The Old Game[]
The original Look Out, Sir! was based in an alternative World War 2, in which Italy had taken the Balkans and North Africa by themselves. This led to Germany's men being stockpiled for Operation: Barbarossa, and quickly defeating the Soviets. The Japanese also won Midway, keeping their fleet intact.
The game began fine but a war in South America resulted in multiple countries from around the world fighting for Brazil. The USA (somehow) kept losing all battles in the Pacific, and had rebellions popping up everywhere. The inactivity of some players and implausibility of others made the game unplayable, and died about a week in.

Moderators have to ability to do plausible, and fair events for any and every country.
Moderators decide what technology countries can research. This depends on the country's current economical state in game, and technological state in game and in our timeline.
You can not switch countries unless yours has been annexed.
The game ends in the current year.
New players can start the year they joined.
A page for your nation is strongly recommended. Be sure to include military strength and population count.
Moderators determine what is plausible and what is not.
Moderators designated as mapmakers are the only ones allowed to edit the map.

A nation historically with one side will stay with that side until they choose to leave by the minimum year of 1943. Leaders cannot leave. Example: Italy can leave the Axis beginning in 1943, but Germany may not. If one side is defeated, the winning side will determine the outcome of the defeated side.
Colonial empires of nations conquered will become apart of the country who conquered the home country. Example: France conquers Netherlands, Dutch colonies become apart of France.
Nations classified as 'major power's' cannot be taken without a vote from the moderator staff whether or not a player can take it. Moderators are an exception to this rule.
You can only build up two of these things at a time: infrastructure, military, economy.

With racism rising in the southern parts of the USA, smaller groups of civil rights groups appear in the northern areas, disgusted by the intolerance towards the African-American ethnic group. Although numerous, they do not achieve much.

Argentina We improve northern and central infrastructure slightly. We hold a urban literacy campaign. In 1914, Argentina's economy was based on agricultural exports, mainly of grain and beef. Sheep and cattle are adored as a commodity and we expand ranches. Grain is also expanded slightly. We say we don't want to get involved in any non-Latin American wars and go neutral about the European rivalry.
Brazil: We ask the Ottomans for a alliance since they have most of the world's oil. We also ask Italy for an alliance since they control most of the trade in the Med sea. Lastly we ask Russia for an alliance. Our nation increases out military and navy. Also we upgrade our ports. Timber and agriculture are our top industries. The border control increases its troops on our southern border, just in case something happens. We look up to the three nations above us, we want their land.
Ottoman Empire Dip: We decline the alliance with Brazil because an alliance with Russia will deeply oppose the Ottoman views.
Ottoman Empire: We decide that we should drill for oil in the coast of the Arabian Sea. The Sultan announces that if we would like to extend our sphere of influence to Northern Africa, we will have to get them to oppose their current occupiers. The Sultan also says that any rebellions on the Arabian Peninsula are unacceptable, and will be punished. We offer a defence pact to the German Empire, as we both have similar interests in economic and diplomatic views.
German Dip: We accept the defence pact.
Brazilian Dip: I was looking for a trade alliance.

United States of America: We begin building ships fro the navy, but the army is not improved much, but new rifles are issued. We declare neutrality in any overseas crisis, and begin building housing for many people in the nation. Jim crow laws continue in the South, and many southern whites feel that blacks are inferior to whites. In the North, however, there is much sympathy for the blacks. Charles Lindbergh is praised as a hero by the US citizens, and debate begins over which new state should be made: Alaska or Puerto Rico. People begin moving east into California and other areas.
Venezuela: The white/pardos social divide is still in place, and little effort is made to improve the poverty and illiteracy of the nation. General and President Juan Vicente Gómez focuses instead on exploiting the country's resources for his friends, family and business partners. We begin to use the widespread telegraphic system in Venezuela to curtail the possibility of caudillo uprisings. Oil exploration projects that began in 1907/08 continue, with small wells popping up in few locations, but no major discoveries are made.
Russia: It is decided to invest more into the Navy, to match those of German and Great Britain.
Austria-Hungary: We work on our infrastructure, especially in Bosnia and Croatia. Multiple Catholic churches are built in Bosnia. The nation invests in the wood industry and fishing industry in the coastal regions, thus working on the economy.
Great Britain: As tensions in Europe rise, we begin to look elsewhere for alliances. The US is offered an NAP, and Brazil, China and Argentina are offered full alliances. We encourage the other Entente nations to do the same (France and Russia). Military and infrastructure are built up, with particular focus on our navy. We call upon the Irish rebels to the negotiation table, should they come, the are granted a final offer of Domain of the Empire. We call France and Russia to the negotiation table about what to do in the event of war with Germany. In a separate meeting, we ask Japan what to do about Germany's Pacific colonies. As tensions run high in Ireland, the Royal army moves in to occupy Belfast and Dublin. Fearing that Britain's attention is too far spread, the King enters talks to help alleviate this issue.
British Raj: As a push for greater self rule continues. The British construct naval bases in Southern India to deal with piracy. The military is improved and trade is increased, allowing for a larger economic development in the coming age. The training of irregulars/recruits begins.
Australia (all colonies on the island): Naval bases are constructed in the north in the event of war with Germany. Infrastructure improves.
New Zealand: Naval bases are constructed on the northern islands in case of war with Germany.
Bhutan and Nepal: Military/economy improve.
South Africa: Construction of new buildings improves the infrastructure. An army of 80,000 are stationed in case of rebellion. Military improves.
North and South Rhodesia: Military and economy improve.
Domain of Canada, Belize and other North American Colonies (Canada is still open if one desires): Away from many of the tensions of Europe and the Pacific, these colonies improve infrastructure and economy, increasing trade across the empire.
Newfoundland: Serving as the gateway for British North American trade, The UK constructs military bases to protect British economic interests. Economy improves, as foreign and domestic trade is common in these ports.
Gold Coast and Sierra Leone: Military/economy improve.
Nigeria; Military and infrastructure improve. Military bases are constructed along the border with German Cameroon.
Kenya and Uganda: Military and infrastructure improve. Military bases are built along the German Colonial border.
Sudan and Somaliland: Military and economy improve.
Hong Kong: Military and economy improve. Naval bases are constructed to protect British Interests.
British Oman, Kuwait, and Qatar: Military and economy improve.
Argentine D: We politely refuse the alliance and stay neutral, but the British are offered 20% cheaper than normal beef if they agree to invest in some new meat processing works in the provinces of Chubut and Santa Fe. We offer an NAP to Brazil, Bolivia, the USA and the British until Europe calms down again.
British Dip: We accept the NAP, but will only accept the beef offer if this is a deal exclusive to Britain.

