The Game

2003.25

The nations of Burma and Thailand refuse Vietnam’s offer for an alliance. Angered by Vietnam’s recent actions, the two nations instead turn toward Malaysia and Singapore for an alliance.

Minor protests begin in central China and Wu against Korea, who many believe has done nothing to aid the Chinese economy or infrastructure. Feeling pressured by Bao and the locals, Wu plans a vote to secede from the Confederation.

Korea conducted a bailout of Wu. 

Why would Wu listen to Bao.... their enemy? Why would they leave what they are the head of. This mod event makes no sense.

No one responded so I will put my imput now: 1) It was a 100 billion bailout to be exact; 2) How could Korea help Wu's economy with only three months of peace? 3) According to the Treaty of Taipei each of the Chinese Confederacy runs its own economy without the interference of Korea, unless requested.

It is discovered that in Central Africa strains of the Zombie infection have been extracted and begin to appear on the black market as biological weapons. Some of these weapons begin to appear in West Africa, the Middle East and other locations.

The region of Toulouse, Aquitaine and Arles begin to petition for complete independence. Some in France also consider the option of unifying the nation.

They are independent. Thus the independence is an invalid claim.

Despite the attempted Better Together campaign, which many dismiss as useless propaganda, many still protest the union. Finally, the leaders of the Netherlands sign the treaty proposed by South Africa. The company of Airbus, stationed in Toulouse, refuses to move to South Africa. The Netherlands also refuse to forcefully move South African citizens, calling it inhumane.

Mali's army score drops to one due to mass troop desertion or capture.

Japan: Japan continues to build up the Self Defence Forces and infrastructure is improved. Some of the Maritime Self Defence Force still continues to patrol around Japan. Synthpop, Electro, Techno, and Trance continue to rise in popularity. The Republic Bold of Kyushu continues to rebuild the island. Tatsunori Katsumata, ZUN, and Twilight Frontier, continues creating Immaterial and Missing Power. Chihei Hatakeyama's radio show/station, "A State of Trance" rises in popularity.

Federation of the Arabian Peninsula: Construction of the Nuclear Power plant in the ad-Dahna desert finishes. It is now in operation and provides power to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, as well as numerous small cities. Araby continues to be popular, and Maktoob wishes to enter talks of selling itself to Google. Gold continues to be mined in the Cradle of Gold for use as "Currency Bonds" to keep up with increasing popularity. The agricultural reforms for the Federation continue to be successful, further stabilizing crop prices and reducing importation and reliance on foreign agriculture. Oman's agriculture yield continues to grow, slowly but strongly. A poll is conducted across the Federation that entails citizens' opinions on becoming part of the New Commonwealth and it shows that 40% are in favor of it, 60% are against it, and everyone now has an opinion. War is declared on Israel (Casus Belli: Political Blunder (-1), Objective: Add to Sphere (+2), Modifiers: Religious motive (-2) Frequent Enemy (-1). Total: -2). The current situation in the Middle-East in the Arab-Israeli Conflict, with Israel now only holding the Central-West Coast of Israel.

ot to attack Palestinians. At least 2000 Palestinian Nationalists aid the Federation army in South District and West Bank. Syria invades from the North into the North District with an army of 300,000 soldiers, and Egypt invades the Gaza strip with 400,000 soldiers (Algos pending, successful). The Federation, Egypt, and Syria surprise the Israelis who were not expecting such a large attack. The Israeli's mobilize their reservers and fight against the invading armies. The Federation army wipes out the Israeli army through lightning attacks and superior equipment, such as the T-90 and the ARA-21 Bullpup. The Egyptians are successful as well, fighting a divide Israeli military. They use the surprise of the Federation's attack and the distraction of the forces to quickly take back the Sinai Peninsula. The Syrians, however, are barely successful. They attack around the same time as the Federation and meet a not-entirely distracted Israeli army, but through combined supplies and assistance from the Federation nations and Egypt, they are able to successfully hold their own and push back the Israeli army. Egypt now occupies the Sinai, The Federation occupies West Bank and South District, and Syria occupies the North District as the war continues.

Mali (USRWA): We begin to take advantage of this appearance of the Z-Virus on the black market and buy some samples in order to mass produce the new Z-Strain. We test out one sample on Ghana, Mauritania and other former states of the USRWA and the WAF. We also unleash it on the occupation forces as over 300k are infected. The last remnants of our army are now fighting back against the occupation. The government prepares to flee to an unspecified location on the planet, along with any remaining samples. Unknown to the Russians is that the virus can spread by anything, including water and animals, compared to the original Z-Strain and it begins to spread amongst the evacuees. AC: Tiring of the long diplomatic process, and the lack of UR response for almost a year, the AC revolutionary hardliners, numbering around 1000, ambush the 100 or so UR guards in the AC they go on patrol in groups of ten, and after a brief series of firefights, wipe them out. The other independence supporters, their hand forced, declare independence also. After a brief discussion, the UR scientists in New Cambridge defect to the AC. With no outside aid, the AC citizens are given food in the form of algae, which contains all the nutrition (If you eat enough) to support a human being. Loyalist UR supporters have a protest march in New Portsmouth, and the independents fire on them. The UR guards are dispatched to New Portsmouth, whilst a hastily trained FAC militia is raised in New Manchester, and marches marches on New Falkland, being intercepted on the way by a pro-UR Faction from New London. As more and more independents join the militia, the UR troops are called back, and pro-UR militias from the loyal cities march in, met by independent militias. However, things take a turn for the worse, as many of the militias defect to the independents, and, with New London and New Stanley, New Falkland is soon under direct threat. Upon this realization, evacuation begins, and the UR guards give their lives stalling the thousands of FAC militiamen that are coming for the AC government, who escape to Buenos Aires, and request UR aid. Meanwhile, the FAC government sets about destroying entrances, although a secret entrance is created to let trade in, but that only leads to a cave, where the food is dropped off, and then the floor of the cave slides down, another identical floor slides down into place, and the original is emptied of food. This is a new system, and the original AC government knows nothing of this. The FAC citizens fill the gap with algae and fish.

