'm wrong. Japan has an element of ethnocentrism to this day (even Korean-descended people who lived in Japan since they were born are still considered foreigners). You can take away priviliges, but relations shouldn't be affected.
Joseon begins to renew the Japan-Joseon alliance by sending more aid and gifting the Shogun with a new ship, one that just has been created for the Japanese Shogun. A new era of prosperity enters Joseon as the Emperor begins to crack down on more corrupt officals and generals.
Japan graciously thanks Joseon.

Hanthawaddy explores the Caribbean, and lands near the Mayans. They request trade and diplomacy with the Mayans. In addition, they make a map of the area based on Mayan chronicles and exploration.
The Vietnamese, after perfecting their ocean-going ship, decide to reorganize their outposts. Seeing as the "long" route is no longer necessary to get to the Aztec Empire, they decide to get rid of the two outposts to the north. The Vancouver Island outpost is offered to Japan for a pittance, and the Komandorski outpost is offered to Joseon for a similar pittance. The original Vietnamese population of both of the outposts are sent to the outpost on Luzon island to fortify it. This leaves the California outpost virtually independent (at least for now). They survive by fishing, farming and mining. In this they have developed a crude form of self-sufficiency.
Japan accepts the Vancouver Island, paying the pittance. Meanwhile, new architectural designs have been made in response to the Great Quake of 1455
Hungary ask for a alliance with Venice.it also controls, at the moment, most part of the Kingdom of Bosnia.

China explores California's coast.

Hanthawaddy continues to explore the Caribbean. They reach Cuzco later in the year, and establish trade with the Quechuas. They begin constructing a road to make Cuzco accessible from the Caribbean. Binnya Kyan of Bengal is deposed in a military coup after declaring war on the Swahilis, which many believe to be linked to insanity. Having killed off all of the remaining male Bengal Warriors, he is succeeded by queen Shin Shawbu, one of the few queens in Southeast Asian history.
The Vietnamese expand to fill the space in between Vietnam and Hanthawaddy. They also expand the Sumatra territory and the Luzon base. They send a regiment of soldiers to the California outpost, where a fort is built to house them. Its purpose is to safeguard the outpost from meddling foreign powers. They also expand the California outpost somewhat.
Joseon expands into Russia, and the Military is strengthened. Also, a ship that was blown off course discovers the Philippines, and an expedition is planned.
Japan rebuilds its navy in order to re-establish contact with the outside
A tribe of Cherokee or Tsalagi become controlled by a charismatic leader. The priesthood evolve into a form of nobility and their 'king' is revered as a demi-god. He removes the polluting effect of war, and sets about an era of conquest. But for now, his kingdom is tiny and weak.
Wait. 1465 is when you can start. There are still parts of America that haven't been explored…

New rule: for any colony to exist, you have to create an article for your country and add it to External Territories (Principia Moderni).
Vietnam starts outfitting their army with the latest weapons designs to come from their workshops. They also build a line of cohesive border fortifications and forts overlooking every major city in the empire (including one on Çá Island). They also expand their territories in Sumatra, Luzon and California.
Where is Çá Island? Also, I moved the starting date of your California colony back to 1465. Please wait, I'm wanting to stop repeating myself. So I don't have to start reverting.
It's Alcatraz. The name Çá Island is sort of an in-joke. The word Çá is Vietnamese for stone. It's a refrence to Alcatraz's reputation as "The Rock".
That's not Viet as far as I can tell. Maybe you mean đá? But I think the word you are looking for is Thạch.
Hanthawaddy explores the Pacific coast and establish trade at Pachacamac. They adopt the Chasqui system and learn to use quipu. They also adopt the Mon alphabet to the Quechua language. The chasqui system is implemented in Hanthawaddy later that year. Hanthawaddy also requests trade with the Aztecs and the Mayas.
Japan re-establishes contact with its settlers.
Raids on Tibet from hostile tribes have taken their toll and the area is going into civil war. China offers to protect and absorb Tibet. Tibet wants China to clear the hostile tribes out first, then China may annex parts of Tibet.
- Did you just make that up about the hostile tribes?
- Fearful of the Chinese gaining power in the region, Hanthawaddy, Bengal, and Chiutiya pay puppet kings to rule parts of southern Tibet as far east as western Nepal. However, they hold little power during the year.

