History[]

Japan originally took Alicante (part of Spain) as their own shipping port, but soon the city became colonised and over time, more of lower Spain became colonised. In 1789 the Spanish had declared war against Japan (and China) and that war began to over-lap with the Napoleonic Wars. Soon in 1805, France invaded Spain and with-in a week, Alicante fell to France. However, the French fought alongside with the Japanese and Chinese and soon the Spanish were heavily defeated. In 1850 Hirakawa had declared independence from Japan. It stayed neutral in the First World War, though in 1923 the Fascist-Imperial Party took power in Hirakawa. Soon, Hirakawa joined the Second World War on the Axis side though it was invaded first in 1944 by the allies and it fell by 1945. After the war the Fascist-Imperial Party was banned for good, as is other Fascist parties. In 1960, the Extremaduran language saw a huge rise in number of speakers, as the Extremaduran people remained peaceful and made peace with the Japanese, unlike most of the other ethnic groups of former Spain. By 1990, there was little to no evidence of Spanish civilisation left from former Spain, however Extremaduran culture had some additions from former Spanish culture.

Hirakawa joined the European Union in 1989 and adopted the Euro in 1999.
