History[]

The Bavarian-Munchen Principality[]

The Bavarian-Munchen Principality is a member state of the Holy Roman Empire along with following states of Brandenburg and Austria. It was founded from civil disarray in 1450 A.D when King Andreas Kribt the First united all the Houses under one rule in hopes of forming a long lasting united Bavaria. Bavaria was also one of the instrumental aids in Uniting the Holy Roman Empire along with its vassal, Wurttemberg. Bavaria supported Austria in the War of Imperial Succession and helped turn the tide in the favor of the Empire.

Grand Duchy of Bavaria-Wurttemberg[]

In 1453 the Grand Duchies of Bavaria were born by unification of the nations of Bavaria-Munchen and Bavaria-Staubing. 1454 saw the unification of all Bavarias. 1455 saw the Bavarian-Wurttemberg compact, the alliance and protectorate agreement that added Wurttemberg to the land.

Reorganization into the United Kingdoms of Bavaria and Thuringia[]

After annexing both Baden-Wurttemberg, the two Kingdoms of Bavaria and Thuringia decided an effort to keep Bavarian lands out of heretic hands, Bavaria and Thuringia united as two nations that share the same government.

Great Patriotic War for Independence[]

After many years of ineffectual leadership within the HRE and the growing threat of the Caliphate to the south, the UKBT declared independence from the HRE and fought for five long years until the Imperial Forces were forced to surrender after a failed push into Munchen.

The Age of Enlightenment and Bavaria[]

The 1700's saw the birth and growth of the age of industry and enlightenment in Bavaria. The music world was revolutionized by the inventions of the klaviertone (piano) and the works of Johanne Ambrosius (ATL Johann Sebastian Bach). Innovations abounded with the inventions of the Periodic Table, the growth of Industry, including a perfected air furnace. The Age of Enlightenment saw the freedom of the serfs and slaves alike as well as the growth of the middle class and the increase of knowledge, thanks in large part toward the progressive policies of the Reichstag in opening education up to all and including advanced schooling. This age also gave birth to the Pax Bavaria, an almost 20 year period of peace and growth not seen since the abandonment of the old HRE.

Bavaria and the Germanic Union[]

The Empire of Bavaria was instrumental in the founding of the Germanic Unions along with Saxony and the Rhineland, as well as Brandenburgish Germany. The Union acts as the unilateral Federal force for Central and Eastern Europe, merging the three Germanies into a confederation of equal and semi-autonomous states that are allowed to control virtually every aspect of the nation, except also answering to the Union as a whole. (A version of the European Union, in essence). The Bavarian Bankgruppe founded the founding of a new European currency called the Reichsthlaler to replace the Adler and Mark respectively. The Union also declared unwavering support for any Germanic nation in distress. In 1743 Bavaria answered this call on the behalf of the Union to protect German cantons of Switzerland from foreign French influence.

The Fall of the German Union and the War of German Unification[]

The Empire attempted to keep the Union from failing but In the 1750's the Great Stellockian Wars happened when the German Union nation of the Rhine invaded its fellow Union members, The General Strellock seized power in the Rhineland and declared himself the Emperor of Germany. The war that insued marked the decline of the Union, while the war was won, the Union was left in ruins. Then in 1772 the Union officially collapsed and a year later war was declared between Bavaria and her long time ally-turned nemesis, Brandenburg. The war raged for almost a decade and destroyed the economies of the two nations. (TBC)