The town around which the Tsalagi tribesmen have become dominated by King Ehkasgahi I begin a reign of terror around the countryside, subjugating other small tribes to their will. By the end of the year, the country is the size of Lincolnshire in Britain. The borders remain fluid, but a good section of the priesthood have pledged their allegiance to Ehkasgahi, and the warrior groups revel in the new power they now enjoy. Slaves are brought to the capital where they are set to work in the fields.
Joseon invades the Philippines.

I'm not going to repeat myself. No colonies until 1465. Anyone who attempts to make a colony before that will get an immediate five year penalty. Small constructions like docks and buildings are okay, but anything that "expands" becomes a colony.

Hanthawaddy creates the states of Drakchi and Tingri as vassal states in southern Tibet, claiming OTL Nyingchi, Shannan, Lhasa, and part of Xigaze prefectures, although the entire area is not controlled. New government buildings are built. Chutiya and Bengal assist in the creation. The goal of the states is to protect Tibet from Chinese takeover.
Joseon invades the rest of the Philippines, and sets up posts in California. Manchuria also expands more into Russia, and more outposts are built in Kamchatka.

Yes, but this is architectural support rather than skyscrapers. Steel wasn't mass-produced until the 19th Century. Meanwhile, Japan is on a fault line which has recently shifted. I think this is sufficiently plausible.

Vietnam defeats Joseon in the Philippines. To solidify their claim on the islands, they build settlements on the major islands of the archipelago. They begin to cultivate alliances with China and Japan to keep Joseon in check.
What do you mean? You never owned the Philippines.

Joseon never owned the Philippines because it already had its colony. Vietnam was allowed a small settlement. There are no California outposts Read the external territories page… If I changed a date to a future date, then it means wait.
I'm going to slowly expand my territory in the Philippines until 1465, which will officially become a colony at that point. I'm also thinking about doing something with the Incan Empire about the year 1471.
No… The Philippines has always been a colony. Which means 0px until 1465. Did I nof say that anything that "expands" is a colony and thus not allowed? Don't conquer the Incans… You already expanded enough… You could technically have a colony at Pachacamac or something but that would be implausible. Why would you have a colony there? It's desert wasteland.

Hanthawaddy's Tibetan vassal states begin gaining ground. Tingri and Drakchi begin gaining territory. Hanthawaddy appoints Mon rulers to the area, although they are affected by the altitude. The vassal state of Drakchi secures the source of the Irrawaddy River. In Bengal, a new Buddhist temple begins construction.
Japan sends traders west to re-establish trade. Upon reaching the Kalmar Union, the traders are in shock at the disarray it has fallen into. A fierce debate over foreign policy rages in Japan on how to deal with them.
King Ehkasgahi creates vassal kings subordinated to his rule. This increases stability in the nation even as they continue to expand. On the extremities of the realm, 'marcher lords' are created. These are military men who are vassals but have the right to extend their domain as far as they can maintain it in the name of their king. A thriving slave market begins in the capital and all major towns have a slave market.
Joseon launches more campaigns into Manchuria, and sends exploration missions into Siberia.
China continues to clear out raiders against Tibet. They warn Tibet not to listen to Hanthawaddy, as they actively work against China and China's protection of Tibet.
The Vietnamese found a national bank to regulate the supply of currency to the Vietnamese people. They also build a series of banks in the cities of the Empire. They also conquer the Sultanate of Aech in Sumatra.

Hanthawaddy's vassals of Tingri and Drakchi continue minor expansion. Hanthawaddy explores and finds the sources of the Mekong, Salween, and Chang rivers. Meanwhile, Hanthawaddy sets up storage houses on Jamaica. They intend to use it as a rest stop for Mon explorers in America. Meanwhile, Buddhoism begins to return as Bengal's main religion by Mon efforts.
China continues to clear out raiders from Tibet.
After watching Vo Thuat practitioners practicing their art, the Vietnamese Emperor is inspired to use their martial arts in warfare. They build an academy where they study methods of merging martial arts and firearms use. So far the most promising method is using meditation techniques to make every shot lethal (no matter the circumstances). Vo Thuat masters study under experts of Chinese Wushu, Japanese Bujutsu, and Hanthawaddy Banshay. They begin development of new firearms more suited to being loaded and fired quickly. They also embark on a campaign of massive industrial expansion.

