Melanesia (Concert of Europe)

Melanesia (from Greek: μέλας mélas "black" and νῆσος nēsos "islands") is a region of Oceania, comprising a vast number of islands and islets in the southeastern Pacific Ocean, between Polynesia to the east, Micronesia to the north, Southwest Asia to the west and Australasia to the south.
