Overview[]

World War Three was the largest war in human history in terms of firepower and general planning and fighting as both sides had to change rapidly to ever changing conditions, While the Second World War was the largest in terms of casualties, the Third World War cost (approx) 37 million fatalities. In a state of "total war," the major participants placed their entire economic, industrial and scientific capabilities at the service of the war effort, erasing the distinction between civilian and military resources. Marked by significant events involving the mass death of civilians. It was fought between the Communist Bloc, led by the USSR, West China, the Middle East Communist bloc and Eastern Europe countries, against the Allies, led by the US and NATO nations before other countries joined due to various reasons. It started because of several minor incidents, giving the Communists a reason to start the War. In a state of "total war," the major participants placed their entire economic, industrial and scientific capabilities at the service of the war effort, erasing the distinction between civilian and military resources. Marked by significant events involving the mass death of civilians the war lasted over seven years and ended in an Allies victory and the collapse of many governments in the Communist bloc because of revolutions, economic collapse and western demands as the victors of the War. It changed the globe political map with the US became as a result as the world's sole superpower, the Soviets dissolve into several countries, The majority of the Middle East was unhappy with the fact that NATO ultimately won and secretly started the funding Al Qaeda, the organisation causing 1999 bombing in North America, and a massive increase in Green energy production as NATO moved to the only way it could produce energy without oil as it was denied to them, except Iran.

Background[]

In the aftermath of World War II, the United States and the Soviet Union emerged as the two major superpowers of the world. The United States formed an alliance with Western Europe, which eventually materialized into NATO, while the Soviet Union formed the Warsaw Pact in Eastern Europe and erected the Iron Curtain, the major political division between the West and the East, creating major tensions between the two powers. Determined to keep either side from superseding each other's authority, the two superpowers created major alliances with other nations and engaged in a massive arms race. From 1945 to 1991, the world engaged in a long and deadly period of political tension known as the Cold War, with the world  anxiously wondering if they would one day be plunged into another World War. With the Afghan war causing the USSR spent the entire 1980's recovering and introducing several markets reforms. The 1974 terrorist attack caused the Soviets to officially invade and finally  annex Afghanistan after nine years of brutal war, due to the main organizer Osama bin Laden hid in Afghanistan and the Afghan authorities refuse to hand him over. In 1991 two incident that accord nearby caused entire Europe  to mobilize and the war to start. First huge amounts East Germans tried to demolish the wall as East Germans yelled "Wir wollen raus!" their numbers overwhelmed the soldiers stationed there and tried to reach West Germany. They succeed in making few holes in the wall. A few West Germans who were nearby started digging from their side to help their brothers. After the soldiers informed their officers they can't hold that numbers of civilians even with live weapons firing, some general decided to bomb the wall, killing many civilians, including West Germans. This caused high tension between NATO and the Warsaw Pact. The second incident that lit the fuse was a Soviet spy plane discovering US nuclear weapons in Turkey, which had been forbidden since the Cuban missile crisis. This causes the Warsaw Pact to attack NATO in West Germany starting a third world war with conventional weapons.

First Battle

The Soviet war on Europe began with the invasion of West Germany in 1991. Initial preparation for the assault was a sneak attack on anti-aircraft defenses. When the sneak attack succeeded, the Soviets launched their massive assault on the Allied Powers, occupying West Berlin. the Soviets were able to defeat most of the NATO forces there. The Soviet forces smashed through the Berlin Wall and overwhelmed the defenders. The attack was swift and deadly, and within the day, they had seized the entire West Berlin. As the red banner was raised over Berlin, the Soviets continued their momentum with a concentrated attack on West Germany. Within days they launched another assault, and West Germany fell into Soviet hands, forcing NATO to retreat from the German front. In order to cover the expenses of war they send an invasion forces to Iran from the recent SSR state Afghanistan.

European Theater (1991-1997)