After the fierce debate over what to do with the disorder in the West, Japan opts to be more open and active in the affairs of the West
The Mayans re-open their boundaries as most scientific developments have already been ended. Gunpowder was discovered, although not used and considered obsolete as it easily gets wet in the Mayan rainforests. It also agrees to Hanthawaddy's two-year old proposal.

Hanthawaddy's vassals In Tibet continue to expand. Meanwhile, Islam begins to fall in Bengal due to efforts by Hanthawaddy to impose Buddhism.
The Ottomans begin to take unclaimed land in Arabia.
Japan builds more ships.
Ehkasgahi stops the expansion of his empire and sets about consolidating what he has got. Slaves captured during the wars are put to use on farms around the capital and other towns. The tiny vassals established in previous years are consolidated into two larger vassals, ruled by the Ehkasgahi's best generals. They still have the rights of the Marcher Lords. He then retreats to his dwelling in the capital. The priesthood enforce the worship of the God-King. The Tsalagi Kingdom is officially established.
Hungary completes its conquest of the Kingdom of Bosnia.It also starts to build a port in the city of Zeng.
Joseon build up their navy, and requires that all their marines/soldiers take 태권도 (Tae Kwon Do) to join. They also double the pay of everyone in the military, saying that "Those who honor us, we shall honor them". They also set up soldier as an official "job", instead of something common farmers went into every time where was a war.
- Tae Kwon Do didn't exist until 1955.

China clears out more raiders from Tibet. Parts of Tibet are given to China, as promised.
After a Vietnamese scientist postulates that disease is created by invisible organisms (a forerunner of today's germ theory) the Vietnamese build large Sentō-style bath houses, and decree that all Vietnamese citiznes must use one regularly.

Hanthawaddy adopts a national flag which features a white Hamsa on a red background. Tingri and Drakchi reach their maximum extent, while Hanthawaddy upgrades its port facilities at Chittagong and Pegu.
The ecoomy of the Mamulk Sultanate continues to rise thanks to foreign trade from Europe to Asia along with the help of the canal in Sini and trading outposts in the Caribbean all of which allow for trade almost everywhere. With all going well, a large concentration of explorers are sent to explore the surrounding areas near there outposts, as this begins one of the groups find some natives in OTL Yucatan. At first communication is unreadable, fortunately a way to communicate is made and the explorers return to an trading outpost in Cuba where they tell the local sultan of this discovery.
Vietnam adopts a simple yellow banner with three red stripes running horizontally through the middle. The Kingdom of Singburri adopts a red banner with three horizontal yellow stripes and a white Hamsa in the left upper corner. Vietnamese traders build a trading post in England mirroring Da Nang/"Little London". They purchase a portion of Corsica to build a trading outpost, as it is in "neutral" territory.
Hungary invades the Republic of Ragusa. It also asks for a alliance with the Ottoman Empire.
The son of Zheng He explores the Pacific Ocean. He discovers the Incans. Meanwhile, a trading post is set up in southern Baja. Also, the raiders fully clear out of Tibet. As Tibet joins, the Chinese warn of more raiders. A politician says, "The tribes may be eliminated, but beware of further bandits on the horizon." Furthermore, they critisize the Hanthawaddy for taking advantage of Tibet.
Despite having trade routes in Eastern Europe above the Ottomans, China also tells the Mamluks and Ottomans to open trade for Europe or face the wrath of the nation that destroyed the Golden Horde. Ironically, the General who led Chinese forces against Mongolia suffers a stroke and dies. His son, who has already proven himself against the fiercest raider tribe in Eastern Asia, takes his father's place.
Japan adopts a national flag of the sun rising along the ocean. Turmoil, however, stirs between them and the Kalmar Union, which does not take responsibility for the actions committed against Japanese traders.
Buddhism starts spreading in Mayan territory from Oriental diplomats. It also adopts a new flag: A flag divided in four triangles, each representing a part of the universe according to Mayan religions.
Joseon sends exploration parties out in the Pacific, and discover Hawaii. It was by literal blind luck, because the captain went blind halfway, and after all the confusion following it, the course was set to Hawaii.

