History[]

Intailyy the city was inhabited by Native Vinlanders and when English settlers landed on Manhattan they purchased it from the native Vinlanders for a modern day equivalent of 20 New Holland Dollars. The island grew quickly until the war of 1810 when it came under control of the Kanatian military and began setting up bases particularly on Bedloe Island in the Harbor. The city began facing violent attacks between New Holland freedom militias and the Kantian army. Following the creation of the Free New Holland Regiment they began occupying Manhattan forcing Kanata to send Amry rangers to take back the Island. After the end of the Second Great Vinland War Kanata left the island and in 1927 Kanata gave the Statue of Independence to the people of New Holland and was placed in central park where it still remains. Industry began moving to New York following the stock market crash as rural communities suffered. The Holland building was built in midtown Manhattan and finished construction in 1940.
