Flags are light pieces of fabric which are used to represent a nation. Nations may have multiple flags (and this is often the case) with a civil flag, naval flag(s), and other flags that represent various aspects of a nation.
Additionally, alliances and other international organizations can (and often do) employ flags to represent themselves.