Colonization time. Feel free to have your first two colonies at any time. But your third colony has to be fifty years after your first, your fourth fifty years after your second, your fifth fifty years after your third, etc. Feel free to combine settlements. Like if you colonize OTL New York and OTL Boston, you can make it one colony. But if you take Newfoundland and Cuba, don't expect to get away with combining them into "French West Indies" or whatever. All colonies begin at 0px and check the rules to see how you can expand. Any violation will result in reversion and later violations result in natural disasters. Also, if you make a new colony, it takes up your whole turn. Example:

Hanthawaddy sends a settlement party to OTL Kingston, calling it Mon Jamaica (Camaika Mon).
Joseon sends a settlement party to Hawaii, and name it 미지, Mee-Ji, for Beautiful Land in Korean.

- Actually I consider it an understatement. Chinese words are built in "syllable blocks." So you have Zheng+a. 鄭a. A doesn't really have meaning except for the end of a sentence (I went to the store ah). So it's like saying Zheng ah. A more plausible name would be 鄭洲 maybe. Zhengzhou. Even though that sounds like a Chinese city. Actually now that I think of it, Chinese never name things after people. Sorry for getting so pushy, you just have to deal with it because I'm Chinese :P

Japan sends a settlement party to Seattle, naming it 新しい植民地 "New Colony".
Tsalagi continues to expand slightly, as the sedentary lifestyle of the towns begins to increase the population. The lords increase in power in the absence of Ehkasgahi, but are kept in check by loyalty to their God-king. Disease caused by proximity to animals, diabetes and the filth of unplanned townships cause a surge in deaths. These are put down to the failing health of the king. The High Priests become the real power behind the throne. They stop expansion, and encourage the construction of temples to Ehkasgahi.
Buddhism continues to rise throughout the Mayab.

Hanthawaddy continues sending supplies to Mon Jamaica. Infrastructure is improved in upper Burma, and roads to Tibet are created.
Joseon continues sending supplies and people to 미지. People back in Joseon considered it a paradise, and only the wealthy could afford to go there. Meanwhile, Joseon also begins to explore the Philippines, as well as the Seattle region.
Japan sends more people and supplies to 新しい植民地

Buddhism becomes the second largest religious group in the Mayab with 35% of the population following it. A coup d'etat deposes the current king and establishes a Buddhist one in the throne of the Mayab. The first thing he does is to try and settle relationships with Hanthawaddy.
Finally receiving authorization, the local trading ports in the Caribbean quickly expand to nearby islands, but the mainland is only explored at the moment due to funding problems.

King Ehkasgahi withdraws entirely from public life, leaving power in the hands of the priesthood and the nobility. Instead he devotes his attention to his harem. A regency of powerful nobles and High Priests establish a feudal method of running the country. The King or his/her regent will defer regional power to a Lord who will in return provide taxes and an army to the King. These Lords will defer power to local warriors or chiefs who will be responsible for enforcing law and raising the Lord's army. These chiefs will in turn defer power to a lord who operates at a village level. Their responsibility is to ensure that agriculture takes place by enforcing a new system of villager control. There will be free villagers with their own land who will give a small portion of their crop to be passed up as taxes, and there will be serfs/slaves (usually rebels/dissidents/heretics) who will farm the lord's land in return for a house and a small portion of food to keep them alive. The priests will work to maintain morale amongst the common population as well as carry out scientific research. The flowing and unstable social system of Tsalagi's early years becomes a stiff, rigid system of feudalism and nobility. The daughter of Ehkasgahi, Umpasahi, begins her tuition as the heir to the throne. All expansion ceases.
The Ottoman Empire invades Cyprus.
The Vietnamese expand their colony on Luzon. A fleet is built for the express purpose of shipping settlers and supplies to the colony. They also absorb more of Sumatra.

