The Siam-Burma Swahili colony now stretches all the way down south to that white nation.

BRITAIN[]

OK, I know I'm not the only one who thinks Britain is godmodding. How in the name of the Fourth French Empire did you take all that North American and African land? Why is everyone else joining Britain in their scheme to bring on Pax Britannica? France is the world's foremost nation right now, and Britain is only strong in Naval Strength. Also, it is very hard to colonize Alaska. And Kamchatka. Nominally, Kamchatka was Russian in 1805 and had Russian people there. But Britain went and claimed the whole area. I think we need to start taking a stand against this and start seriously controlling what happens in this game. Implausibility led to this game being restarted, I wouldn't like to see it happen again, when we've gotten so far.

I knew something was going on when all of Britain territories doubled in size, and I agree with you. The US also does not support Pax Britannica, and actually hates it, since America is practically surrounded by enemies. Enclavehunter 03:40, March 30, 2012 (UTC)

Basically, whenever DeanSims plays a map game, he totally wanks out his nation to being ridiculously overpowered unless he is stopped. This game, the moderators failed to stop him. LurkerLordB (Talk) 04:14, March 31, 2012 (UTC)

Issues[]

  • A REMINDER: Do not interweave alliances again!
  • Colonization and expansion: This needs to be brought up. I'm sure everyone notices that we are playing in the 1790s. Humanity wasn't a God back then. Technology was sub-par. So when it comes to colonization, we can't expect to colonize a large portion of land in less than 2 years. It just can't work like that. But I'm talking about colonization of the new world. If one is colonizing their own area (like Russia is doing currently, if I read properly), they'll have an easier time expanding, which is why I expanded it as much as I did. I really think we need to make a rule saying we can only expand so much. Colonization takes time, so that's why I shrunk Prussia's colony. And as I said, I want this as a rule, but I didn't feel right to just add it. ChrisL123 17:48, February 25, 2012 (UTC)
  • Thailand is a player nation, so it should have a color, and it is now in a very loose confederation with Burma, so Burma should have the same color. LurkerLordB (Talk) 01:55, February 27, 2012 (UTC)
  • Where is Burma on the map? IMPERIAL NY-SPQR 1 Syngraféas Enallaktikí̱ Istoría, Dic mihi lingua Anglorum. 03:59, March 1, 2012 (UTC)
  • Never mind, I fixed it myself. If this is against the rules, sorry, but it only affects my nation. LurkerLordB (Talk) 01:24, March 2, 2012 (UTC)
  • That small, white country, which borders Burma on the Bengal coast, is part of Burma now. LurkerLordB (Talk) 04:45, March 11, 2012 (UTC)
  • Japan's expansion into Vietnam, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and Borneo. Ownerzmcown 11:52, March 11, 2012 (UTC)
  • Why does France's colonies expand into America's? I had a colony around a small French colony, but then it disappeared due to the French expansion. Enclavehunter 23:58, March 13, 2012 (UTC)
  • Well, seeing that its France, it's the thing France would do. But America's colony is fixed. And logically, America would never have colonies because it just gained independence! What kind of revolutionary colony makes its own colony??????!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • How is that British Persian colony part of Britain? They can't get to it without going through Dutch lands!
  • They can come through from the East. And by the way, who said this? IMPERIAL NY-SPQR 1 Syngraféas Enallaktikí̱ Istoría, Dic mihi lingua Anglorum. 20:00, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

The Game[]

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

1792.0[]

