Flag[]

The flag of Canada was first used just after the 1931 Statute of Westminster gave Canada its independence. The Union Flag makes up the canton. The red background represents both the blood and the pride of the nation's citizens. The golden color maple leaf represents not only the nation's natural environment, but also the good fortunes that Canada has been blessed with.