Hanthawaddy continues building roads in upper Burma and Tibet. Meanwhile, Binnya Waru orders an expansion of Mon Jamaica. Shin Shawbu of Bengal begins taxing non-Buddhists.
The Mayan ruler begins to persecute non-Buddhists throughout the Mayab. Taxes are incremented throughout the nation for non-Buddhist, and several forced conversions are made. By the end of the year, 45% of the population is nominally Buddhist.

The Vietnamese colony fleet makes its first voyage. It both expands the current settlement and founds new settlements on the northwest coast of Luzon. The Vietnamese also absorb the last portion of Sumatra. They plan on expanding to the other islands in the archipelago.
China's North American colony expands. Meanwhile, China again tries negotiations with the Ottomans to open trade to China for Europe.
Christianity arrives in Joseon much earlier, due to contact made much earlier. Christianity begins to spread literally like weed, and by the end of the year, at least 20% of the population has converted. However, Buddhist leaders, feeling threatened by them, begins to try to convince the Emperor to evict all Westerners and go into isolation, (Hermit Kingdom) again. However, the Emperor ignores those words and dismisses them as “old superstitions”.
Death rates continue to rise amongst the Tsalagi, and the ruling classes become concerned about talk of a plague. There is no single plague but a multitude of factors, such as unsanitary conditions, prolonged contact with animals leading to widespread disease, malnutrition, and diabetes. On the plus side, the taxes in the form of food roll in to the royal coffers where they are used as payment to raise funds to pay for better buildings in Equagaduh, rather than the filthy mud-huts currently in place.
Japan reinstates contact with Tenjikuminato, and plans are made to colonize new areas and topple regimes.

Hanthawaddy expands its Hporubitoi colony slightly due to an influx of settlers. At the same time, Hanthawaddy once again enters an era of peace.
Japan sends troops to Tenjikuminato in an attempt to conquer the surrounding area. At this rate, they believe that their troops, carrying the latest arquebi, can reach Delhi, the seat of power of the declining Sultanate, in a decade.The North American port is renamed Nuretachihou.
Joseon sends more colonists to Hawaii, as that in the mainland, Hawaii was known as a paradise. With random selection, 100 new families are to be sent to Hawaii over the next year. They bulk up their navy, and they now have the 2nd strongest navy in the region, after China, and have the most technologically advanced one. However, their army is still weak and corrupt, and effort is put into turning their army into a better one. Meanwhile, they begin to introduce an official currency, the Imperial Won.
The barter system of taxation begins to become cumbersome in the administration of Tsalagi. As a small mine opens up, at the behest of a group of the military, talk of a currency begins to stir.
The Vietnamese colony fleet makes its second voyage. However it colonizes a wider area, as it also sets up settlements in Visayas, Mindanao and Borneo as well as Luzon. They begin to construct infrastructure in the colonies to facilitate further growth.
The persecutions continue throughout the Mayab. However, persecutions start reducing in power as more religions, like Hinduism, Islam and Christianity, start taking off in the Mayab. By the end of the year, although about 50% of the population is Buddhist, approximately 15% was of each new religion. Only 5% remained members of the ancient Mayan religions, the lowest number the Mayab would get.

A Muslim uprising in Bengal temporarily halts all national activities in Hanthawaddy. They are opposed to taxes used to convert Muslims, as well as forced conversion of prisoners. Queen Shin Shawbu of Bengal and Emperor Binnya Waru meet to discuss possible transfer of troops in Upper Burma to Bengal.
Hungary starts to build ships at the port of Ragusa.
The Vietnamese send their colony fleet on its third voyage. They expand each colony equally.
Joseon begins to explore the region of the Philippines, and plans for a colony there next year.

Hanthawaddy continues to fight off Bengali Muslim protests, responding violently. Riots begin to calm down as Muslims are transported to Tibet where they are put into forced labour. Hundreds die of altitude-related exhaustion.
Nuretachihou and Tenjikuminato are expanded slightly - Nuretachihou contains the general Puget Sound area, Tenjikuminato now shows up, if barely, on maps
As farming and a currency are more closely developed, death rates begin to lower in Tsalagi. The capital begins a massive redevelopment program, sweeping away the bloated overcrowded sewage choked slum areas, and replacing them with effective housing. This is a result of a greater knowledge and use of metal tools.
The Ottoman Empire launches a massive campaign into Afghanistan and Pakistan. Some 90,000 soldiers are sent to conquer these territorries. The Empire wants to do this to have a base to use as a springboard into India.
Vietnam sends its colony fleet on its fourth voyage. The Vietnamese, having finished conquering Sumatra, start expanding into Java.