  • China: The Qing Dynasty has entered a period of growth; it plans a government-funded 'trip' that has 200 merchant ships, which will go around the world, starting to South America, then to North America, then Europe, then the Middle East and Africa, then finally, areas around India; in an attempt to gather knowledge of the world, and modernize their military with those of great European Armies, people in China have heard from. The Empire of the Qing Dynasty has had small considerations of giving Korea its independence.
  • New Spain: The Viceroy begins a plan of expansion. They encourage the people to have more children and settle the unsettled areas of the Viceroyalty. They also send missionaries to convert people to Christianity. They begin to develop an industrialized economy.
  • Prussia: The king of Prussia marries the Duchess of Mecklenburg, uniting the two countries. The country prepares to establish colonies in competition with other nations. In order to protect the nation, the Prussian King proposes an alliance with Great Britain and a non-aggression pact with Austria.
  • Austria: The Austrians accept Prussia's non-aggression pact. Leopold VII grants the army right to more funding to make a more powerful army after the crippling Seven Years' War. Feeling defenseless, Austria asks for an alliance with Russia and maybe France (if monarchy is re-established).
    • Russia agrees, mainly because we are both Absolute Monarchists.
  • United States: American militia cripple the Whiskey Rebellion, and begin the search for the leader. Realizing that America is surrounded by hostile threats, declares neutrality and Congress authorizes the creation of the United States Army and Navy, and request to purchase Florida from Spain for a reasonable price.
  • Russia: Russia begins building up its military. Settlers begin to move Eastward after the government begins encouraging citizens to start up their own farms. Land is made less expensive if you have joined the army, so this helps the government and agriculture. After seeing the Revolution in France, people are banned from traveling there. Also, information about the revolution has been banned.
  • Spain: Spain agrees to the US' offer, giving Florida but the Keys for a low price. Spain sends troops and ships most of its Vice royalties, including New Spain and Chile as well as the Pyrenees. The Spanish King hires a liberal official, Francisco de Saavedra, as the new "prime minister" of Spain, demoting the Count of Floridablanca to a lower, if still prestigious, position. Saavedra's first decision is to begin a literacy and education program in both Spain and the Americas, as well as limiting the price of bread. However, these plans are delayed some years by the high cost of arming and maintaining Spanish troops.
  • Río de la Plata: The Viceroy Gabriel de Avilés y del Fierro is very popular at the time, and his efforts to improve the everyday life of the rioplatense citizens and even the tribes have made him a good reputation. Now his more interested in prepare the vice royalty for a possible attack if the King is planning to declare war on France or even if the barbaric republic new french government plans to invade Spain and expand their dominion of the common ones. The ports of Buenos Aires and Montevideo are built up, stronger defences are raised in the outskirts of the towns and some militia corps are trained and mercenary tribes are localized, but not yet called to arms.
  • Dutch Republic: William V of Orange begins his attempt to build up and train the Dutch army and navy, while maintaining a neutral stance. Tariffs are being raised to help finance this move. In addition, The Stadtholder makes a request to Prussia for officers and advisors to help in its training. This policy of military buildup is also spread to its colonies in Cape Colony, Ceylon and the East Indies, but in a much smaller scale, rather focusing on autonomous self-management by the Dutch East India Company.
  • Chile: Spanish Governor Ambrosio O'Higgins continues his effort for expand the territory to the. For this, he manages to make deals with the Mapuches, who lived and controlling the territories beyond the Bio-Bio river, allowing him to send expeditions for built new cities. Also, he care about the needs of the population in education and health. Troops sent by Spain are received.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Empire ends the current Russo-Turk War and start seeking other territories in Africa and Asia. It starts invading the Arabian peninsula. By the end of the year, though, it has conquered less than one-sixth of the area.
  • Portugal: expands its African colonies and more Portuguese emigrate to Goa were the docks are expanded to allow for the increased flow of ships
  • Siam: King Rama of Siam fears that his nation may be a target for the Europeans in their colonization, and thus promotes trade with the Europeans. He has his grandson, Jessadabodindra, betrothed to the oldest daughter of the Burmese ing Bodawpaya, in hopes of bringing those two nations closer together.
    • Qing (China) Diplomacy: It offers Siam free trade agreements, in hope of bonding Siam and China, and warns it that Siam should limit trade with European Nations, as greedy European nations, seeing what Siam can offer, may even make them more encouraged to attack Siam with no sense of justice. But, they also warn to not close down trade with Europe too much.
    • France: Our king has stated that the monarchy he have will not last much longer because our people are revolting against the king and they will probably kill him if necessary so he makes the army wait in front of the castle for a revolt.
  • Japan: The Shogun of Japan, Tokugawa Ienari, dies mysteriously in his sleep, but without a proper heir the Rōjū take over temporarily as the leaders of Japan. They temporarily give the Emperor of Japan, Kōkaku, expanded military powers, along with a greater diplomatic role. He sends King George III of Britain a message, asking for a trade agreement, thus beginning the opening of Japan. He also asks for a formal personal meeting between the two monarchs.
  • Britain: Colonial expansion in Africa, Canada, Australia, and India continues. 35,000 troops are sent to a secret undisclosed location

1792.5[]