Siam: The King, perceived as too foreign-influenced and weak, loses control of the government as a party of reactionary army officers seizes control. They order elections, write a constitution, and create a legislature, resulting in the election of the newly formed Social Democratic Party. The king remains as a figurehead. Siam begins to aggressively modernize its economy, constructing industry and transportation routes to increase the country's economic capacity. The country modernizes quickly, following the policies of the post-Meiji Japanese government to become a modern, industrialized economy. As a result, industrial capacity triples. With its new wealth, Siam requests to purchase the rebellious and poor colony of Laos from France. Mods?

Siam: The economy continues to modernize as the country industrializes. Economic reforms include a unified modern currency, banking, commercial and tax laws, stock exchanges, and a communications network. Manufactured goods production increases, including weapons and military goods. Siam begins to produce modern rifles and guns based on foreign models, although they are still inferior in many cases. A modern education system is put in place using the government's new tax resources for all young people, while thousands of students are sent overseas to learn new skills.
Brazil: We start to make our own version of what we think a tank looks like. Venceslau Bras accepts the trade agreement with the Ottomans. We give the Ottomans timber and food and in return they give us oil. Our navy starts to build ships. With an assassination happening in Serbia, we increase our military just in case something happens. Weapons are being mass produced in our factories. We send medical aid and weapons to Austria-Hungary, after what happened to their leader.
Great Britain: Military is built up, along with infrastructure. in light of the recent assassination and fearing a war between the major powers of Europe, call for a meeting in London or, if permitted, Brussels to discuss the issues of a war between major powers. With careful deliberation, the Irish state is granted dominion within the empire. Naval build up remains a chief concern of the empire, though the Navy remains the strongest in the world, rivaled closely by Germany.

Germany: With war near in Europe, we look back on old ideas submitted to the War Ministry to see if there was anything that could be of use in a war. We review the idea for an armored, light, three man vehicle with a revolving turret, submitted by Gunther Burstyn in 1911. We approve it, and start making plans to build it. We continue building new naval ships, wishing to have a fleet equal to or greater than the Royal Navy. We start conscripting more men for the army, as it seems war is imminent.

Beef production goes up due to the new processing plants. Buenos Aires province strategic infrastructure such as armament stores, sewers, food processing plants, railways and telegraph lines are upgraded notably. Low level copper prospecting occurs in San Juan Province. A pilot-less hot air balloon is launched across the coast near La Boca port, wafts over our two brand new Rivadavia class battleships and is blasted out of the skies with naval cannon fire. 12 out of 15 allotted shells expended, but number 12 did hit it. We were concerned that airplanes and hot air balloons might be weaponized by the Europeans and/or the USA in a future conflict. We watch the Mexican civil war with concern. Experts are fascinated by the new image of Pluto.

As payment, we will let British merchant ships use both it and the dock as they please, without customs payment, mooring fees, tariffs and so on. A 20% cheaper than normal leather and sheepskin deal is also offers exclusivity to the British. A non-aggression pact is offered to Uruguay, Bolivia and Brazil. Serbia: We build up our military and begin to build fortifications on the border with Austria-Hungary.
Austria-Hungary: Due to pressure issued by the Croatian province, a reformation of Austria-Hungary is debated. The government is proposed to create a federalized nation, allowing equal rights to all citizens This federal idea is highly supported by the numerous Slavic ethnicities. Due to earlier acts of our neighbours, we raise funds going to the military and improve the infrastructure in regions such as Vojvodina and Bosnia.
Venezuela: The economy continues to improve, with literacy programs ongoing and unemployment falling as the state explores how to use and benefit from the large petroleum deposits of the nation, however companies and foreign investors are still rejected in favour of the president's family and friends. Malaria is the greatest killer in Venezuela, and with living conditions not improving much, we begin to research treatments. Community participation and health education strategies promoting awareness of malaria (as well as increased availability of mosquito nets) also occurs, and we call on other nations with malaria and mosquito problems to help in finding effective treatment and cure methods. The navy is slightly improved as we are disturbed by the ongoing conflicts in Mexico.

More jobs are being created in our factories with the mass production of military stuff being made. We increase education and encourage people to get an education. Equal rights are given to all people of the country.

Germany: We produce a prototype of the so-called 'tank' idea. The tank is a one-ton, four wheel track, rectangular vehicle, with a single rotating turret. The gun is more or less a 20mm cannon. The crew is four: a driver, gunner, loader, and co-driver. It has a top speed of 60 kph, similar to some cars. The armor is thin at 15 mm. It is named the GAT-01. We begin producing more airplanes, balloons and Zeppelins for the Imperial German Flying Corps. We continue to produce naval ships and continue to conscript.
United States: We remain neutral but we are building up our military. We send aid to people recovering from the Lassen Peak eruption in California.
Siam: Institutes conscription, expanding the military and creating a large pool of reservists. Siam begins putting aside a portion of its revenue into an emergency fund to prepare for large expenditure in the future. The army is equipped with modern rifles, machine guns and artillery modeled after foreign weapons. The government also lays down several hundred new transports and dozens of destroyers.

Argentina: We also begin to research malaria treatments. Community participation and health education strategies promoting awareness of malaria and make the increased availability of mosquito nets in the malaria hit northern provinces of Formosa, Jujuy, Misiones and Salta. We have a whale of a time using Southern Right Whales to make industrial grade soap with. Low level copper prospecting occurs in San Juan Province and Chubut Province. A low level oil drilling operation of our own occurs at Comodoro Rivadavia and looks promising. We start building a final ship base on the ARA Almirante Brown (1880) and four whalers of our own. Malargüe town, the home of Argentine garlic has its roads slightly upgraded, as does the town of Comodoro Rivadavia. The army is equipped with modern rifles, machine guns and artillery modeled after foreign weapons. We regret to hear about the tram crash and ferry sinking in the USA.

