Differences between Presidents in Vive l'Emperor and OTL:
Presidents are (from 1824 election) elected directly by popular vote.
There is no 22nd amendment. Presidents can be re-elected as many times as they like as long so they are in successive terms, Presidents can't be renominated after losing an election (like Grover Cleveland in OTL)
If the Vice President resigns or dies the President must nominate a successor within 20 days, the office of Vice President must always be filled (1826 reform).