  • Britain: Colonial expansion in Africa, Canada, Australia, and India continues. An additional 15,000 troops are sent to the same location as the first 35,000, which just so happens to be Canada. Britain declares war on the United States of America and invades Maine, New York, OTL Ohio and Michigan, and all territory bordering British Canada. British troops land in the Chesapeake Bay and march on Washington DC and take the city, capturing the Congress and the President, George Washington, and the British threaten his execution if the United States does not surrender to the British Empire, the Americans are promised that their independence will be kept. British troops finish up the occupation of northern New England and New York as well as northern OTL Michigan Territory, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. A blockade of the American coast is established, ruining American trade.
    • It would be very implausible for them to take all of that in half a year. This is why I don't like it when Map games go by half-years, everyone goes too fast..
  • Qing Dynasty (China): The Large Merchant Fleet reaches Spain's colony of Chile, and offer Spain as a whole, a trade agreement, opening all Chinese, and Spanish port to each other. The Chinese Merchant Fleet lost 2 ships after rough sails, they pick up 4 young men, which are experienced in history and language of Europe, and have told the Admiral to go up north, that there is a nation called the United States of America, as they go there, Chinese sailors are charting a map. The Qing Emperor, a young man with a fear that the European powers will attack Qing, or any other close nation, offers Japan, Siam, a military pact, stating, if any European power attacks any of the three nations, the other two will support the nation being attacked in any way possible. In military matters, Qing scholars from Europe, speak of the advances of gunpowder, cannons and ships, which has greatly interested the young Qing Emperor.
  • Spain, surprised at China's opening, agrees to the request. It also thanks Rio de la Plata but declares it doesn't wish to go to war with France. Spain begins working its literacy program.
  • The Viceroyalty of Río de la Plata is still improving its military efforts. New fortifications are built in Buenos Aires and Montevideo, and a little fleet is built in the rivers, and the internal trading is improved. The viceroy wants to augment the trade with Chile. The troops sent by Spain are sent to help the militias to protect the cities.
  • Prussia: The Prussian military invades into Patagonia, establishing a colony after negotiations with the Mapuche natives. They increase fortifications on the Falkland Islands. The navy begins to build up.
    • That not appears in the map, but the Falklands (AKA Malvinas) are still Spanish. They're part of the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata since 1776, its own foundation. If you invade the islands, you're declaring war on Spain, unless you convince Spain to sell them to you.
  • The United States request a ceasefire (Takes place on the talk page), a young captain from the American Army, Andrew Jackson, begins building fortifications in South Carolina, with cannons being placed at the sea, and a massive barrier is built around Charleston, the temporary capital of the United States until the ceasefire takes place. Jackson also recruits American militia men, pirates, tradesmen, and the Cherokee Indians to defend Charleston from the British.
  • Chile: Governor O'Higgins he order to duplicate the efforts to raise cities in the south and to enlist more men to the militias. He agree with increase the trade with Rio de la Plata and the roads toward there are improved.
  • 'The Ottoman Empire:' The Empire starts moving south and east. War is declared on Persia.
  • New Spain: Gold is discovered in New Mexico and California, causing massive immigration northward. The government hopes to develop industry in the region to make the economy strong.
  • Siam strengthens its alliance with Burma, placing Burma under its protection against any European colonialism.
  • Dutch Republic: The Dutch East India Company begins a colonial expedition west from the Cape of Good Hope. This leads to conflict with the native Zulu populations. Meanwhile, the Dutch government at home condemns the British war with the United States, claiming it to be a violation of Article 2 of the Treaty of Paris of 1783. As a result, English ships are forbidden to trade in Dutch ports until peace is made "status quo ante bellum." The Dutch continue to expand its Navy, in the event of a British retaliation.
  • Portugal: Continues to expand their African colonies and opens up a trade port in OTL New Guinea.
  • Russia: People continue to move East after the government keeps up the subsidies for land there. The Military begins to notice an increase in recruits and thanks the new program for these increases. The population out in the East is still low, but it is growing. Small workshops are being set up along rivers that will make goods at a cheaper price. The number of these shops are low, but they have increased in the Moscow region, and so as part of a new infrastructure canals are being dug toward that area.

1793.0[]

  • Britain Colonial expansion continues in South Africa, Canada, Australia, India, and the newly established colony of British Colombia. The Army, Navy, and rest of the military continues to be modernized and expanded. Britain establishes a colony in OTL Namibia and Madagascar as well as in Anchorage (OTL), and near Seattle, Washington (also OTL). Britain proposes the Treaty of London to end the war with the USA:
  • Sims, why did you edit your move so you established more colonies? I don't think your supposed to do that.
  • last time I do that

The Treaty of London

  • The USA will cede OTL Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Minnesota to the United Kingdom. The USA will be compensated.
  • The United Kingdom will cede Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to the United States.
  • The United States must not expand past this treaty’s borders until 1845 unless it is in a military/expansion venture with Britain.
  • The United States must NOT ally with France, Russia, or any of those two nations’ satellite states.
  • The United States will not interfere in European affairs unless on a join Anglo-American mission in Europe or with the United Kingdom’s allies.
  • The United Kingdom will allow Native Americans in the USA’s territory to be moved into British land so as to increase American settlement in America’s lands and possessions.
  • All expansion before 1845 must be approved by the United Kingdom.