• United Republics Diplomacy: The independents do realize the Compact of Association was signed last month by the legislative branch. Furthermore, all it was awaiting for was the executive branch signature. Now, due to their actions we must take action. Following the firing upon in New Portsmouth, 25,000 soldiers flood all the cities (5000 each). (Wouldn't his attack on my guards still require an algo?) High focused explosives will be used to break down the doors. (Also, don't the Independents need a casus belli).  All Five Cities are fought for control . Agents already inside (per UR turns in 2001-02) will join and even open the doors if needed.  OOC: having "thousands" of troops for the FAC is mostly implausible/at the very least non-specific as at most there was 55% seeking independence, and the population of the AC is 12,500 total.

UK: The UK officially continues its constant war on the militaristic African remnants and deploys 200,000 troops with main battle tanks and IFV's as well as full aerial support. Defenses are built to fight the infected and prevent their ingress into all UK/New Commonwealth controlled areas of Africa. The UK soldiers decide instead of continually invading these areas of Africa the military infrastructure will be targeted with cruise missiles. The cruise missiles are used on many military complexes in Mali and even some of their Zombie containment areas are targeted to force them to fight infected as well as any troops they have decided to fight. The UK asks the international community for permission to nuke Mali.

Russia: Due to weaponized variants of the Zombie virus we have decided to distribute Phlaxicorton-Y among the population in case of any terrorist attack. Gas masks are handed out by the Omon Spetsnaz police. While this is occurring in all towns, villages and cities across the Russian Federation we have decided to launch Operation: Blackwatch in Mali where these weapons are most likely seen. Operation: Blackwatch is a plan created by the GRU that consists of doing house raids of suspected government supporters and suspicious individuals. Over 3000 Spetsnaz working for the GRU and over 5000 Omon Spetsnaz police have been sent into Mali, all of which have gas masks and atropine auto-injectors in case of a viral outbreak. The local population has seen to be in favor of our occupation force due to the fact that the Malian government is too corrupt and unstable to ensure peace in its own nation. Many of which are aiding the GRU and the Omon in finding suspects tied to the black market in Africa. Mi-8s now patrol the skies. This rising threat made Operation: Blackwatch a priority ordered by the State Duma, the Federal Assembly, and the President of the Russian Federation. Building raids have been conducted all across Mali with the help of the local populace to find susceptible individuals tied to this market chain. All of these raids have been seen successful, with many individuals being tried in Mali for the possession of biological weapons and ties to the black market. While the main objective of Operation: Blackwatch is being prioritized, 800 Spetsnaz from the GRU along with 3000 troops are moving in to capture the last of the Malian government in a raid of the capital building which has been under siege for months even after the capture of Bamako as a secondary objective to completely remove this government with some supplies from the Nigerian and Mauritanian Defense Forces. They will then be handed to the Malian people where they will await their possible execution and a new government will be established by the nationalist groups who have supported the occupation. Reconnaissance have reported that about 1500 paramilitaries, loyal to the regime still remain, entrenched in a large high security fortress like structure. All trade moving within Mali and around its borders is completely monitored by the Omon Spetsnaz police to ensure that Operation: Blackwatch is successful in quarantining these weapons. As news companies in Russia reveal the possibility of large scale terrorist attacks, gun prices have started to rise. Because of this, the State Duma has passed a bill for the allocation of the Народной армии (Narodnoj Armii) or People’s Army. A militia in which the Russian people will rise into an armed militia in the case of a large biological strike where the sovereignty of the Russian Federation is threatened, where personal defense weapons will be distributed among the populace 18 and over to aid in the defense of such an attack. New protocols have been made to fight back any infection by the use of information transmitted by the Internet. Google has immediately updated its search bar with a new feature to alert the local police of any infection. However, this feature is locked until the infection has been spotted in the area. Other new protocols include the distribution of rations to the populace, mass evacuation into Siberia with screening processes, using the metros of major cities as shelters, the evacuation of all branches of the government to Novaya Zemlya where HAARP is located at, and many more. Research at HAARP still continues as the first weather modification tests are scheduled to take place in about three months at Franz Josef Land. Designers at Sukhoi continue to construct the first prototype of the PAK FA. Due to the fact that Mali has gone overboard with their actions, we have decided to add onto Operation: Blackwatch and conduct the nuclear devastation of Mali with the permission of the international community; if this is allowed the population of Mali and all occupation forces will be evacuated whole into neighboring countries to conduct the nuclear strikes. In the neighboring nations of Mali, the infection has started to rise as over 300,000 are infected. In co-operation with the defense forces of former West Africa, we are able to get the upper hand in destroying the virus in the area. Mi-8 helicopters bristled with machine guns are now patrolling the skies. The virus remains loose in rural areas all across former West Africa which is significantly easy to spot. Several Typhoon-Class ballistic missile submarines have been relocated near the Atlantic coast of Africa in case the order for a nuclear strike on Mali has been permitted.

Seeing the state of the civil war in Antarctica, we secretly send food, medical supplies, and other supplies to the Free Antarctic Cities. We state to them that we are NOT aiding any side in the war, but we want to prevent people from starving. Many white New Mexican refugees experience discrimination in the primarily Native American state of Dinetah, for that is where most refugees settle. Native Americans on the other hand find that the refugees are taking their jobs for lower prices, and many have little intentions to leave. On the other side of the nation, Rezzurectionists and non-Rezzurectionists in Nevada and Utah are conflicting over land. Neo-Mughal Empire: The Empire captures a shipment of biological weapons on a barge in the Indus River. The weapons are sent to the UR for disposal. The government believes that the weapons were en route to a group of Communist militias. As such, the military begins a crackdown to find them. Three gunboats and ten APCs are constructed along with more jets. Mineral extraction, Human rights, and education efforts continue. Humanitarian aid and influence continue to be sent to the Sikh Empire, Sri Lanka and the Kazakh Khanate.

Oceania: Condemns the Philippines for their POW camps. Canberra continues to be modernized. Outback terraforming continues. Economic influence of Malaysia continues. Development continues. We again ask the United States for a co-production license for the F-16 Falcon Jet, along with a license for the Iowa-Class battleships.