Siam: Siam continues to expand its military. many of the ships laid down last year are completed, giving Siam lots of short-range transports and some destroyers. Two cruisers are put under construction. The reserves keep training, expanding Siam's pool of prospective soldiers, while about a quarter of the government's budget is put into the emergency fund. Siam looks on the repression of its ethnic brethren in the Dutch colonies in Indonesia with dislike, especially the massacres and repression in the Acehnese Sultanate. Again, no industrial capability to do something massive like that. Also, Brazil isn't able to get such a massive boost in college education, especially technological areas. And making treatment against malaria "just in case" is pretty ASB.
Brazil today is now about 40% major risk and 60% minor risk of malaria [4]. He has a reason to use malaria nets, but it would be a lot more prevalent back in 1915. A full health campaign is needed, not just an odd bit 'just in case'.

Spain: With standardization of the railways well underway, a review of necessary industries is undertaken for any future total war situations due to the deteriorating stability of Europe. Meanwhile, the sick are lined up and shot to prevent the spread of influenza. Although the move is met with great disdain, King Alfonso XIII gives this statement in a national speech: "Would you rather have 100 or so people killed to prevent the spread of flu, or witness the deaths of millions of people worldwide because of US?" The Purge of the Sick is over in a few hours, and many Spanish scientists are put to work to create flu treatments, including the invention of a new treatment known as vaccine, to be injected into a vein with a syringe. On the military front, Spain opens up the first of many facilities known as war factories, disguised as steel mills. These factories are to develop vehicles and weapons, and build them as well. We request copies of the plans for the GAT-01 from our German allies. We will pay generously for them.
North Morocco: An uprising by the natives led by an anti-Spain warlord is crushed with little resistance. In response, Spain reinstates the Conquistadors as a military police unit for its colonial possessions.
Spanish Sahara: Troops are sent in response to a small threat coming from a tribe seeking to drive out the "Spanish warlords". It fails, and the entire tribal village near the capital of Spanish Sahara is burned to the ground by Conquistadors, reminiscent of the conquests in the Americas.
France declares war on Spain.
Germany: We decide to support Bulgaria. We are against the Austro-Hungarians handing over Galicia to the Russians. The GAT-01s arrive in Belgium, and with the 65th Regiment, take the whole region of Liege. (Roll of Two for revoltings) As the new tanks speed into the city of Liege flying the German Empire's flags, a large crowd gathers in the way of the tanks. They throw fruits, vegetables, rocks, sand, dirt, and anything else they can find at the tanks. The tanks are mildly damaged. A Belgian man of French descent climbs onto one of the tanks, opening it up and throwing rocks at the crew inside. A crew member takes a pistol and shoots the man in the stomach, causing him to fall off the tank, clenching his stomach. The crowd is outraged, and begins to climb over the tanks. The tank crews begin firing the 20mm cannon, as well as running over some civilians. As the infantry arrive from both the Belgian and German armies, both sides fight it out. The Germans win a major victory here, taking minor losses. The Belgians lose most of their forces and retreat. The city of Liege is then burned to the ground because of the resistance it caused. The Treaty of Aachen is proposed.
Despite all of the war crimes and atrocities committed by the evil regime of Wilhelm II of Germany, Albert I reluctantly accepts the peace proposal, reassuring his citizens that the Germans will get what is coming to them. (Rex - As mod)
French President Raymond Poincare strongly condemns the German aggression, as exemplified by the destruction of Liege, in blatant disregard for the Geneva Conventions, which relate to treatment of civilians and the peaceful non-combatants, especially sick and wounded. Poincare calls for the leading German general to be tried at Brussels by a court composed of British, French, Dutch, Belgian, and German judges (one from each nation).

France begins to seriously prepare itself for mounting tensions. We begin to work to make the Entente Powers an official organization with the purpose of maintaining democratic practices throughout Europe and the world, as well as preserving the current balance of power and promoting self-determination. We invite the United Kingdom, Italy, and Russia to join as leading states of the Alliance. We also open the alliance up to the United States (as an active observer member), and any other Latin American nations. Serbia and Romania are also offered entrance to this alliance. France itself works to develop the military, with the entire army wearing camouflaged field uniforms and practicing artillery combat. Meanwhile, Colonel Estienne, an influential military strategist, proposes a series of border protections along the Franco-German border (modeled after the OTL Maginot Line). Additionally, Estienne convinces Commander Joffre to order creation of tanks to rival the German models, and car companies Renault and Peugeot quickly rise to the challenge. Renault introduces the St Arois Mach 1, and Peugeot introduces the Leopard Mach 1. Finally, Poincare invites Belgium to join France as an autonomous region, which would still maintain its current government but receive French (and therefore Russian and British) protection. A similar offer is made to the Netherlands and Luxembourg. At the end of the year, French spies report that the Spanish intend to expand aggressively and Poincare orders an invasion of Spain, putting the newly trained army to use.
Throughout the French colonial empire, the provinces are prepared for potential war. As war seems ever closer, the navy continues to improve and begins to drill for blockades and seizures of the colonies of other nations, which will probably take place in a first-come, first-serve basis. Tunisia is annexed into Algiers. Meanwhile, as the war against Spain begins, the French North African army attacks Morocco and Western Sahara.

With the growing tensions in Europe we send supplies to our allies of the Central Powers. With our flying program becoming a hit, one person builds a prototype plane to fly himself. He flies for ten minutes at the speed of 25 mph at 200 feet in the air. Our military increases with the production of weapons being made. Our navy continues to build more ships. We send troops into Bolivia and Paraguay to influence them in the Brazilian way. With France declaring war on Spain we support Spain in the war. We declare war on the Republic Of Arauca. The largely protestant areas in the North will likely be against this while the Catholic majority will favor it.

