Connexion, French for Connection, was the French policy of reuniting long lost French groups into France. This was enacted mainly after the French rearmed the Champagne Region in the north. The policy had started with the Champagne Region but it spread. In Louisiana, a fascist coup in 1937 toppled the democratic regime overthrowing the then current government. Louisiana quickly armed up with French equipment. Elsewhere France crushed several revolts in its colonies. Connexion was also the death blow to France as its over ambition started the Third World War in 1938 to its invasion of Catalonia and Basque against Spain.
Rearmament of Champagne[]
Germany had after WWII ordered that France not put any troops in the region known as Champagne. The area had been home to brutal fighting in both world wars earlier especially in the carnage of the Western Front in Trench Warfare.
