The Free African Union, or the FAU for short, is a state located in Southwestern Africa. It was formed out of a coalition of smaller African states, banding together in response to Egyptian and Ghanese imperial expansion. It is the only full democracy in the African continent.
History[]
The Free African Union was formally created in the year 1871, initially as an alliance between a series of small African kingdoms. With the Egyptians to the East, and the Ghanese to the North, the kingdoms banded together in a military alliance, though it later evolved into an economic alliance. Eventually, under the leadership of Kwame Amare, the kingdoms were united into a single nation, deemed the Free African Union. Amare was later elected first President of the Union.