Ottoman Dip: It is sad to see Muslim Berber die, but that is a sad fact of colonial rule under Christians. We don't see what the military-political problem is about, Spain only treated their colonial rebels as they deserved. Anti-colonial rebels are sh*t in our view. The Arab rebels in are nation are lucky we only cut their noses of this time! (The Ottomans were naturally intolerant of rebels).
Argentina Dip: We are upset to see Spain invaded and condemn it. All refugees from Spain can come to Patagonia and upgrade our nation's farms. We require 100,000 to fill the labour shortages in the region. Humanitarian aid is sent to Spain.
Siam: Declares war on Spain and sends 40,000 troops (mainly newly recruited from Borneo) to assist its British ally. In the meantime, Borneo is integrated into the nation at large. Infrastructure, especially transport networks and health services, is greatly expanded, gaining the respect of the once-oppressed Bornean populace. Transport expands throughout the country, enabling improved military movement and expanding the economy. Siam proposes the Treaty of Djakarta to the Netherlands to end the war. (Mods?) In the meantime, Siam invades the Celebes to pressure the Dutch, first scouting and then running troops across the straits from Borneo into the trackless interior. Once there, they assemble and take the Dutch by surprise in a mirror of the Borneo offensive, accompanied by thousands of Sulawesi tribesmen, remembering the Dutch campaigns of 1905-6.

If it wasn't , I doubt any other organization could infiltrate the signing of the constitution, and then blow up a bomb (which would be an unlikely scenario), kill everyone important in the room (an even less likely scenario), and then cause all the A-H states to rise up in revolt. It's ASB to have three sovereign nations, plus their colonies, agree to all give up everything and become a part of France. I also told you if it WAS more like a mutual protection agreement, to NOT include them on the map, and you mustn't do ANY action with them. You have until the next turn to remodel the map and do whatever shit you need to do. ALSO, I said as well that you can't force a player country to sign a treaty. Until the Spanish player signs the treaty himself, I don't want you interacting with the regions unless it's an occupational interaction. I also don't want you to add it to the map. An alliance akin to the OTL Ottoman German Alliance is offered to Germany. Relations are strengthened with Ha’il and Bulgaria. A sloop of war based on the HMS Espiegle. Several steam trains are made and a passenger ship based on the SS Henry Chisholm are laid down. A few prototype aircraft are made. and a universally accessible public education system is introduced in Anatolia, Damascus and Eastern Thrace. The Ottomans agree to the trade deal. We invade the Russian occupied Persia to hope and set them free.

Italy, excited by the collapse of its longtime regional rival but ally due to practicality, decides that a break with the German and Austro-Hungarian states is in order. France, under President Poincare, continues to develop itself as a large-scale world power. The airplane and tank industries continue to receive even greater widespread support and therefore, investments. Renault and Peugeot continue to be major European automotive and tank manufacturers as the Leopard Mach 2 is introduced as a great success for Peugeot. Joffre continues to develop the Estienne Line (OTL Maginot Line) after finishing his combat in Spain. With the end of the Spanish War, Aragon and Navarre are improved to be brought up to French standards. Public education in that region begins to focus on assimilating the two cultures as much as possible, with education in Catalan and French.
The French Colonial Empire is reorganized into six Regional Directorates (North, Central, Eastern Africa, Americas, Indies, China). Each directorate is now in charge of its own respective region and reports to the President in Paris. Suriname and Guyana are merged into Greater Guyana, and all islands in the American Directorate are merged into the Greater Antilles. Meanwhile, the rebellions are crushed with relative ease by the Kepi Blancs.

Germany: With the French becoming stronger, and with their implementations of tanks as well, we develop the FTDV-17v, after many prototypes. It's a tracked, sixteen wheeled vehicle. It has a single rotating turret, equipped with a 57mm Anti-Tank gun, it is rhomboid shaped, and has a top speed of 20 kph. It also has a hull thickness of roughly 30mm. Another GAT vehicle is also made after two failed prototypes. The GAT-03t is its name. It's a now twelve wheeled tracked vehicle. Its 20mm cannon has been upgraded to a 30mm cannon, plus an MG-08 mounted in the turret. It's been put as a trapezoid shape, instead of the square shape of before. It has armor of 20mm thickness, and a top speed of 45kph. The FTDV-17v is manned by a six man crew: a driver, co-driver, first loader, second loader, commander, gunner. The GAT-03t has a driver, co-driver, loader, gunner. A batch of 100 of each vehicle is manufactured. They are put into the 1st Imperial Anti-Panzer Regiment, and the 2nd Imperial Panzer Regiment. Meanwhile, we threaten France to stop attacking Spain. The two Zeppelins in the Low Countries fly over northern France. We also give Spain the GAT-01 tank plans.

Siam: Although uncertain as to the precise status of the Dutch East Indies following the accession of the Netherlands to France, Siam launches a final offensive against the Dutch. While the Siamese fllet decoys its Dutch counterpart toward Sumatra, Siamese troops land in North Molucca, clearing a path toward lightly held, poor Dutch New Guinea. Siamese troops land there as well, pushing east with the support of the brutalized New Guineans. These troops are under strict orders to avoid French troops, as Siam does not want a war with France. Meanwhile, Siam reorganizes its new territories into the Triple Alliance (essentially a loose federation), composed of the Monarchy of Siam, the Dayak Republic (Borneo), and the United Principalities of the Celebes and Molucca (or Celebs-Molucca for short). Federal States of Greater Austria (FSGA): The new constitution is signed by the all provincial governments. We modify the GAT-01 Tank's blueprints, adapting it. The tank is now a seven ton, eight wheel track, rectangular vehicle, with a single rotating turret. The gun is a 40mm cannon. The crew is four: a driver, gunner, loader, and co-driver. It has a top speed of 27 kph. The armor is still 15 mm. It is named Leichtmotorgeschütz AA-01. Another, lighter version is drawn up. with a 3.2 ton weight, six wheel track, rectangular with a rotating turret. The gun is a 25mm cannon. The crew is smaller, without a co-driver and has a top speed of 35 kph. The armor is smaller, a mere 9mm thick. It is called Leichtmotorgeschütz AB-01. Both blueprints are drawn up and prototypes are created. The preparations improve the economy. We also ask Germany for the blueprints of their new vehicles, and we will of course give them our blueprints in order to improve them.
Portugal: The Portuguese military sees an increased rate of development, as a brand new structural defense program is introduced to protect the borders of Portugal and its foreign territory.