  • The United Kingdom will not expand into any American territory unless sold honestly and legally by the USA to the United Kingdom UNLESS the United States declares war on the United Kingdom, in which the United Kingdom will be forced to act.
Needed Signatures:

That whole treaty is implausible. The great George Washington would never do that. Nor would the Americans. And that land was undisputedly American according to the Treaty of Paris after the American Revolution! IMPERIAL NY-SPQR 1 Syngraféas Enallaktikí̱ Istoría, Dic mihi lingua Anglorum. 22:32, February 25, 2012 (UTC)

I'm saying it the second time, the Treaty of London is both implausible and in violation of the Treaty of Paris!

  • America: Many American settlers leave the new British territory, and settle along the border. George Washington and Congress is returned to Washington D.C. George Washington signs the Treaty of London, and later begins improvements to rebuild the Army and Navy, while Andrew Jackson is promoted to General at such a young age, becoming the world's youngest General, and continues to hold it. Settlers begin to move north into the new American states of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
    • British Diplomacy: The King of England officilay apologizes for having taken Washington hostage, and the King offers to compensate Washington with 45,000 British crowns, saying that Washington, "although a Yankee rebel, deserves repect as on of the greatest military commanders of out time, and the father of his beloved American republic."
    • American Diplomacy: Nah! keep your money, Washington is safe, and that's all what matters to America.
    • British Diplomacy: Britain then offers to donate the above said amount fo money to the American government to help pay off its war debts, as the king feels something must be done to compensate the horrendous ttreament of Washington, and if he will not accept it then maybe his government will.
    • American Diplomacy: Agree.
    • Implausible again. IMPERIAL NY-SPQR 1 Syngraféas Enallaktikí̱ Istoría, Dic mihi lingua Anglorum. 22:32, February 25, 2012 (UTC)
    • If Washington was captured (which is very unlikely), a great amount of compensation would be expected by the Americans upon. And the Americans would pay huge ransoms if Washington was captured. IMPERIAL NY-SPQR 1 Syngraféas Enallaktikí̱ Istoría, Dic mihi lingua Anglorum. 18:18, February 26, 2012 (UTC)
  • Russia: Russian settlers continue moving East, and more recruits join the miltary after the promise of cheaper land. The canals that are being built toward Moscow continue on in construction. The supply of water for the workshops and the population rises, helping the economy, and providing Russians with jobs and a steady source of tax revenue for the government.
  • Portugal: Expands deeper into Africa and sends expaditions as far north as the Congo. The Portuguese colonial army and navy are expanded to protect Portugals overseas interests.
  • Austria: The Austrian increase of the military increases. The government plans to finally invade and annex the Republic of Venice, to have an easier route to travel if they ever need to repel the French rebels again, but nothing is set in stone yet.
  • Prussia: The army expands farther into Patagonia, now covering a fair amount of the coast. The army is massed outside the border with Saxony. The government declares that the state of Prussia (not the country) is a German state, and that it will fight to the death to preserve it.
  • Dutch Republic: The Dutch expands eastward from the Cape of Good Hope, moving to send settlers into the Natal. The Dutch government proposes an alliance will fellow Protestant nation Prussia in hopes that it will prevent a possible invasion from either Austria or the French revolutionaries.
    • The Dutch are asked if the UK can buy their South Africa colony, in return the British will recognize the Dutch colony of New Holland in Australaia and cede the surrounding land to the Dutch.
    • Prussian Diplomacy: Pussia accepts the alliance proposal and suggests that the Netherlands might one day have a monarchy like the majority of nations.
    • Dutch Diplomacy: The Dutch accepts the purchase of the Cape Colony in South Africa and recognize the transfer of the land around New Holland to the Dutch. We will also take Prussia's suggestion of transitioning to a monarchy into consideration.
    • British Diplomacy: The Dutch are thanked for selling South Africa to Britain, and the promised land is vacated by British troops.
  • New Spain: More and more people continue to pour into New Mexico and California due to the discovery of gold. They also begin settlement of the Great Plains to make it a bread basket for New Spain. The economy continues to expand. Hopefully that no one would notice, they begin expansion into the Oregon Country.
  • Siam builds up its military and strengthens ties with Burma, entering a very very loose confederacy with Burma.
  • The Ottoman Empire: Moves further south and attacks Persia. The military begins to expand. (Am I allowed to do that?)
  • Yes, you can do that, but I would build up an army first. The BritIsh will aid you by sending 45,000 troops and blockading Persias coasts.
    • Dutch Diplomacy: The Dutch will also aid by allowing military access to our ports in Ceylon against the Persians.
  • Qing Dynasty: The large merchant fleet reaches North America, more specifically, Boston, and the men they picked up from the Spanish colony are surprised by hearing the results of the war, neverless, The Qing Dynasty offers The United States, and only the United States, trade agreements. Back in the mainland, hearing of deserters of the British Army in India, the Qing Emperor begins to learn of the ways European Armies fight, and begins to modernize his army in ways of fightings, and hopes to modernize his army technologically. It once agains offers Japan, a military alliance.
    • America accepts, and welcomEs Chinese ships.
  • Japan: Rōjū rule in Japan and re-establishing Imperial rule to Japan. He fashions his power on the strong emperors of Europe, taking complete control of the army, all diplomatic operations, and creating a cabinet of advisors. Originally he creates two advisor offices: the Foreign Minister and the Economic Minister, who would help him to rule the country. He agrees to the Chinese offer of an alliance, and continues the opening of Japan by allowing for foreign consulates to be established in Japan.
  • Spain: Spain begins offering citizens that move to Spanish North America lands so that population and food-produce in Louisiana improves. It also continues its literacy program.
  • Río de la Plata: The Viceroy continues fortifing the coasts and improving the trading within the viceroyalty. Some nationalists, like Cornelio Saavedra are starting to be important in the society. They encourage the prussians to start smuggling in the viceroyalty though their new colony in Patagonia.
  • Chile: Works for built a new road to connect the new cities of south with Santiago begin, while the local government focused efforts in increasing the literacy levels.

