From 1870 until 1987 Germany was one of the world's most powerful nations, winning two wars and dominating world politics with the other superpowers of Soviet Russia and the United States of America.
History[]
In 1905 when war broke out between Sweden and Norway, the German Kaiser immediately sent aid to the Swedes who were able to quell the rebellion.
Germany found a powerful ally in the United States of America and during The Great War sided against Great Britain, France and the other allies.
When the former allies broke their adherence to the Armistice of 1918, the Grand Axis was revived and the USA and Germany supported each other in the The World War wherein Germany and the USA both made significant territorial gains and secured a more lasting peace with the Treaty of the Saarland.
The Scandinavian Union stood against Germany and squabbled over Denmark, capturing Copenhagen and other islands in the Ostersund Archipelago. Germany captured Denmark's mainland, however, and the area was hotly contested until Germany disintegrated following The Spasm.
Following The World War, relations with the USA chilled. In 1952 Germany founded the Friedensvertrag der europäischen Länder to rival the Kiev Accord and the North American Freedom Treaty Alliance.
Since The Spasm, Germany and the American statelets have been close allies against nuclear weapons, nonetheless maintaining their own stockpiles against the remnants of Russia.