Spain: Production of the GAT-01 tank begins in the war factories. Some of the tanks have their 20mm cannons replaced with Gatling guns to allow for better suppression tactics and anti-air capabilities. Many howitzers are retired and melted down to be used in the new tanks. Meanwhile, construction of forts along the French border continues, with the first forts being opened and manned, with several of the now-obsolete howitzers being stationed there permanently. Now in a stable position and with backing from Germany and Brazil, Spain feels a bit safer, but is still nervous about the rising tensions in the rest of Europe. Troops are withdrawn from the Portuguese border to avoid inflaming the situation. Many of these troops are sent to Brazil and Germany to help reinforce their armies.
Argentina: Political support is offered to Spain and some primitive civil aircraft are built. As the Patagonian sheep industry grows, Immigrants from Europe cause a population boom as in OTL, 2.5% population growth 1917.5-1918.5. Many 20mm cannons, Gatling guns and howitzers are built.
Triple Alliance: The Alliance refreshes and resupplies its spread-out military. As a result, the military are able to deepen their control over the Moluccas. The first native troops are recruited in Siamese conquests, resulting in the expansion of the military. The battleships and cruisers are aborted and replaced with dozens of submarines, which are more within the capabilities of the country's technicians. Support, including training, is sent to Sulu. France and the Dutch are urged to accept the Treaty proposed by Siam.
Serbia: Inspired by the events in Russia, Communist riots begin in several cities, including in Belgrade. the Government of Serbia declares martial Law. Independence riots also happen in Kosovo.
Germany: We begin construction of the Hindenburg line. Meanwhile, the GAT-03ts and the FTDV-17vs are ordered for 1000 models. The GAT-01s are upgraded with some more plated armor, as well as an upgraded 25mm cannon, with a machine gun. The Hindenburg line shall stretch from the German-Swiss border, to the German-Dutch border. It shall be fitted with multiple bunkers, machine guns, artillery pieces, and cannons. The II Corps is assigned to man it, with roughly 44,000 men. The 1st Imperial Panzer Regiment, 2nd Imperial Panzer Regiment, 3rd Imperial Panzer Regiment, 4th Imperial Panzer Regiment, 1st Imperial Anti-Panzer Regiment, and the 2nd Imperial Anti-Panzer Regiments are stationed there as well. This is overall 600 tanks, 100 GAT-01s, 300 GAT-03ts, and 200 FTDV-17vs. This makes up the 1st Panzer Division. A German Expeditionary Force is created out of the XVI Corps, commanded by Lieutenant General Adolf Wild von Hohenborn. It comprises around 44,000 men. With him, he also brings 400 aircraft, and 200 GAT-03ts, and 100 FTDV-17vs. These are the multiple airwings, and the 5th and 6th Imperial Panzer Regiments, with the 3rd Imperial Anti-Panzer Regiment respectively. It sails down from Danzig to Barcelona, participating in fighting the French invaders.

Ottoman Empire: Due to the rebellions in Russia, we try to influence them and help them gain independence. So, the Sultan commands an invasion to support the Georgian and Azeri rebels. We continue our support for Ukraine,as we send them more supplies. We ask Russia to give all nations that want independence, or occupied.
Triple Alliance: The Triple Alliance improves its military. New artillery and rifles are sent to garrison troops and utilized to arm the new troops. More submarines are constructed. Fortifications are constructed throughout the alliance, especially in the Moluccas and Borneo. With the bolstered navy, Siamese submarines begin sinking all Dutch merchant shipping entering the remains of the Dutch East Indies. This begins to push the Dutch toward collapse.
FSGA: Mil and eco turn (too lazy to write it).
Spain: With additional troops and support from Germany and Brazil, Spain begins locking down its borders against the French, who by now are snarling like angry dogs at the door. The previous war with France and Britain, which ended with the Treaty of Le Havre that stripped Spain of its colonial possessions, has left a bitter taste in Spain's mouth and is pushing it closer and closer to snapping, never mind the fact that France and Britain attacked unprovoked. For now, the Caribbean Stratagem is shelved due to more pressing matters in Europe. Spain demands the Treaty of Le Havre annulled and all of its colonial possessions back, or it will do something rash - very rash. Like invade, annex and lock down the shipping lanes in and out of Portugal. Spanish scientists, meanwhile, are hard at work researching warplanes, bombs, submarines, Zeppelins, and automatic rifles. During testing of mounting machine guns on biplanes, the bullets tear through the propellers, causing the plane to crash and the pilot to die. Spanish scientists eventually come up with the synchronization gear, which stops the propeller from spinning until the bullets have passed safely. Using the plans for the GAT-01 (I just learned the reference, nice one), several new tank models are created, including the S1 Isabella (replaces the 20mm gun with a howitzer), K1 Alvarez (replaces the bullets with grenades), P1 Brasiliano (two Gatling guns that can be turned skyward to shoot down aircraft), and the G1 Cuba (replaces the 20mm gun with a pair of 15mm guns). Experimenting with rocketry using Chinese knowledge reveals that rockets can be used as deadly weapons. Expecting France to field tanks when tensions in Europe finally explode, Spain reverse engineers the old Chinese plans to create rockets made for war and not for fireworks or messaging. These rockets are expected be launched from steel tubes with a firing mechanism similar to a flint to light a very short fuse on the rocket to fire it off. The initial rockets aren't expected to be accurate, and therefore, will have to rely on a term that Spanish strategists came up with known as "splash damage" to cause damage to infantry columns. Tanks are likely to be large targets, so accuracy won't be much of a concern. On the health front, the influenza treatments are coming along with great success. The railways are now all standard gauge and freight is being exchanged with the French railway network. Spain begins shipping the tank prototypes to Germany for evaluation and also offers the models for foreign nations at very generous prices; marketers are very careful to add a clause stating that the tank will not be sold to France or Britain due to the unprovoked war.
Germany: We put Operation: White Horse into effect. Our armies roll across the Low Countries after a series of bombings, and artillery bombardment. The faster GAT-01s do well on roads and in urban environments, but are horrid in the bombed, and shelled fields. The GAT-03ts do well on roads and in cities as well, and are also better in rural environments. The FTDV-17vs are worse in urban environments, while doing very well in rural areas. The Hindenburg line is completed, and the troops roll into their positions on the French border. Our expeditionary forces beat the French out of Spain, and await on the southern French border. The war in the Low Countries is won, and we propose the Treaty of Antwerp .
Spanish Dip: Dude, the war's been over for a few turns now but it's a pleasant thought, and we appreciate any and all help in getting our armies ready to defend and eventually attack.