Burma: Since our recent outrage at Vietnam's behaviour we have moved some of our border defence towards the Burma-Vietnam border, we are not hostile towards Vietnam but we are keeping our enemies close. Production of a second Battle Cruiser is underway and General Clark Harrington is making regular visits to the construction site. Even though he is with a different branch, the workers are pleased that someone is taking a real interest in their work. The CEP has released a new model of solar panel, the "FR 087 Solar Farm" it has made the "IS 238 Solar Farm" obsolete.

However, the cities are not captured yet and thus the Fourth Battle of Taipei (algo to be made) and the Second Battle of Guangzhou (algo to be made) begin. Many of our citizens believe start to believe that the Chinese Confederacy has done more harm than good and major protests start in Seoul. A series of expansionist counter protests begin and the factions start fighting each other. This forces the Korean government to bring in the police to quell the protesters. Elections for the presidency officially start and the majority of the populace either vote for the Isolationist Party Candidate or the Expansionist Party Candidate.

United Republics: Stunned by the impatience of the AC to succeeded and firing upon the loyalists march. 5000 guards are sent to the cities. They will live on various patrol and icebreaker ships in order to fight. Evacuations of citizens also take place from those who wish to avoid combat. Agents already within the AC's will open the doors to the cities for the soldiers as the fight for control. Industry is upgraded by 0.25.  Marte Orbital Research is complete. And as a first test, many components of the URSA Space Station are upgraded. Further deep sea research continues. High speed rail is built from Sul to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and is now complete. The holdings in California continue as the PRCalifornia government is nowhere to be found.  Aid is sent to Senegal in case of WAF agents, and aid is sent to the UM to defend itself against N. Italy. Influence continues over Bolivia and Suriname, and increases over Honduras and El Salvador and the South Caribbean. Sul: Continues to upgrade defense and build High Speed Rail. Citizens are extremely disappointed at the cancellation of the 2002 World Cup. Upgrades industry by 0.25.

Iberia: Continues focus on education. Aid is sent to Senegal in case of WAF aggression. Sends aid to the UM for their invasion of N. Italy. Upgrades industry by 0.25. 

Senegal: Raises troops in case of WAF aggression. Continues to modernize. Upgrades industry by 0.25.

United Mediterranean: At home the hybrid car war continues, as the two companies continue massive competition for the hybrid car market in S. Europe. An attack is made on N. Italy, at the request of Italian officials, along the coast (Algo coming).  Upgrades army by 0.25.

Nicaragua: Continues construction of the canal. 

Aquitaine: Continues to build up navy. Aid is sent to the UM. Industry is upgraded by 0.25.

Toulouse:  Continues to build up navy. Aid is sent to the UM. Industry is upgraded by 0.25.

Arles:  Continues to build up navy. Aid is sent to the UM. Industry is upgraded by 0.25.

Switzerland:  Continues to rebuild infrastructure and banking industry. Aid is sent to the UM. Industry is upgraded by 0.25.

Green goes to Texas, Orange to Chan Santa Cruz, and Blue will be jointly administered

Texas sends advisors to the Remnant Republic and Florida to aid in their government and secretly influence them. A proposal is sent to Chan Santa Cruz on the border, proposing the creation of a Joint Administration Zone in the most undeveloped area. Expansion into Northern Mexico is listed as a top priority. We send supplies to the UR for the fight in the Antarctic Cities and supplies to Israel.

Because of the Federation of the Arabian Peninsula invading Israel, much of the Israeli Jewish population begins to seek refuge in nearby nations. Refugees have tried to move into nearby nations such as Egypt and Syria who have declined them. Many of these refugees are asking the government of the Russian Federation to allow them to seek refuge in their nation.

After a raid on the Malian capital building in Bamako, the government was soon captured and handed to nationalists co-operating with the occupation forces. Afterwards, nationalists in Bamako have soon publically hung the Malian government. A democratic republic was soon established by the local populace who has signed the Treaty of Bamako. Shortly after, the Democratic Republic of Mali was created.

Even though the original Malian government was captured, those who were still loyal to the United Socialist Republics of West Africa have been allowed to continue their sovereignty to ensure that no civil occurs. The Democratic Republic of Mali has given the Socialists the province of Kidal to continue their existence. (Ratc333 this is what you’ll be playing as; Nation Name: Socialist Republic of Kidal; Population: 23,562; because your population isn’t 50,000 your industry score falls back to 1). Even though a new government has been established, belligerents of the West African War are waiting for the signature of the newly established Socialist Republic of Kidal to sign the Treaty of Bamako and officially end the war, or else face complete destruction.

Protestors in the newly established SRK have started ranting in the newly established capital of Tessalit. (If the Treaty isn’t signed by the end of this turn a stability loss of five points will occur; Stability will rise back up by ten points as long as there are no major regime changes, Treaty of Bamako has been signed, upgrading has completely halted, and you haven’t been in war for 12 turns (Stated by the Rules)).

Occupation forces in former West Africa have started fight back the virus the government of Mali has unleashed, successfully destroying most traces of it within the region. However, locals describe that some of the infected have crossed the border into the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Russian GRU and Omon Spetsnaz Police have successfully destroyed black market operations selling the weaponized variant of the infection.

The Israeli Defense Force still remains fighting, declaring that they will fight to the death. Israel's army score is increased to three and its industry increases to two as all resources are put toward defense. 

In North Italy, many more nations within Europe are still declaring sanctions, such as Cyprus, Bohemia, and Poland. Some of which are planning an official invasion of North Italy to remove this corrupt government and make them a state in the Republic of Italy.

May someone please clear up the situation in China and post a mod event on China? The other mod event was refuted by a bailout, a short period of peace, and a treaty. Thanks in advance.

Greater Vietnamese Republic: Since Burma has moved forces toward the border we too move some forces towards the border, Construction on air bases in Laos have started. 10,000 troops are fully trained and build six giếng mo, six Lạc Long Quân-destroyers, 15 MiG-23b, 15 Mig-23v, and five tàu khu trục. We offer aid to help Wu. We offer a trade agreement to Wu to help their economy stabilize again. We hope to end the hostility between the Greater Vietnamese Republic and Wu.

