Natori (名取市) is the capital city of Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. It has a population of 1,105,461.
The city was originally formed in 1865, and soon grew into a small city. Eventually by 1958, the small city of Sendai had merged into Natori, thus making Natori a larger city.