This fear is further increased with propaganda spread throughout the nation, and many wish to become larger and stronger.
Germany: We continue to produce tanks and conscript men. The military is improved. We send more troops to the French border. With the Baltic States rising up, we send troops into their territories. We ask for help from Russia and Austria-Hungary to defeat them.
FSGA diplomacy: We send 10,000 troops to assist the Germans.
Russian Dip: We agree and thank Germany for the intervention.
Spain: Despite its best efforts, the influenza still somehow managed to spread and cause mass death. Vaccine development intensifies. On the military front, Spain is now a member of the Central Powers after France's brief war of aggression. Old tensions dating back to the 1500s are renewed, and Spain ramps up its defenses along the French border and deploys several of the new tanks, hoping to deter France from further invasion. King Alfonso VIII publicly denounces French president Raymond Poincare, accusing him of waging a war of aggression on Spain just because they didn't agree with how Spain was dealing with the natives in Africa, when France is very much guilty of the same thing. He also publicly sets fire to the copy of the Treaty of Le Havre sent to Madrid and declares that France, Britain and all of their allies will "crumble in the face of the German war machine". With Swiss unrest, we declare war on them, and invade them, as well as Italy. This speech is met with great cheers from the crowd. The amount of troops sent to Italy is increased to 4,000,000, including 1,000,000 sent to deal with the Swiss. This makes the entire theatre made up of two and a half whole army regions. We also construct the GAT-100. It contains a 75mm cannon, and it virtually the same tank, except the speed is now 40 kph. Armor has also been increased to around 60mm. The FTDV also gets a new model, the FTDV-19, which is again, almost the same tank, except the turret has come off for a gun with a triangular-angular rotation, mounted in the front. The gun has been upgraded to a 100mm. Armor from the sides and rear have been removed and added to the front, giving it roughly 80mm of armor in the front. Production of 2000 of each begins. A new tank prototype is also developed, the STM 1. Details of it are not yet released.

Ships begin blockading Italian Somaliland to assist Germany in softening up Italian territory for invasion. Meanwhile, Spanish ships travel to the Pacific Ocean via the Panama Canal (was it built in this game?) to defend Germany's colonial holdings against the Chinese. Spanish troops are also sent to invade the Chinese mainland. To cap it all off, Alfonso VIII viciously tears into the Beiyand Government, calling them "as heartless and inhuman as France". He ends his speech with these words "You do realize this means war". And war it is. Spain declares war on China, citing unprovoked attacks on German colonial holdings in the Pacific with the claim of "being for the good of the people", when really, according to claims made behind closed doors by Alfonso VIII, they seek an empire spanning the Pacific Rim. Working on the old saying "Never Fight a Land War in Asia", Spain sends several aircraft to the airfields of their German allies to take off on sorties into China. Tactical bombings are directed at Chinese ships, while strategic bombings are aimed at the civilian population of China and all infrastructure in hopes of destroying China's way of life as punishment for their French-style warmongering. At the same time, the First United Front between KMT and Communist Party of China (CPC) was questioned after the Zhongshan Warship Incident in March 1926, and the following events in effect made Chiang Kai-shek the paramount military leader of the KMT. Although Chiang doubted Sun Yat-sen's policy of alliance with the Soviet Union and CPC, he still needed aid from the Soviet Union, so he could not break up the alliance at that time. Notable military leaders and well trained soldiers stemmed from the Whampoa Military Academy, which was set up by Sun Yat-sen in 1924. The Academy accepted all persons regardless of their party alignment. The success of The Northern Expedition can largely be attributed to both the KMT and CPC working together militarily. This unison, at the time, was strongly encouraged by the Soviet Union who wanted to see a unified China. The main targets of this expedition were three notorious and powerful warlords: Zhang Zuolin who governed Manchuria, Wu Peifu in the Central Plain region and Sun Chuanfang on the east coast. Spain: The day we have awaited has arrived. Spain finally declares war on France. Immediately, Spanish troops, tanks, planes, and Zeppelins streak across the border. The French put up a stiff resistance, but the Spanish juggernaut steamrolls over all opposition. Though Spanish forces mostly fight in the south, at least several planes make it to Paris, where on suicide pilot crashes his plane into the Eiffel Tower, causing it to collapse. With intentions to annex at least part of France, troops are careful not to destroy too much infrastructure, but still destroys many farms. Several villages are pillaged and sacked, with civilians killed or captured and enslaved. Meanwhile, troops are withdrawn from China and hostilities cease. All returning troops are sent to France.
Russia: Russia fully mobilizes the military, and Czar Nicholas II orders it to put down the Soviets, brutally if need be.

A squad of Conquistadors (now a general term for commando) actually make it into Paris and managed to break into the Louvre to steal various artworks, including all of the paintings (special care is taken with the Mona Lisa), Hammurabi's Code of Laws and various smaller structures, all loaded into a truck painted to look like a French ambulance. They manage to sneak out of Parisian city limits undetected, and deliver the art to the landed Z1. Alfonso XIII intends to use the Mona Lisa as leverage in negotiating a surrender. French forces, meanwhile, who managed to survive the initial steamroller assault, attempt to return to their trenches, but are gunned down or captured after being surrounded by K1 tanks. Meanwhile, with the riches looted from farms and villages in the French countryside, Alfonso approves, from aboard Z1, $5,000,000 in aid to the United States, debt-free.
Switzerland: I give $1,500,000 to aid the United States after hearing their economy is starting to decline. We also are working on our industry and are sorry to hear troubles in Europe and America and hope to help soon.
USA Diplomacy: We offer the rebels a ceasefire to end the rebellion and offer to join Germany in its alliance and its war in exchange for French colonies of Algeria and Tunis. Also, we want military and economic aid from Germany and the rights to conquer Mexico and Canada and have unrestricted reign in South America.