Rep. of Italy: 100,000 soldiers are sent to Milan, in order to help the invasion of North Italy. Also, President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi condemns the act of blaming the nation for a terrorist attack.

Oceania: Industry upgraded by 0.25

Russia: Israeli refugees are accepted into the Russian Federation. About 500,000 during the past three months have moved into the Russian Federation, and have each been given housing in the Caucasus or Siberia. Most of which have already found jobs with the local oil industries in the Caucasus and gold mining excavation at the Ural Mountains (No insult intended about the part with the gold). As this seems as a major drawback for the Russian economy, many are using this as an advantage to expand local industry and business, actually boosting the Russian economy. Some of these refugees were part of the Israeli Defense Force which has been hiding during the FAP’s occupation. One refugee was former Brigadier General Haim Ronen, the commander of the IDF Ordnance Corps, which provides the IDF with vehicles, weapons and munitions. While his bags were being searched at the border screening station at the Caucasus, border police found plans of Merkava IV Main Battle Tank which was supposed to enter service with the IDF in 2004. Haim Ronen was soon offered $10,000,000 to restart his life by Uralvagonzavod for the blueprints in which he quickly accepted. Days after the designs have been bought out by Uralvagonzavod, they have made more efficient design edits, and the tank was soon proposed the design to the Russian Armed Forces for a new main battle tank called the T-95. This was soon quickly accepted, and the Uralvagonzavod has started to continue producing tanks for the Russian Armed Forces. New design features include a 2000 Horsepower, 16 Cylinder V16 Engine, with a top speed of 43 mph and an operational range of 600 miles. DERAPS has also been applied, making the T-95 tank more armored and durable in urban hostile environments. An auto loader has been applied, speeding up reload time and allowing the tank to only have a crew of three like other Russian tanks. The gun was soon replaced by the bigger caliber 2A46 125mm gun and designers have also included a 9M119 Svir ATGM launcher, which can also target low flying aircraft. Other than combat features, the T-95 also includes passive features for movement such as snorkel gear to move underwater at a maximum depth of five meters. Its new suspension allows it to move much more “freely” when doing fast movements of ramp like objects, allowing the tank to bounce into the air. Some at Uralbagonzavod call it the “Flying Tank” for its new suspension. Prototypes are starting to be constructed for the T-95. Due to the fact that many refugees are moving into the Russian Federation from Israel, an annual quota has been made to only allow 500,000 refugees from Israel each year and no more. However, about 50,000 more refugees are allowed to enter the Russian Federation until the end of this year. Research at HAARP continues, a weather test is to be scheduled in the next three months at Franz Josef Land. Extra funding for the Russian education system starts. Designers at Sukhoi have finally constructed the prototype for the PAK FA. Tests have on its maneuverability and movement has been a complete success, weapons testing will start within the next couple months. Our occupation forces in Africa continue to fight back the virus successfully. Industry upgrades to 4.75.

• AFR Diplomacy: We are not interfering with the goal of the FAP. We are supporting them in their endeavor. We simply want to avoid wanton destruction and murder or pillaging of civilian property and people's religious ideas.

Appalachian Federal Republic: The government sends fifty troops to Israel to prevent the damaging of Israeli property, religious structures and the pillaging of the nation. The navy ships supplies to the refugees, and demands that the FAP allow the refugees back in the nation unharmed, and the full return of their property. The government launched a manned mission to space. He makes it to LEO, and successfully returns to earth.

• Russian Diplomacy: We demand that you stop interfering with our ally's religious goal and pull out all government personnel that you have sent to Israel. Even though we are not aiding the Federation of the Arabian Peninsula, we support their goals. This is only if you are interfering.

Congo: With the help of Uganda and Angola we continue our campaign against Rwandan insurgents. We order an army of about 100,000 men toward Rwanda to end this conflict once and for all. We meet resistance at Giseny and engage the RCD militia, backed by the Third and Fourth Rwandan Divisions, numbering about 40,000 (I’ll try to do an algorithm soon). Another 5000 soldiers are trained for combat, increasing our army score to 1.50. We ask for a trade agreement with South Africa.

Korea: The Isolationist Candidate, Roo Moo-hyun wins the election and becomes the President. Being an isolationist, he thinks that the Chinese Confederacy has failed in its mission of restoring order to the Chinese Factions and instead has brought in more chaos. Because of this Moo-hyun proposes to dissolve the Chinese Confederacy in the recent capture of Guangzhou via The Treaty of Guangzhou. With Guangzhou decisively captured we capture General Bao and arrest him to await his trial for human rights violations. The Korean military occupies Guangzhou during the Treaty of Guangzhou and a ceasefire is ordered in Taipei. Moo-hyun's plan is to focus on the Korean people and the Korean economy instead of the Chinese people and the Chinese economy. In case the Treaty of Guangzhou fails, the navy is upgraded by 0.25. 

Federation of the Arabian Peninsula: Construction of the Nuclear Power plant in the ad-Dahna desert finishes. It is now in operation and provides power to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, as well as numerous small cities. Araby continues to be popular, and Maktoob wishes to enter talks of selling itself to Google. Gold continues to be mined in the Cradle of Gold for use as "Currency Bonds" to keep up with increasing popularity. Huge celebrations commence in almost every city in the Federation, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and Iran. A flag is planted outside the Dome of the Rock, but it is not of the Federation, it is a plain, green flag with a red rectangular border with the word "Allah" printed in large print in white. Great friendship is gained between Egypt, Syria and the Federation. However, many Coptic Christians begin to leave in substantial numbers in the Federation. We meet with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Shannon to discuss (force) the Treaty of Israel and Arabia on the terms of unconditional surrender.

Politicians considered to be under the influence of foreign powers begin to fall out of favor. We ask Germany, Northern Italy, Croatia, and Malta to renew the Central Alliance to ensure Switzerland’s security. We demand that officials of the Swiss Socialist Republic and Alpine Confederation governments in exile be immediately turned over to us to await trial.

UK/New Commonwealth: The UK begins the construction of joint bases to be operated by the New Commonwealth in Great Britain proper, Canada, New Zealand and Indonesia to facilitate faster response time for the joint forces of the Commonwealth. The UK uses NC funding for this. Continued research into faster and more effective personal computers is conducted as it increased sales for the UK's personal computer business. A large scale military drill is conducted and another it planned. The UK continues to influence the UAE and Kuwait and uses the increasing business influence to branch into other parts of the FAP.

