History[]
Yugoslavia was mainly under control of the Ottoman Empire up until 1682, when Rumelia declared independence. For a while, Yugoslavia remained a part of Rumelia up until 1918 when they declared independence. Yugoslavia after the Second World War also soon became an economic powerhouse. Eventually, in 2008 Yugoslavia joined the European Union and adopted the Euro sometime in 2012.