After the successful occupation of West Germany, the Soviets proceeded to invade the rest of Europe. The Soviets attacked with full-force, allocating most of their Category-A Class Armored Divisions into the battle. The Soviet advance continues unchecked until they've reached the French-German border in Central Europe, where they met with a massive American re-inforcement who intervened while the war in Europe was ongoing and finally managed to make the Soviets to stand still in the border. To the north, the Soviets conquered Sweden very early despite being neutral and began battling Norway in order to send an invasion force to Britain from there. To compensate for the price war they invaded Iran. The Soviet finally managed to take entire Norway by June 1991 and started sending bombing missions to Britain. British pilots managed to win the second Battle of Britain and the Soviets focused on the German-French border instead. Meanwhile, the Soviet Navy stormed into the Baltic Sea, engaging the British Royal Navy as it attempted to re-inforce their allies. While it remains on the defensive, Great Britain has held its ground after a furious Soviet attack using ships instead the air (although their sea blockade in the Mediterranean Sea was later crushed by the Soviets). By late 1992, the war then turned into a stalemate as the Soviet's superior firepower which gave them the upper hand in the start was eventually rendered moot by Allied maneuverability. Neither side could land a sufficient blow similar to WWI. In order to turn the tide the USSR financed two plans: they secretly gave money to several states who were on the verge of joining the Warsaw Pact - Syria, Egypt, Cuba, and Guatemala in order to invade very pro-western countries and make the west to spend more resources in helping them. The KGB wasted almost the entire Cold War in order to make these countries under the influence of the USSR. In early 1993 Syria and Egypt invaded Israel and Cuba and Guatemala invaded Mexico and from there they hoped of starting another front in the War against NATO, thus causing both the Middle Eastern Theater and the American Theater with an offense and occupation attempted on Great Britain, called Operation Hollow Eagle.

In March 1993 Soviet forces finally managed to secure air superiority on British air and invade UK. They managed to secure a

beachhead and advance, and partially secure London. After a bloody fight, much bloodier than the battle of Stalingrad they turn back as British civilians and NATO caused them massive casualties. By mid 1994 with both sides were unable to make an effective offense as both sides had learned from each other technical machines and strategy. The Allies found itself with a shortage of oil reserves which threatens the War effort, while the Warsaw Pact supplied its crude oil to the Communists, using the massive oil reserves in the USSR, Iran oil fields which they conquered and captured north Norway. Renewable green energy projects were given priority by The Allies scientists and the helium 3 which was extracted from the American Moon base. The Green revolution - which already started a few years before the War - was given a massive boom as the war burn a large amount of oil reserves. Both sides started to develop new weapons in hopes of breaching through.

However, this was a slow transition that gave the Soviets some time to breathe for now as they launched another assault on the French border and managed to advance into France. Allied forces were completely focused in the Soviet forces in the UK, so they were unprepared for the advance into France, the Syrian- Egyptian invasion, and the attack on Mexico.

After two months of bloody close quarters fighting, NATO started using its full potential in green energy. After a gap in the Soviet lines was detected, they had to fall back to Germany as NATO started reclaiming lost grounds.

After a while, Soviet forces in Germany found themselves unable to fight back effectively due to new weapons coming to NATO and increased morale amongst their troops. They had moved farther back, something that a few officers refused and died fighting. With the liberation of West and East Germany, NATO planned an invasion of their own into the Soviet Union. By now Soviet forces were under their own peak oil and Mexico fought by the side of NATO as their agreement. Allied forces invaded the USSR with blitzkrieg strategy. They pushed deeper and deeper because of their green energy and new weapons technology. By January 27, 1997 they arrived into Moscow.

The battle of Moscow was undoubtedly the bloodiest single fight in the War, the battle lasted for a week and two days (ending by February 5th). On February 7th the USSR surrendered and the Third World War was over.

Middle Eastern Theater (1991-1995)

The Soviet Union has been trying to gain access to oil supplies in the Middle East ever since the War started and invaded Iran because of its oil. The USSR also funded the Syrian and Egyptian invasion of Israel, a major ally of the US ever since the third Israeli war. They hoped to successfully reclaim lost territory ever since then. Egyptian forces land in Sinai and Syrian forces started attacking IDF forces in the Golan Heights. After a month and a half of Israel's forces slowly moving back and a US base being destroyed in the Golan the IDF started a massive offensive called Operation the Big Push in the Golan. The operation was a success, causing the IDF to nearly reach their pre-war borders and started conquering lost territories in Sinai. The Syrians and Egyptians fought with every soldier they had, causing the war to drag on until something nobody expected happened.

Slowly but surely the Soviets move funds to the European Theater from The Middle Eastern Theater. This caused the Syrians and Egyptians to end the war, no matter the cost.

By early 1995 Treaty of Jerusalm is signed, ending the war in the Middle East.

North American Theater (1993-1996)

As Cuba and Guatemala attacked Mexico from the east with Soviet-produced weapons in hopes of reaching America, it was no wonder that Mexico asked NATO help. In return to help the War in

Europe, once its own border is secured, the West sent medical and military help in addition to several American soldiers who were stationed in America help the Mexican forces against its enemies. The US sent its airplanes and soldiers to help Mexico. The War was hard fought as NATO and Maxican troops fought on each Caribbean island, similar to the Pacific War in World War 2. However, even Cuba and Guatemala were on oil shortage and sought a peace agreement as they realised that NATO would win the War. On 23 March 1996 the war was over, at least in North America.