1793.5[]

  • Britain Colonial expansion continues in South Africa, Canada, Australia, India, British Colombia, Namibia, Madagascar, Anchorage, and Seattle. The Army, Navy, and rest of the military continues to be modernized and expanded. 45,0000 troops are sent to help the Ottoman Empire in case of war with Persia.
    • Ottoman Diplomacy: thanks the British and Dutch for helping in the campaign against Persia.
    • 25 of the latest British Naval vessels are en route to blockade Persia, and will be in position when you declare war.
  • Ottoman Empire: Ends military expansion in the south. The now built up army is fully preparing for war with Persia. Fortifications are built along the border.
  • Prussia: Prussia manages to establish a small amount of land after signing some treaties with the Mapuche natives in South America. The Prussian king suggests a conference with Chile and Rio de Plata to decide on colonization in the area. Many more settlers are planning on going there next year when they hear stories of Silver mountains there.
  • United States: Deportation of Seminole Indians in Florida begins, and takes them to British Canada. The Cherokee Indians are given equal rights as the settlers, since they helped in the War of 1793. George Washington resumes presidency, and the rebuilding and expansion of the Army and Navy, and the Marines Corps is established. America would like to purchase the Key West from Spain for a reasonable price.
    • British Diplomacy: Britain must first approve the purchase, but seeing as they were part of Florida in the first case, Britain will accept their transfer to the USA.
  • Siam continues to advance their economy and modernize their military. They increase ties with Burma, with the loose confederation even tighter now. Can Siam and Burma receive a color on the map?
  • yes
    • Dutch Diplomacy: The Dutch Republic is offering a Treaty of Friendship and Trade. In this treaty, the Dutch Republic will guarantee Siamese independence and will continue to respect its foreign policies in Southeast Asia. In addition, the Dutch wish to set a trade agreement between the Netherlands and Siam.
    • Siam and Burma: Will sign the trade treaty as long as the Dutch guarantee not to try to colonize either of them. They promise not to interfere with Dutch settlement in Southeast Asia as long as it doesn't take any Siamese or Burmese lands.
    • Dutch Diplomacy: The Dutch will honor the Siamese guarantee, we will agree to respect each others sovereign territories.
  • Russia: More settlers head out East, and new towns on the frontier are starting to rise in population. The military has gotten a large amount of recruits thanks to the new land programs. The canals in the Moscow region continue to be built, with a few already done, helping the new workshops. To help transport these goods, roads are being built as well, however to pay for these, toll booths are being established at certain points to collect funds for the cost of building them.

