A map of the world of the Permian Extinction: Civilization althist. The map is my own creation, although somewhat based on
Christopher Scotese's map of the late Permian period, 255 million years BP, which can be found at www.scotese.com Ronald C. Blakey's maps of the Permian and Triassic periods. It is not a copy of those maps. (Yeah, I know, 251 million BP is in between 260 Ma and 240 Ma, but there's not very much in the way of maps of 251 million BP, so this was reasonably close, given the time period.) Blakeley of Northern Arizona University. I took the opportunity to change the basis when upgrading the map and inserting some new names.|