Kuomintang: On the 20 July 1921 the Northern Expedition began. This was the first true military test of the Republic’s National Revolutionary Army and its leadership. The training at Whampoa, Russian arms and advisors, the strong will and morale of the soldiers and the warm welcome they received from most of the common people as they marched north combined to be a deadly combination for the warlords. The first major battle was fought at Changsha in Hunan province, where General Tang Shengzhi was leading a rebellion against Wu Peifu. Tang had been supported by troops from the Guangxi Clique for some time and with the Northern Expedition his army become one of the eight that made up the NRA. Earlier, on July 9, Chiang gave his lecture to 100,000 soldiers of the National Revolutionary Army (NRA), which was set up by the students trained in the Whampoa Military Academy and equipped with Russian and German weapons in the opening ceremony, which was the official commencement of Northern Expedition. NRA soldiers were far better organized than the warlord armies which they faced due to their military advisers. In addition, the NRA was regarded as a progressive force on behalf of ordinary people persecuted by warlords, for which it received warm welcome and strong support from peasants and workers. It was no surprise the NRA could march from Zhu River area to Yangtze River in less than half a year and annihilate the main force of Wu and Sun, and strengthen its force from 100,000 to 250,000.

Kuomintang: On August 25, Sun Chuanfang's army, now close to the Yangtze, launched an all-out attack upon the Nationalist Forces. The worst hit was the First Route Army, defending the strategically placed city of Longtan, vital to the supply of Nanking via Shanghai. The battle raged around Longtan, especially on Mt. Zhang's son, Zhang Xueliang, took over control of Manchuria and decided to cooperate with Chiang and the Kuomintang by replacing all banners of the Beiyang Government in Manchuria to the flag of the Nationalist Government, thus nominally uniting China under one state, due to his desire to drive out Japanese influence over Manchuria.

Again, this goes especially true, in order to gain some union with a nation, you need at least a decade, depending on nation size and population, and then another ten years to fully annex it into Brazil. Federal States of Greater Austria: Tensions rise in the nation as the government attempts to control the newly-gained territory. In the regions of Croatia, Bosnia, and Vojwodina, Stjepan Radić, Svetozar Pribićević and a younger politician, Ante Pavelić gain higher positions, having control over said region. This new triumvirate controls a new macro-region called Südslavien or Jugoslavija which is translated to South Slavia or incorrectly, Yugoslavia. With Italian uprisings, the military and infrastructure are developed to prepare for larger revolts.

FSGA: With approval from Emperor Franz Ferdinand, Operation: Entlastung is set into motion by Pavelić, Radić and Pribićević. On March 3rd, the Serbian government receives information about the declaration of war. On early morning of March 4th, the Greater-Austrian forces are already attacking Serbia, both from Vojwodina, Bosnia and Albania. As expected, the government requests for assistance from their allies, The German Reich, The Ottoman Empire and Spain as well as other members of the Central Powers.With tanks already in mass production, the Operation is considered to end in less than two years.

Thousands of Australian students went to UK every year for studies and Australia supplied the British Australasian Colonies with natural gas, coal and iron ore for cheap prices. The Australian Prime Minister called for further unity amongst the Commonwealth and requested his British seniors if it were possible for a Commonwealth Meeting to take place at Canberra. Developments in the military continued and trade with the East Indies had strengthened Australia's economy.
Serbia: Due to the invasion of Austrian forces, a ceasefire is declared between Communist and Monarchist forces. Both sides begin guerrilla warfare against the Austrian invaders. Peter I goes into hiding.

A population boom is continuing to happen. We continue to send ambassadors and troops to Bolivia and Paraguay to influence them in our ways. We send supplies and men to help out Austria in their war.
Spain: With its Austrian ally invading Serbia, and a call for help sent to Spain, Germany and the Ottomans, Spain declares war on Serbia and marches its armies (a mix of new recruits, Great War veterans, and conscripted Frenchmen) into Serbian territory via Albania, Bosnia, and Vojwodina. Spain knows that Serbia is a worthy opponent, and therefore, sends its tanks, planes, and Zeppelins to assist. King Jaime I, aboard his late father's command Zeppelin Z1, oversees the battle from high in the air, and uses the airship's megaphone to play God, just as his father did during the Battle of Paris. Spain urges Germany and the Ottomans to assist, and also invites Brazil. Meanwhile, back home, anti-war protests in Madrid are dispersed.

Spain: The joint Austrian-Spanish invasion of Serbia goes well. The Spanish Royal Army, assisted by the forces Germany sent, make good headway into Serbian territory. Serbia puts up a good defense, but it is hardly effective against Spanish tanks and bombers. Aboard Zeppelin Z1, King Jaime I orders Zeppelins Z4 and Z5 to direct their Howitzers at Serbian airfields to deny Serbia air access and control the skies. Back in Madrid, a funeral is held for the late King Alfonso XIII, with dignitaries from Spain's Central Powers allies in attendance.

Federal States of Greater Austria: Operation Entlastung is a success, and Serbia is occupied and preparations are made for its integration into the South Slavic State. The royalty of Serbia is given a choice, they can peacefully leave the land or be executed. The Serbian Communists, under South Slavia, are given the right to partake in the government. With the territory of the FSGA increasing too rapidly, revolts are becoming impossible to stop. The government barely holds onto it, and autonomous regions are created to hold off the inevitable.
Austria-Hungary: The central region keeps hold onto Austria, Hungary, Bohemia and other regions.
The Republic of South Slavia: The autonomous region of South Slavia is run by a democratic government, allowing even Communists to partake in elections.
The Republic of Provence: Also called the French Republic, it is compromised of former French colonial and European territory.
The Republic of Italy: The Republic is made up of most of the FSGA Italian territory.
Ottoman Empire:Sultan Mehmed V was shot by an Italian Fascist organization. As a result, Sultan Mommahed XII takes power, and orders all troops to be sent to Ottoman Italian occupied Italy. We will not tolerate this. With the rising tensions in our Italian occupied country we are considering ceding the the island of Silicy to the republic of Italy.

