New England always had rebels. They realized that places such as Vinland were doing very well at the time, and wanted to have a successful country like them. In 1407, a group of rebels attempted to attack the capital of England, but did so unsuccessfully. This allowed the English to have reasons to heavily tax and restrain the New English. But this, of course, caused the rebel problem to skyrocket even higher. By the 1490's it had already escalated to full-out war, which began the New England War.
