Käwäshiro was a nation in South America. It was originally a Finnish colony until Käwäshiro declared independence in 1923. In 1994, it merged into the Federation of the Americas.

History[]

Käwäshiro was originally a part of Hanthawaddy until the 1828-1833 The Nippon-Hanthawaddy War. Finland aided Nippon a lot in the war, and after the war was over Finland obtained Hanthawaddy's former Venezuelan colony, in which it was renamed Käwäshiro. Since then, Käwäshiro had been under Finnish rule from 1833 to 1923. During Finnish rule, Shinto shrines were built and Hathawaddians were sent to Ngainkeha as well.

In 1921, Kirsi-Marja Miyako had become very popular, and soon was elected as governor of Käwäshiro. In 1922, she had done a number of speeches for pro-independence of the nation. After Empress Yuyuko Seppänen's death in Finland, Kirsi-Marja Miyako managed to declare the nation independent as the Democratic Republic of Käwäshiro, with Kirsi-Marja Miyako as Lingxiu (Leader).

Soon in Käwäshiro has helped both the USA (1927-1928) and Onguayal (1928-1933) in their wars to conquer the French Colony that was in South America. It was eventually conquered and was divided up between the alliance, in which Käwäshiro gained a bit from.

In 1943 special camps were created by Premier Kyösti Kitano for the captured French to work at. Then in 1944, execution of some French had begun in the camps as well.

Soon, in 1944, Premier Kyösti Kitano hired pirates and disguised Viking ships and begun to cause disruption in the Atlantic Ocean. Soon in 1948, some nations noticed the Viking ships and few spoke out against it, with Wonderlaand threatening to declare war. The response was the closing of the borders and increasing tensions.

In 1949, the Minsøist regime ended with the overthrow of the government and both Premier Jalmari Mäenpää and Lingxiu Kirsi-Marja Miyako were assassinated. Then Mauno Miyako was elected as Premier and Janika Erkkilä elected as President. The government soon became a Communist (Maunoist) One Party State. All the stuff from the Minsøist regime was purged.

In 1959, Premier Mauno Miyako begun the Suuri Harppaus as part of his plans to make the nation better. In 1962, the Suuri Harppaus plan had failed as the economy started to decline so he went back to the drawing board.

In 1964, Premier Mauno Miyako had released his book, Quotations from Premier Mauno Miyako nationwide and it became a best seller.

In 1968, Premier Mauno Miyako begun the Kulttuurivallankumous for his nation.

In 1972 Aukusti Elo, created his own manga, Pinta-ala 53 (Area 53) and the main character is Flandre Scharlaken (otl Flandre Scarlet, though without the wings, and with very dark blueish hair), a secret agent that is anti-Communist, and the manga features many anti-Communist ideals among other things. It became banned but remained popular with the democratic movement in Käwäshiro.

In 1974 Mauno Miyako officially ended his Kulttuurivallankumous plan throughout the nation. Then in 1975 Mauno Miyako had died. A month later, the Gang of Four - Aina Miyako (last wife of Mauno Miyako), Eero Eskola, Ahvo Oiva, and Jere Määttä - along with Communist General Chiam Nurmi were arrested by the police and were also condemned by President Emma Aoyagi, new Premier Eevertti Nakamori, and the Käwäshironian government for the worst excesses of the societal chaos that ensued during the Kulttuurivallankumous itself.

From 1990 to 1993 the Käwäshironian Civil War took place, with the Underground Democratic Movement (with Federation of the Americas and Scandinavian backing) and the Käwäshironian Communist Party. It resulted in a victory for the Underground Democratic Movement.

Finally in 1994, Käwäshiro merged into the Federation of the Americas.

Culture[]

Official language is Finnish, Japanese and Nirandogo (にらんど語; a fusion language that mixes both Finnish and Japanese). For religion, Shintō and Finnish paganism is main, and Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism are tolerated. Christianity and its variants and Islam and its variants is fully banned and anyone caught practising it will be executed on the spot. Foreigners and tourists are not excluded from the rule as well.

Crime in Käwäshiro mainly comes from the Käwäshironian Cartels, and they continue to be one of the problems for the nation.