Republic of California: Rebuilds damages from the conflict. We want to modify the Treaty of San Jose so the Communist government can continue their existence by giving the land north of the 37th parallel, in an effort to end the long feud between the two ideologies. Presidential elections begin, since the former president Margarita Perez was killed during the coup. North Italy: Surrenders.

Neo-Mughal Empire: The Empire accepts any refugees that make it to the nation. Mineral extraction, education and human rights efforts continue. Shipyards from earlier times are reopened and upgraded to fit modern ships. We accept Switzerland’s offer for an alliance, recreating the Central Alliance. We continue to influence Malta, Croatia and the new Swiss regime. We also ask for an alliance with the United Republics, Iberia and the United Kingdom.

There isn't a new Swiss regime....there is a start of a nationalist movement. But no change in government so far. 

United Republics: We continue research on the Mars Orbital Station, and elect to go down this path because another manned mission to mars would be much more costly in the long run, than a permanent Orbital Station. Improvements on the URSA Space Station are completed. Deep sea research continues as does research on Chemosynthesis. UR continues to influence Bolvia and Suriname, and expands influence in Honduras and El Salvador and the Southern Caribbean. UR continues to assist Cuba in its effort to restabilize and continues to rebuild the San Diego and Bay Area zones awaiting the Treaty of San Jose. UR continues to assist in Modernization of the Three Indian Republics and continues to become closer to Goa. Further economic ties are built with Singapore. Florez continues to personally improve the Brunei economy. More troops continue training as reserves bolstering the amount of reserves by another 20,000. Research continues on efficient energy delivery. High Speed Rail to Rio de Janeiro is completed. Pit Bull and Enrique continue to rise in popularity. Nicaragua: Continues to build the Costa Rica - Nicaraguan canal. It is expected to be finished within the next year. Shipping lines are informed of the progress. 

Sul: Defenses and energy continue to be the focus. Development continues on high speed rail research. Soccer takes more stages in popularity and many stadiums begin renovations as the quality of the league improves. Spanish and Rio Platanese continue to flood the region. Small movement for UR nationhood begins.

Iberia: Continues to aid in the rebuilding of Senegal and Switzerland. The Swiss people are reminded of our friendship and aid in freeing them from their Alpine Socialist State masters, who exploited and stole the people's funds, forced them into labor, and forced military service to attack the French. Iberia continues to fund education and improves naval ships buying technology from the United Mediterranean. Trade increases with the United Republics. United Mediterranean: The Hybrid Wars continue as the cars continue to be sold across Southern Europe. The United Mediterranean signs the Treaty of Valencia. Aid is sent to rebuild Ligura, as well as Milan, regions damaged by the Northern Italian conflict. Because of this, relations are even further strengthened with Italy. Focus on tourism continues. The Vatican sends missionaries to orthodox Turkey.  Ships continue to be built and repaired. 

Aquitaine: Continues to build up a naval forces. Aid is sent to continue rebuilding Switzerland's industry and banking. The French Swiss are encouraged to support their current government.

With the help of the Congo and Uganda, the nation of Angola manages to establish a more stable government. Zombies and insurgents alike are rounded up and killed. The nations of the Congo, Uganda and Angola form an alliance against Rwanda and other states.

After numerous elections and government policies, the rebuilt, liberated Swiss cantons reform to create the Swiss Confederation, also known as Switzerland. A federal assembly is established in Bern from the old structure and the transitional government established by Iberia.

Uproar is quelled following the decision to separate the Netherlands from South Africa. The Netherlands still remain heavily tied to South Africa politically, despite public opinion, and the government hopes to establish peaceful trade.

After a slight rise in nationalism over the last few years, a period that many begin to refer to as Decolonization begins. Many in Europe feel that the days of massive empires to ensure stability and anti-Zombie efforts are over, and many call for the peaceful release of liberated, vassalized and otherwise occupied areas to form local governments. From now on, as a global, general trend, decolonization ideology begins to rise.

After recent blunders in North Italy, the current regime becomes heavily out of favor. Many in favor of a unified and decolonized Italy begin calling for unification with the government in Rome.

Despite General Bao’s capture, massive resistance from the former Chinese Confederacy still remain. Chinese officials demand the creation of a Chinese republic free from Korean rule. We will allow Israel to remain an independent nation with autonomy in the Federation, but we divide it into two nations, Israel and Palestine. We decide that the entire province of Jerusalem will be jointly operated by the two nations, rather than just the city. Violence based on ethnicity or religion is strictly prohibited in Palestine and Jerusalem. With the inclusion of Israel and Palestine into our nation, and the fact that we are no longer confined to the political and geographical areas of the Arabian Peninsula, a small name change occurs to accomidate these new areas, and we now are The Federation of Arabia. With the inclusion of these new nations in the Federation, as well as their industries, population, and economies, our Industry score increases by 0.25. Rebuilding begins in Palestine and Israel, with strict background checks being conducted on Muslim construction crews, soldiers, and civilians aiding in the reconstruction to prevent violence. We continue to influence Egypt and Syria, and request that Egypt joins the Federation due to our aid in the New Arab-Israeli War, and cite how it will greatly grow their economy.

Burma: We have completely removed any extra forces at the Burma-Vietnam border and we are asking Vietnam to do the same, we haven't heard of any plans to remove your extra forces away from our border so we are naturally becoming curious as to your peaceful intentions. We are trying to continue improving our CEP and we are currently designing a new model, the "MG 012 Light Harvester" this new model will hopefully be three times as powerful as the previous model and will cost the same as an average "FR 087 Solar Farm". We are hoping to use this new technology in an attempt to bargain an alliance with any countries willing to follow a similar fashion by sharing some of their technology with us.

Cascadia: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is released to the public. The game quickly becomes a best-seller. Work on a new game, Jade Empire, is set to enter full swing later this year. The economy of Cascadia improves.

