The Compromise[]

In 891,Marcus proposed a compromise with the Senate. It went like this,the Senate chooses the Emperors.The Emperors have complete power in the Imperial Provinces.The Senate picks governors of the Senatorial Provinces.The emperors can decide if they want to have a vote on Senatorial Status in an Imperial Province.The Senate must agree to this.The Emperors can propose more Senate-Caesar Compromises.The O'Reillys are the heredity governors of Breifne.In 893,the Senate accepted.

Effects[]

The immediate effect was that the Senate has more power.However in the long run,this allows more democracy.Marcus O'Reilly becomes very popular amongst the Senate and the People.

Aftermath[]

In 895,Sardinia et Corsica voted on becoming a senatorial province.The results were mixed, Sardinia voted to become senatorial whilst Corsica voted to remain Imperial.This allowed the previous governor to continue governing Corsica. However,he led the Corsican Revolt to return Sardinia.The revolt was crushed from within by the populace of Corsica.The Governor was killed.Due to there bring no governor,Marcus allowed the governor of Sardinia to become provisional governor of Corsica.

Babylonian Action[]

In 897,just after the revolt was crushed,Babylonia rebelled,supported by Parthia.In response,Rome crushed the revolt easly in 898 but signed the Treaty of Babylon making peace with Parthia and making Babylon a puppet state.

Lustanian Vote[]

In 899,Lustania voted on whether to become a senatorial vote the result was definitely no. But in the North a province was stripped of Senatorial Dignity via vote.