1794.0[]

  • Siam and Burma continue to prepare their militaries for some coming conflict which they assure all other nations will not be against any nation that doesn't border Burma or Siam (and they won't attack China or any European colonizers either). Meanwhile, Theravada Buddhist missionaries begin leaving Siam and Burma and traveling across the world looking for converts.
  • Japan: The Imperial Japanese Army crosses the Tsugaru Strait and begins the final conquest of Hokkaido. With this first movement, the Emperor also orders the expansion of the Imperial Japanese Navy beginning with the building of 20 ships-of-the-line.
  • Prussia: The country continues its colonization efforts in South America, with large numbers of settelers arriving. Expansion follows, but is held in check by some Mapuche Indians. The government tries to strenghten relations with other German nations, but only succeeds with the northern ones.
  • Spain: Spain declares its intention of attempting to arrange Spanish Viceroyalties-Prussian borders in Patagonia. Encouragement for population growth and moving to the least populated colonies is encouraged, as is the literacy program. By the end of the year, schools are popping up in several places and the literacy is rising dramatically.
    • Prussian Diplomacy: Prussia agrees with this plan and suggests that Spain makes the first offer.
    • Spanish diplomacy: Spain offers the Rioplatenses and Chileans the opportunity to make the final offer towards Prussia, but offers as a provisional resource the northern border of OTL Río Negro. It also will allow Prussia to trade in Rio de la Plata if the Rioplatenses so wish.
    • Prussian Diplomacy: Prussia agrees to the offer, but requests that the line also be drawn straight to the Pacific.
  • The Viceroy of the Río de la Plata seems to agree with the King, but the people, mainly the self called Party of Independence, hardly disagree, stating that they were the first ones in colonize the continent (they mean the rioplatense people, not Spaniards). The cities are fortified with new cannons to defend from invasion by sea.

  • The Ottoman Empire: The War is declared on Persia. The blockades by the Dutch and British are expected.

The USS Constitution and USS Michigan, under the former part of the US Northwestern Territory, is laid down, and is expected to be completed in 1795. West Point begins accepting cadets, while the US Naval Acadamy at Annapois is under construction. Foritifications in New Orleans, Baltimore, New York City, Charleston, and Savannah begin.

  • United States: The USS Constitution and USS Michigan are completed and launched from Norfolk, Virginia. The Constitution is named the flagship of the South Atlantic Fleet, and is nicknamed "Old Ironsides" after engaging a pirate fleet, and the cannonballs bounced off the size. The fortifications in New Orleans, Baltimore, New York City, Charleston, and Savannah is expected to be finished by 1795. The US would also like to purchase a man-of-war from Britain for a reasonable price.
  • Siam and Burma attack the small coastal nation to the southwest of Burma. They outnumber them greatly and have better technology, so many predict the war will last only a year. The Theravada Buddhist missionaries continue to travel about the world. They are successful in many places as unlike Christianity or Islam, they don't replace the native beliefs, just add to them. One travels to the United States, and asks exactly how far the policy of religious freedom goes.
    • American Diplomacy: Policy of religious freedom in the United States is that we allow any type of religion.
  • Japan: Japan continues its push on Hokkaido, and now most of the island has fallen under Japanese control. With this success the Emperor and his generals prepare for a future military thrust to expand Japanese military power in the Pacific. As this goes on the Japanese economy begins to gain steam as the new openness of Japan allows for the shipping industry to boom.
  • Prussia: Expansion continues in South America, and the king asks for a new treaty with Spain concerning the borders there. The colony now covers a large part of the Patagonian coast. Relations with the north german states continue to improve, and it appears likely that a north German confederation may be formed soon.
  • Spain: While Spain feels quite offended by the unauthorized trade agreement between New Spain and the United States, it realises that it is too popular to stop; furthermore, it is attempting to establish good relations with the American government. Literacy continues rising through programs as does population. Spain tells Prussia it would agree to its proposal but would like to get permission from Chile, since the south is already claimed as Chilean in the line Spain proposed.
    • Chilean Diplomacy: Governor O'Higgins expresses to the King that Chile want to preserve the south because is a strategic position for the empire interests. (Maybe we need a map)
    • Prussian Diplomacy: What we are thinking is that whate Chile has remains in Chile's hands, some of the northern part will be given to Rio de Plata, and the rest goes to the Prussians.
  • Dutch Republic: The Dutch Republic begins shelling the Persian coastal city of Bushehr, causing damage to their port facilities, and thus open them up for attack. The Dutch colonial possessions in Malacca open up to Buddhist Missionaries from Siam and Burma, and some of the natives begin to adopt them to their beliefs.
  • Russia: More Settlers head east in the hopes of cheaper land. The miltary is getting more recruits and paying these new soldiers in land. More workshops are being built in the Moscow region after a large amount of canals were built and finished. The miltary is also expanded.
  • New Spain: Population growth continues as settlement to the north increases due to free land and gold. THe economy continues to expand. New Spain asks Rio de la Plata for trading agreements. They continue expanding north of the Oregon Country. They tell SPain that why are they "offended". They also ask them if they can go colonizing wherever they want.
    • Spanish diplomacy: Spain notes that it used to declare where would trade be allowed and where would it not in the colonies. It also grants New Spain an area radius of 3000 miles northwest of New Orleans (up until Alaska) and 3,300 miles around Philippines (until OTL Darwin, Australia and western India) to colonise freely (note: this was not much more than a land grant. I'm not claiming the land immediately, nor am I declaring it is colonised.)
  • Qing Dynasty: The large merchant fleet is hit by a hurricane while sailing to Europe, it loses 32 ships, and loses its tracks for months; they made it to Europe, and ask the Dutch Republic a trade agreement. Aside from that; the Qing Merchant Fleet anchored in Istanbul, and offered, on behalf of the Qing Dynasty, trade agreements, and a military alliance; they also asked for them to allow the Qing Merchant Fleet to travel to the Black Sea, to allow them to head towards Russia. In China, more intelligence of European style of fighting is learned, as a matter of fact, the Emperor made an order to modernize the massive Qing Army with European weapons; Chinese manufacture began the mass weapon producing, they came out cheap, and decent. China offers Burma and Siam a military alliance. The Emperor of the Qing Dynasty congratulates Japan due to their recent economic-boom.
    • Dutch Diplomacy: The Dutch Republic accepts the Qing's offer for a trade agreement.