Appalachian Federal Republic: The government turns over the five older Gearing-Class destroyers to the Federal Republic of Socotra. 12 F-12 jets are built, and an upgraded version named the F-12B is launched with six jets being built. 12 F-4A jets are given to the FRS. 

The government builds another hydroelectric dam to supply electricity to Pittsburg. Repairs are completed in State College and the government moves back there from the temporary capitol of Erie.

Federal Republic of Socotra: The government forms and begins to transfer power from the AFR military to the FRS home government. A National Guard is formed and a Coast Guard is formed. The Navy upgrades by 0.25. All military industry is under the AFR military jurisdiction along with bases and personnel, but civilian industry is under the FRS law and taxes.

UK: The UK continues military drills and also continues large scale high tech industrial development. Continues to Influence UAE and Kuwait. Industry is upgraded to 3.5.

Russia: After much discussion at the State Duma and the Federal Assembly, President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin has stated that we are only willing to take back East Prussia if it is only done in a peaceful manner and will not be accepted back if any war occurs. Following the purchasing of Maktoob from the Federation of Arabia, stocks vastly increase as upper-class citizens heavily invest into Google’s stocks. Uralvagonzavod, has completed prototype testing on the T-95, which is able to withstand any type of round, including ammunition more powerful than the American SABOT, ATGMs, HEAT, HESH, APFSDF, and many anti-tank weapons as well such as the RPG-7, RPG-27, and the SMAW. Designers at Uralvagonzavod state that is the most armored tank that has been made up to this date due to its mixed composite armor design mixed with ERA. All T-95 tanks are also applying all Arena ERA upgrades, which is an advanced reactive armor system made in the mid-90s. Arena ERA applies the use of radar with the reactive armor, when the radar detects munitions being fired upon the tank, a steel plate is launched from the side of the tank to intercept the anti-tank munitions heading towards the vehicle. This makes Arena the most advanced armor system on the market and is starting to be applied to all of our tanks. The testing of the passive abilities for the T-95 have gone into complete success, snorkel gear allows the tank to move underwater at a maximum depth of seven meters instead of five, with a maximum speed of only four miles per hour. Other key features that are being included are the EMP systems that were on the T-90, which allows the safe disarmament of electric triggered IEDs or mines. A new multipurpose round has also been developed for this tank called the Universal Kinetic Explosive Piercing Strike Round, or UKEPSR in which many like to call, the UPKEEP for short. The round consists of a depleted uranium tip which allows the easy piercing of any tank that contains more than a foot of composite armor, when the round strikes and pierces the armor of its target, a jet of molten copper is shot out, which can kill the crew and disable all components of the tank in a matter of a second. While this is all occurring, an explosion similar to that of the HESH round occurs on the outside; actually tearing the tank apart internally and externally in case the round doesn’t completely pierce the armor (It will still have the HESH like explosion even if the armor is pierced). Even though these features are used for the destruction of tanks, it will also provide a large explosion with a kill zone of seven square meters as part of the HESH like explosion. This round can also target helicopters with ease by using radar to determine if the round should detonate if any low flying airborne target is detected. This round is still in development, but should be into service within the next three months. However, the T-95 has gone into production, with one taking about two weeks to complete. Due to the fact that the Uralvagonzavod factory has an assembly capacity of more than 100 tanks at a time, about 600 tanks were made. About 6500 are planned for the Russian Armed Forces to maintain and about 10,000 when the T-90 has left service and is placed into storage. Testing at Sukhoi for the PAK FA has been completed but many new features are being added as for more testing. Stealth paneling is also developed to ensure this fighter maintains its claim for low radar detection. Iberia continues to bond as a nation as they continue their presence in the world. Talks of strengthening the Celtiberian Community begin, as a possible Southern France united front begins. United Mediterranean: Hybrid Car wars continue as they begin to lessen the cost as specialized manufacturing lines are completed. Focus on tourism continues. Soccer attendance continues to rise as more people become dedicated fans as now they have cheered for the teams all their lives. Ligura is implemented as a state and focus is on rebuilding that region. Appenine Agreement with Italy continues to assist both countries in becoming prosperous through trade. Green technology continues to be a focus and continues development. Trade increases with the UR, mainly for energy. Ships continue to be repaired and built to be sold to allied nations. Upgrades army by 0.25.

Sul: Continues to develop defenses and assist in building the high speed rail. Soccer continues to rise and Pitbull and Enrique make a large rise in the nation. In Africa, marketing of weaponized variants of the Zombie virus continue at alarming rates as defense forces from former West Africa have conducted black market raids. Black market trading of the virus has started to intensify in the former Islamic states of the Russian Federation, the Middle-East, and traces of the marketing of these weapons have been spotted within Turkey.

Authorities and eye witnesses in Russia living within Moscow have started to report many missing. Most of which were last spotted at The Bitsa Park of the Moscow Oblast.

Japan: Japan continues to build up the Self Defence Forces and infrastructure is improved. Some of the Maritime Self Defence Force still continues to patrol around Japan. Synthpop, Electro, Techno, and Trance continue to rise in popularity. The Republic of Kyushu continues to rebuild the island. Tatsunori Katsumata and ZUN begin working on two new Touhou games, Imperishable Night (no relation to the manga of the same name) and Phantasmagoria of Flower View. Chihei Hatakeyama's radio show/station, "A State of Trance" rises in popularity. Meanwhile elections are held and Sanae Takaichi of the Liberal Democratic Party wins the election. Russia: UKEPSR anti-tank round is now in full production and has been applied into all tanks of the Russian Armed Forces. The new T-95 tank is continuing production with 600 more being assembled. Development on the PAK FA continues as designers at Sukhoi continue to test the latest prototype, about two more have started to be assembled for further testing. At the Bitsa Park of Moscow, the FSB along with the Moscow Police has been sent in to investigate these reports of people missing. After weeks of searching the Bitsa Park, investigators have come upon a multiple dead bodies that were half buried and partially decayed. Autopsy reports state that these people were murdered by a blunt object that was later discovered to be a hammer. In each body, a vodka bottle has been brutally inserted into the victims’ skulls. Investigators have soon confirmed that a serial killer is on the loose within Moscow. Media outlets have started to report about the killings and this serial killer which many are calling him/her The Bitsa Park Maniac or The Chessboard Killer due to the fact that many victims were playing chess at the Bitsa Park. Police have been ordered to stay on high alert within Moscow. Industry has upgraded to 5.