Spain: With troops returning from Serbia, Spain immediately moves to build up a self-sustaining economy. King Jaime I passes several economic reforms to protect against the worldwide depression. The railways are nationalized under RENFE, as are several other parts of the economy including the mail service and coal mines. To offset costs, many older models of tanks, planes, Zeppelins and rifles are retired and scrapped. Development of new weapons is temporarily halted to save money, as is research on medicines. To keep its economy up, Spain decides to sell goods and its older weapons and vehicles to third-world countries at very low prices. The war factories are temporarily converted for peacetime use as regular factories producing consumer goods for overseas export.
Germany: The entire nation mourns the death of our beloved Kaiser. Wilhelm III succeeds to the throne. We continue producing tanks, aircraft and warships. Our armies continue to converge on the eastern and northern borders.
White Russia: Nicholas II flees to the Caucasus region and establishes a government in Sochi. Royalists flock to the site and the last remaining White Army, some 750,000 men strong begins establishing defenses. Unfortunately, most of the Czar's family dies in the escape, and only Princess Anastasia survives to inherit the throne. Nicholas II officially revokes all claims to Persia.

Spain: King Jaime I decides to send troops to Mexico to assist in quelling the rebels. In a massive surprise, Spain actually strikes gold in its African colonial holdings. When news reaches King Jaime I, he immediately gets out his megaphone, strolls to the balcony of the palace, and shouted to the masses "WE'RE RICH!!!!". The gold veins are found to be massive, perhaps the largest in history, are immediately tapped and massive mining operations begin. Ships are sent to bring the gold to the Spanish Mainland to be refined at the mints ... under extremely heavy guard to protect against pirates. Fearing a new age of piracy is starting, Spain begins upping production of warships, and also looks into possibly reinstating privateering (secretly, of course). Security within Spanish borders are also beefed up since Spain is now a major target for other countries embittered by the depression. To lessen the impact, Spain decides to export 15% of all mined gold to its Central Powers allies.
Ottoman Empire: We give the island of Sicily to the Republic of Italy. We work on our military and economy. After the worldwide stock market crash.
Germany: We continue making tanks, airplanes and weapons, and also conscripting. We plant troops on the Russian and Danish borders, in fortifications.

The world economy continues to decline and hits an all-time low, with massive inflation beginning across the world.
Rebellions in Italy continue.
The French, after blaming the collapse of the economy on the Spanish, begin to rise up under a man by the name of Hugues Tremblay, who leads a French Fascist movement. Their headquarters is the city of Toulouse. They attempt to try to get the region under their control to merge with the existing French.
Spain: King Jaime I, realizing that Civil War is upon them, mobilizes the army to quash the rebellion in Toulouse and kill Hugues Tremblay before he can destabilize the region. Immediately, troops march into Toulouse and level the town, in an event now known as the Toulouse Massacre. Tremblay manages to escape, but is found in a compound outside Monaco three months later after a massive manhunt. He is brought to Madrid and publicly executed as an example to those who try to rise up against the Republic of Spain. Pre-emptive strikes, meanwhile, are carried out against tribal villages to ensure there are no anti-colonial uprisings among the natives, as well as stop them from harassing the gold convoys. Speaking of which, with the gold being mined, Spain has basically beaten back the Great Depression, and destroyed inflation. Jaime I, while touring the smoldering ruins of Toulouse, is ambushed by pro-Fascist rebels, but they are all killed by his Conquistador escort.
Germany: We hear of the destruction of Toulouse, which does not go unnoticed, Toulouse being the third largest city in France. We begin to crack down on Fascist movements subtly. We don't want any of the taken countries getting any ideas. Meanwhile, we invade Denmark.

Spain: Despite managing to escape the economy-related riots thanks to gold mining in Africa, the French are still rising up. Spain begins rolling out new weapons, tanks, planes and Zeppelins to fight the rebels, as the uprising is publicly declared a civil war. Spain accuses the Commonwealth of inciting the uprisings in a bid to re-establish France as a legitimate nation and not a protectorate, and demands they confess. Behind closed doors, King Jaime I and his strategists look into the feasibility of war with the Commonwealth and their allies, including the isolationist United States. We invite any nation, any nation at all, who has been oppressed in one way or another by Britain and her allies, to join the Central Powers. Meanwhile, Spain has built up its economy with the gold mined in Africa.
Republic of Bulgaria: The first fort in our Antarctica colony, called Fort MacArthur, is made. Explorers are sent to do more exploring in Antarctica.
Germany: We put down the rebellions with relative ease. Production and recruitment increases. We invade Scandinavia.
The world economy hits rock bottom. Rebellions begin in ALL nations across the world.
Rebellions continue in Italy.
The French continue to rebel against the Spanish.
White Russia: what little military is left for the monarchists is deployed to protect the Czar. Several civilians are killed, but order is mostly restored. Public announcements are broadcasted across the Soviet Union, blaming the economic woes on the Communists.
Spain: Winding down military operations, Spain switches to peacetime operations and begins normalizing production. The military is still occupied with the French Revolutionaries, but they aren't getting very far. King Jaime I, knowing Spain has come very far since 1915, sets his sights on a bright future for all mankind. He knows that war is coming once more, this time with the Commonwealth, the last of France, and perhaps even the isolationist United States. Scientists work feverishly to create new airplanes that are a far cry from the biplanes and triplanes of the Great War. The same goes for the tanks and Zeppelins. And thus, this chapter in Spain's history came to an end. 'Twas an era of great expansion and innovation. Now a new era was beginning. A new golden age. Rumors of a new invention called the television were coming out of Germany, and Spain had first dibs on the first models. Here's to the future, said King Jaime I as he went to bed the night the Spanish Royal Military returned from cleaning up in Serbia. Here's to the future of Spain, of mankind, of Earth. Map games don't always get to their finish date. Only a few (under ten) have gotten that far. This game is no different. It died because no one was posting other than two people, and occasionally someone else would post, then not be seen again for many turns afterward. The interest I've had in this has also declined. Other people's interest declined as well. In the east, virtually nothing happened except a small war with China, and Siam taking Southeast Asia, then leaving the game. The west was little better, with a few people playing in SA, with a few events here and there. The lack of anything else there was one of the major reasons as to why they quit. The Europe situation was purely because there was too much of a clusterfuck. Everyone was grabbing lands, nations would rise and fall in literally a few years, leaving borders unstable as all hell, and also rebellion after rebellion.