Hanthawaddy manages to suppress the remaining Muslim insurgents in Bengal. The road system that stretches from Tibet to Krungthep is completed.
Ehkasgahi dies of a fit during a particularly debauched 'party'. His daughter is crowned Queen Umpasahi I. She appoints a series of able ministers to help reforge the country. Whispers from the neighbouring tribes talk of strange men from across the seas. Ehkasgahi is deified, a great God-King who watches over his people from the heavens. The reconstruction of Equagaduh continues apace, with the finely masoned slave market opened to the public this year. Of course, outside of the capital, social and economic problems still exist. Landlords dominate and abuse the peasantry, disease and squalor is rife, tribal conflict continues to break out, and social dislocation is a daily problem. Fortunately, the Ehkasgahian Religion is a unifying factor, as is the attempts by the new queen to enforce law and reinvigorate the towns of Tsalagi.
Tenjikuminato expands largely as local warlords give in to Japan's military might. The Delhi Sultanate is next, and shall be reached (not conquered--Delhi shall be reached) by 1474, by recent estimates

Japanese troops make a sudden retreat to Tenjikuminato, settling there with houses built in the Japanese style and with women (some from Japan, others kidnapped) - but they remain to preserve the balance of power in India until an opportunity arises. Meanwhile, a shipment of settlers reaches Vancouver Island.
Hanthawaddy expands its Jamaica Mon colony with new imports of settlers. Upriver trading ports in Burma are expanded to incorporate artificial lagoons created with large amounts of labor from Muslim rebels in Bengal.
Movements similar to the Schmitt Reformation spring up in Europe.
The birth rate and death rate stabilise as families have more children to counterbalance deaths caused by disease and famine. Reconstruction of Equahgahadu continues, with streets being built after the major infrastructure like temples and markets.

Emperor Binnya Waru of Hanthawaddy dies abruptly, without having chosen a successor. Due to him having killed off all of his male relatives, various nobles from throughout the country scramble for power. However, the one who came out on top by the end of the year was an Ahom ruler from the north, who was known as King Supimphaa of Ahom, and took the title of Emperor Supimphaa of Hanthawaddy. He managed to take control of the royal courts of Hanthawaddy, and cut relations with Bengal, which was still under Mon rule under Queen Shin Shawbu. The expedition party from Australia returns, bringing tales of rich soil for farming. This piques the new regime's interest, and he sends a colonization party.
Joseon begins to explore Oceania, starting with Indonesia.
Mayan ships trying to establish relationships with other nations away from America stumble upon Java, where a small colony is established.
Japan updates its universities and adds funding to the hard sciences.
Queen Umpahasi sends explorers west, east, north and south to find the truth behind the tales of other civilisations. At the same time, towns within Tsalagi also begin reconstruction along the capital's lines.
The Malmulks continue to expand in the Caribbean while also setting up a small colony in OTL Norfolk, Virginia.
The Vietnamese make contact with the Maya via their Java colony. They offer to sell their colony for a pitance. They expand their colonies in the Philippines, Borneo and Tanzania.

Hanthawaddy establishes a small port in OTL Botany Bay, Sydney, naming it Kati Mon after the local name for the area plus the demonym Mon. Hanthawaddy expands its army slightly.
Japanese settlers are sent to OTL North Germany, creating a small port there.

China demands that the Ottomans open Chinese/European trade routes or there will be war!
The Ottoman Empire opens their Trade Routs on the Silk Road, but issues a tax on all Chinese and European travellers. The Empire also invades Crete. Walls and Forts are built along the empire's boundaries, especially on their Eastern fronts due to the aggression of the Chinese.
The Vietnamese expand each of their colonies. The Philippine colony is 6336 sq km, the Borneo colony is 4608 sq km and the Tanzania colony is 1728 sq km.

