History[]
Nepal was invaded by India back in 1600, and for a while, it enjoyed Autonomy up until 1790, when it was able to declare independence from India. From then on it became a Kingdom up until 1920, when the government was changed to a Republic. It remained neutral in First World War, but sent support for the allies in the Second World War. However, in 1950, the Maoist party gained support in Nepal, and got elected in 1953, causing tensions against both India and the Republic of China. Later on in 1965, the Nepali had developed missiles with secret help of the Soviet Union, which caused great distress with both India and China, and by 1970, the missiles were dismantled in Nepal. The communist government in Nepal fell in 1985, turning the nation into a democracy again.