1795.0[]

  • Russia: More workshops in the Moscow region have been built, and all canals that have been worked on there are done. Seeing as how many jobs these workshops provide, many small start up workshops in the villages and small towns of the nation are getting set up. More settlers head East and more towns are started up in the East. Towns like New Moscow are set up farther out east, and these become prosperous with all the settlers, traders, and soldiers heading east that need supplies.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Navy is given the order to invade. From the South, the Naval Forces move in while the Army moves southward from the Northeast.
  • United States of America: The Annapolis Naval Academy is complete in Maryland, and the first cadet class from West Point graduates, and become officers in the US Army. The deportation of Native Americans continue, and the first Cherokee-American is elected into office as a Representative for Georgia, and begins to cry against the treatment of Native Americans and slaves. Norfolk Naval Base begins to go under a vast expansion, while coal mining in Kentucky begins, and fortifications along the major ports are finished.
  • Siam and Burma have by now taken much of the small, unclaimed nation to the southeast of Burma, and predict that in six months they will have victory. By the end of 1795, they have successfully taken over all of that nation. Meanwhile, Buddhist missionaries continue travelling to Africa and the undeveloped nations. A few Buddhist missionaries arrive in America. However, other than that the two nations are fairly isolationist
    • I will be gone for a week, so please don't attack Siam and Burma!!
  • Qing Dynasty: China offers Siam and Burma a military alliance. It still awaits Ottoman response for Chinese request of an alliance and trade agreement. The merchant fleet plans to travel through Africa after Ottoman response. A military fleet is sent towards North America, they end up in Russian named 'Alyeska' or Alaska. They make a territorial claim (look in talk page) and establish a military government. They offer Chinese farmers, mainly those that live in colder areas near Tibet, for a possible transportation to live a new life. The Chinese Military reaches one million men, somewhat a sad number, considering many of those are outdated, untrained and considering China's large population.
    • Ottoman Diplomacy: The Answer is Yes. China and the Ottomans will be allies and in mutual defense. Trade will be opened freely between the two nations.
  • New Spain: Population growth continues as settlement to the north increases due to free land and gold. The economy continues to expand. New Spain asks Rio de la Plata for trading agreements. They continue expanding north of the Oregon Country. It thanks Spain for allowing them to colonize anywhere without Spanish supervision. It asks Rio de la Plata for closer relations. The OTL state of Oregon is now controlled by Spanish settlers.
  • Japan: The Empire of Japan now controls all of Hokkaido, allowing the Emperor to continue the expansive campaign of Japan, to begin the Empire of Japan begins to colonize Papua New Guinea and Sakhalin. The expansion of the Japanese Navy also continues as the new ships are continuously built on in Edo and Osaka.
  • Britain: British troops flow into British Canada and arrest the leaders of the pro=independence movement, effectively killing the movement while the right ot bear arms is restricted to only those who are approved by the government. Religious freedom is permitted. The Native Americans from the United States are granted land in British Ohio and they begin to settle down and form farms and small communities. Native Americans are granted non-interference in their customs and ways of life as they see fit, and the population of both British Ohio and British Canada begins to boom slightly with the flow of Native Americans from the US. Canada is divided into the colonies of Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Ontario, Manitoba, Ohio, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. expansion of Britain's African, American, Australian, and Indian colonies continues.
    • American Diplomacy: America would like to get British approval to start a colony in Africa.