Philippines: We continue to develop our economy and agriclture. We increase our trade output to gain better relations with other nations. The "Firefly I" gun is an assault gun being developed at this point in time and we hope to make it an automated system. This envolves it being able to reload itself through timing and hopefully automatically fire. The targeting will be controlled by man though. We want to make it an automatic gun for faster firing time and more accuracy and several other aspects. We test our Marecel stationary gun again and we have been ble to increase its blast radius to 450m. We are applying some electronic systems to the gun. We decide to place the gun near the Southern part of our nation. We continue to develop anti-naval guns and better ammo. Our mining out output is slowed this turn. We upgrade our army by 0.25.

What is this, a small atomic bomb? Do you realize how big that round would have to be? It wouldn't even be able to go a quarter of a km.

We spent like three years developing a single gun, it is enormous.

Do you realize how powerful and gigantic that gun would have to be make an explosion of nearly half a sq km? That's basically bigger than the US M.O.A.B and that itself is big enough to only be carried by B-52s. This implausible beyond the Philippines OTL military technological output and capacity. The only way that this would work, is if the warhead was nuclear, in which you do not have the research to produce such weaponry, or the international support to fund/allow it.

All right, I agree it is implausible, even for the time we have spent with the gun. I'll tone it down to 100 m.

100 sq m is still a really large warhead, at most it would be plausible just to have a kill zone radius of 15. If it did have an explosion of more than 15 sq m it would could only be transported by plane at that point by a massive bombers like the B-52 or the Tu-95. Also three years is little time to design something of such magnitude, the Philippines was never a large military state, this large arms race will only decimate your economy due to the fact that the budget of the Armed Forces of the Philippines is only about $2.9 billion dollars, so those two battleships that you have made has basically robbed you of your own budget for the military. I advise that you actually research of what your military is capable of making before you start something large, and also advise to stop this before you hurt your economy more. Due to the integration of the Israeli and Palestinian militaries, our army score increases by 0.25. Rebuilding continues in both Palestine and Israel, and all workers and volunteers are required to submit to excessive background checks to prevent any ethnic or religious violence. An outbreak of three Zombies occurs in a small town in the UIC, where they are quickly killed. Soon afterwards, a raid is conducted on an abandoned warehouse and the storage of illegal viruses in there is confiscated, and put into government storage. No suspects have been found or identified. The government of the Federation begins to ponder what exactly to do about confiscated viruses. At the next State of the Federation Meeting, the leaders of the various nations come together to decide that a facility should be built, and its only purpose is to be deep enough in the gorund and far enough from the population that the virus can be destroyed without fear of any outbreaks. Construction of such a facility deep in the Saudi desert begins, and it is modelled after missile silos, with it going 100 meters into the desert and the walls are re-inforced by concrete and steel. Three different rooms of decontamination must be passed before entering and exiting. Upon entering, facility operators and disposal crews will enter an elevator that will take them to the bottom of the 100m. Once they reach the bottom, they will transport the virus twenty-five feet down a corridor and into an incinerator room. The incinerator is a Plasma Incinerator and will reduce anything that is inside to ashes and atoms, killing the virus. The Plasma Incinerator has yet to reach the civilian market where it is estimated that it will reduce the size of garbage dumps to where they are unnecessary. Several survivor communities in central Mexico form together to form a unified Mexican state. A temporary capital is established in Culiacán. Many Mexicans begin to clash with Mayan settlers, who they believe are stealing Mexican land. Many unaffiliated raiders also begin terrorizing the far north, killing Mayan settlers near the Texan border.

It is discovered that a secret network of West African radicals had begun smuggling weaponized strains of the Zombie Infection into foreign countries. On 1st April 2004 US patrol boats seized a potential biological weapon smuggled among narcotics, heading for the east coast. On 3rd April 2004 a group of twenty-two individuals opened fire in downtown Rio de Janeiro before detonating an unstable weapon from an unmarked van. Within minutes dozens were killed, mostly from infection-based complications. Dozens more were exposed to the Zombie infection.

Following the terrorist attack that occured in Brazil nations across the globe are pressured to tighten borders and trade. The twenty-two individuals in Brazil, all of whom died initiating the attack, begin to be investigated to discover their motives.

Following Northern Italy’s surrender to Italy and the United Mediterranean delegates from all parties sit down for peace talks. Officials from Italy consider the option of Italian unification, or at the very least, annexation of Northern Italy.

A new nation known as the Republic of China is officially created, controlling the former lands of Wu and eastern China, with its capital in Beijing. The new nation is a member of the Taipei Pact and free of Korean vassalage.

A bomb detonates in State College outside of the FAP and Oceanian embassies. The National Guard is deployed and secure the locations. We will allow any nation hosting an embassy to deploy their armed forces to secure their embassy.

The FRS Socotra patrols the waterways between the FRS and Iran. Smaller patrol craft watch the borders of Socotra and between the islands. The AFR armed forces on the island mobilize 2400 soldiers and move two M1-McDade's, and three Humvee's. The AFR moves an amphibious assault task force.

Iran: After a coup e'tat in Iran by Islamic radicals, the new Irani president rises to power and declares himself the 12th prophet of Muhammad. They start to build up for military force against the Israelis and they begin to expand Iran's oil production and start to build nuclear power plants around Iran. Military is upgraded by 0.25. Secret: We decide to buy some of the Z-Virus strains and try to use them to create a new strain and we begin developing nuclear weapons.

We had also designed the gun to be a defence post and can not move effeciantly during an invasion process. We developed this gun purely to defend our nation to gain artillery dominance. The Marecel stationary can't fire far enough to reach any other nation positioned on the Philippines. We ask that The Commonwealth withdraw their fleets, as we do not wish to start any conflict and want to gain stronger relations between both our nations. We in particular do not wish to start a missile crisis again and we now look down on those days. We continue with farming development and the production of renewable energy sources such as solar farms.