Japan declares that if there is to be war between the Ottomans and Chinese, Japan will support China so long as they help Japan prosper and expand Tenjikuminato in the future, promising its safety under Japanese hands. If the Ottomans promise this instead, Japan will help them. Meanwhile, Japan names its North German port Doitsuchihou, and expands Tenjikuminato to 5px.
- Hmm that gives me an idea. Instead of putting 5px, put 5*576 sq km. Each pixel is roughly 576 sq km (roughly 24x24 km). That way it looks less artificial. Thanks LOL.
Hanthawaddy does not take sides in the conflict, but leans towards the Ottomans. The Katimon colony is expanded to 1*576 sq km, while Jamaica Mon is expanded by 1*576 sq km. The Ahoms begin to find interest in Mon culture and adapt some parts of it into Ahom culture. A Mon institution is constructed in former Ahom Kingdom. Emperor Supimphaa lifts some of the ethnocentric policies favouring Mon people, but keeps the non-Buddhist tax. The Ahoms begin attacking and raiding Chutiya, a longtime enemy of the Ahoms allied to Wareru Hanthawaddy.
Hungary conquers a great part of Venetian Albania. However, the Venetians capture Ragusa.
Disease from Tsalagi, though stabilised by a high birth rate, spreads into the less prolific surrounding tribes. Meanwhile, explorers sent north return telling them of the Haudenosaunee, people who speak a language not so different from their own. Explorers also return from the east telling them of the riches of the ocean and the prosperous tribes who live there. The more bellicose elements of Tsalagan society pressure for war, but Umpahasi's policies of engendering culture and advancing architecture and agriculture are not yet complete and she holds back calls for war.
Joseon support the Ottomans, and also expands into Manchuria. They also expand their Hawaii colony by 1*576 sq km, and their Philippines colony by the same amount.
The Vietnamese expand their colonies. They build forts to defend the colonies. The Vietnamese offer to purchase the Joseon colony in the Philippines for quite a hefty sum.
China thanks the Ottomans for opening up trade. The Chinese assure that they will not strike without provocation. Nevertheless, China promises to help the Japanese. Meanwhile, the North American Colony expands.

Hanthawaddy finished capturing the kingdom Chutiya using the Ahom's new army. It begins to go to war with Bengal, due to Chutiya's connections to the Warerus. Hporubitoi is expanded by 1*576 sq km.
Under the leadership of James McNary so called last heir of Robert the Bruce begins the 3rd War of Scottish Independence smashing the 2,000 English Garrison at Aryshire. He is crowned King on November 10th.
The Mayans offer trade with Hanthawaddy. Both Mayan colonies also expand.
Hungary counterattacks, regaining Ragusa and conquering other cities of Dalmatia.
The powerful 'Marcher Lords', influential aristocratic warlords, look at the weakening of eastern tribes and the stories of wealth in the sea as an opportunity, but Queen Umpahasi flatly denies them the right of conquest. The preisthood support her decision. The explorers sent south reach Aztec territory.
Doitsuchihou (Japanese colony in N. Germany) is expanded to 2*576 sq km.

England is in the midst of Civil War and is unable to reconquer Scotland. King of Scotland, James I, takes advantage of the situation and allies with the house of Lancaster against the house of York besieging the city of York. It falls in October. He also sends envoy to Wales to create rebellon,
England's controlled by another player, who's inactive, meaning opposition will be stronger than expected. Keep that in mind.
Tenjikuminato is expanded by 2*576 sq km
Hanthawaddy continues its destructive war with Bengals. With the death of Queen Shin Sawbu of Bengal, Dhammazedi takes here place as king. Hanthawaddy loses control of its colonies, and they are seized by Dhammazedi, with the exception of Hporubitoi.
Hungary conquers the rest of Dalmatia.
China sends supplies and troops to its North American colony. The colony grows quickly.
The Ottoman Empire continues to build fortifications along their borders, and sends troops to re-inforce the castles along the border. Meanwhile, a project is launched to build an extremely powerful navy.
In Africa, the Zande People began to unite. The new Zande Empire, is small consisting of a few hundred warriors and around 7,000 people, but their will to create an empire is strong.
