The Saxon Confederation or Old Saxony was a tribal confederation in OTL northwest Germany. It evolved into the feudal Saxon Empire after the ascent of a powerful tribal warrior, Waldar I, to power. While he couldn't entirely establish a full control over the kingdom due to the heavy powers of Saxon tribes, he set Saxony in its way to a somewhat long-living Germanic empire.