Burma: We are sending a group of our leading Scientist to Chan Santa Cruz to show them how to increase the output of their solar panels. Even though this model is outdated in Burma, there is still 27% of our population using this model and we believe that it would be a massive boost in research for the Philippines Renewable Energy program. There is no way that you can possibly build a battlecruiser and this goes the same with the Philippines. Both of your military budgets are below three billion UD. It takes years to even design a ship of that scale with hundreds of millions of dollars being put towards the research of the design itself. A battlecruiser at this point costs more than your annual budget itself, so there is no way at all that you can even make the design without years of development (5-15; usual amount of time to design a ship of that scale) with your industrial capabilities and military techonology it would take at least a minimum of ten years to even design it, and at least three years to construct one. All talks about producing battleships will be considered research and designing of the ship as it simply implausible to design something that quickly. This message goes to the Philippines as well. You may have taken four years to build it, but you haven't taaken into consideration of the designing of it, so just think of those four years as the designing of it for now. Because the Philippines have started their arms race long before Burma, you will most likely finish designing it faster (About two more years) and have a minimum of three years to build it. Furthermore, keep in consideration your OTL military budget, as well as your tech scores. Because people have started making non-OTL weaponry (Weapons that have never been made in OTL), take into consideration, your industry tech score, army tech score and navy tech score. Reconstruction of Israel and Palestine continue, and due to no violence so far, background checks are less strenuous to allow for quicker reconstruction and more aid. The Prime Minister of the Federation is seen meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel in the neutral province of Jerusalem. A photo is taken of this by a random bystander, but before he can put the photo online, or distribute it to the media, his camera is confiscated by Federation soldiers upon his exit from Jerusalem. The photo is deleted, and his camera is returned. The point is prevent Muslim uprisings from such a photo. Construction of the facility for disposal of the virus continues construction and is nearly finished, with only work for the incinerator room needing completion. Propaganda encouraging acceptence of the new Jewish population is distributed and placed in commercials, radio broadcasts, newspapers, and magazines. Influence continues on Egypt and Syria.

With the Z-Virus in Korea we begin researching it under high security in a remote laboratory in order to look for a cure in case it breaks out once again. Funding goes in the Science and Medical department. The green energy program, education reforms and sales of LG, Samsung and Hyundai also continue.

United Republics: We continue to work on the Mars Orbital Station project. We complete preparation of rockets and loads for the launch. URSA Space Station continues to be upgraded as more of test for the new technology have ready for the launch. UR continues to study the sea floor, discovering many new creatures and continues research on chemosynthesis. It is discovered that many sharks have no cancer, and sharks are further researched by UR marine teams. Many pros of this would be UR defense, free trade, and better international representation, while still controling own domestic affairs. Venezuela continues its steps to nationhood, as many see the claim over Esquibo over for now. UR continues to implement better energy efficient appliances and delivery. Florez continues reforming the Brunei economy, in a similar manner to Singapore. However, a rise is predicted soon. The first Hybrid Cars come over from the UM. High Speed Rail continues to be constructed up both coasts. The Vatican sends more missionaries to Cuba and Central America. UR military and navy begins research on Unmanned Arieal Vehicles, mainly to use as portable radar. The Three Indian Republics continue modernization upgrading their industry by 0.25.

Iberia: Continues to strengthen ties to the UR through trade. Hybrid cars arrive from the UM. Focus continues on education. Stratigic defenses continue to be built throughout and along the seas. United Mediterranean: Hybrid Car wars continue as they begin to lessen the cost as specialized manufacturing lines are completed. Focus on tourism continues. Soccer attentence continues to rise as more people become dedicated fans as now they have cheared for the teams all their lives. Ligura is implemented as a state and focus is on rebuilding that region. Appinine Agreement with Italy continues to assist both countries in becoming prosperous through trade. Green technology continues to be a focus and continues development. Trade increases with the UR, mainly for energy. The Equality Party is founded by New Mexican refugees, and it quickly becomes the fourth most popular party. They put their support behind the Rezzurectionists secretly.

Rezzurectionist Republic of America (RRA): The RRA declares independence from the American Confederation. Deep in the Nevadan desert, a facility that manufactures the Zombie virus releases it to the government. Samples of it are sent on planes with spies to Dallas, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Moscow, Melbourne, Seoul, Tokyo, and Cape Town.

• Oceania: OFP receives a tip regarding it and Melbourne International Airport is locked down. However, all planes are allowed to land at the airport. Any planes from the North American Continent will now be thoroughly inspected for any traces of the virus.

However, we do not permit the authorization to inspect just yet until the right moment by any other power. Russia: Uralvagonzavod continue to produce the new T-95 tank. Radio communications disruption testing for Project: HAARP has begun at Franz Josef Land. Radio transmitters were set up within Franz Josef Land. After an hour of transmission HAARP has started - launching about 2.6 Megawatts of radio energy into the ionosphere, successfully jamming the radio transmitters. In another two weeks the weather modification testing started at Franz Josef Land, which ended up in a complete success after HAARP radio waves beamed up by HAARP have been discharged into energy resulting in a large storm on the island. Due to the island not having any population at all, the tests have not hurt anyone. Scientists have concluded that HAARP is completely operational now, and have also stated that the energy discharged caused by weather modification will be more severe in more tropical or desert-like climates. Following the terrorist attacks of Chechen rebels after a hostage situation at a school occurred police forces have been called in. After attempts to negotiate with the rebels for the releasing of the hostages, the GRU has sent Spetsnaz teams to deal with the rebels and save the hostages. Almost immediately, open revolt ensues, and white New Mexican immigrants storm Farmington. The military, mostly tied up in Nevada, does little to stop, and by June, most of Farmington is in flames. The Haskie Tower, a symbol equivalent to the American Statue of Liberty is razed to the ground. In the end, most residents of Farmington and eastern Dinetah flee southwest to the largely unclaimed regions around Flagstaff. The mob, which it is now discovered to consist of Rezzurectionists, former Las Cruces leaders, former Emancipators, Sonoran raiders, and other ne'er-do-wells that have plagued the Southwest since the Zombie War. Those who remain are infected with a new Zombie virus that makes them immune to all forms of Phalaxacortin. Durango is threatened next, with its industry and tech.