    • British Diplomacy: Britain agrees to this, and asks that more Native Americans be sent to its North American colonies so they expand as well as that any unwanted peoples in the USA and its Africa colony are sent to the British North American colonies. Britain asks if talks can begin on an Anglo-American expedition into Spanish Louisiana/New Spain to gain land for both the UK and America. THESE TALKS ARE SECRET!
    • America thanks Britain, and agrees to the deportation of Native Americans to British Canada, and let's take the talks to the talk page.
    • The USA is actually granted the right to form two colonies in Africa, and if they like, one in Patagonia.
  • Spain: Spain, feeling paranoid of the UK and the US, begins heavily arming up in Louisiana and North America, now well-populated. It also permits the right to bear arms among colonists, although English-Americans are blocked the right. Spain continues with the literacy program and gives a slight military-based twist, with people being promised lands and tax reductions if they join the Army. The population continues booming. Finally, the Spanish send a group of rough, well-armed military colonists to form a colony in the middle Oregon country in name of New Spain..
  • Establishing a colony in Oregon is not very smart, the BRITISH HAVE A LARGE COLONY THERE. AND the offer was secret, so you can t all of a sudden start building up a presence there for no reason, as the offer was direct secret diplomacy. and Mexico will be granted independence as well as Argentina.
  • Spell correctly, please. And Britain doesn't own all of Oregon, and New Spain WAS COLONISING. Furthermore, when did I ever say Spain knew of it? England and the US are the only non-friendly neighbors of Spain in NA, and Americans have Manifest Destiny in their mind. It is quite obvious what do you want.
  • The Americans can't expand without British approval until 1845.
  • Still. They might start moving into Spain until 1845, and Spain wants to PREPARE until then.
  • Fair enough, I can see the logic in that.
  • Dutch Republic: The Dutch Republic declare war on the Sultanate of Aech in the northern part of the island of Sumatra. Dutch Colonial Troops begin to set siege to the Aechese capital of Banda Aceh, while Dutch skirmishers comb the countryside.
  • Prussia: Prussia unites with Saxony, adding the Kingdom to the growing Prussian state. More settlers move to the colony. They increase the strength of the forces there after they receive word the the U.S. might try to create a colony there. They offer an alliance to Britain. The government proposes this split of Patagonia to Spain.
    • American Diplomacy: America does not want a colony in Patagonia, were just going to establish colonies in Africa. Prussia's colony has no threat.
    • The Río de la Plata keeps expanding to south. The viceroy thinking that it might be a good idea start trading with the neighbor Captaincy General of Chile.
      Split map

1795.5[]

  • Japan: Japan continues to expand to Papua New Guinea and Sakhalin, now in control of the latter, and continues in its naval expansion program. Even with this expansion and prosperity, the Japanese Emperor meets with several advisors and declares that a Constitution shall be written as to better represent the Japanese people in the national government as well as to represent the new peoples under Japanese control. A constituent assembly election is to be held soon afterwards in order to draft the new Constitution with representatives from across Japan.
  • United States: The United States sends three colonial fleets to OTL Nigeria, Liberia, and one near the British colony in South Africa, establishing three colonies. Norfolk continues to go under expansion, with the ability to produce fifteen small ships at once, or two man-of-wars at once. The army goes expansion, and new officers are trained to lead the new recruits. Fortfications along important cities are built, and are garrisoned.
  • Río de la Plata keeps fortifying the cities. The Party of Independence now is encouraging smuggling of the european countries.

  • New Spain: Population growth continues as settlement to the north increases due to free land and gold. THe economy continues to expand. New Spain asks Rio de la Plata for trading agreements. They continue expanding north of the Oregon Country. It sends explorers to the Pacific who discover the Hawaiian Islands. Most of Louisiana, New Mexico, and California are now settled.
  • Prussia: The colony keeps expanding, largely to the west as colonists wish to reach the Pacific ocean. Prussian border patrol discover smugglers with several crates of explosives along the Polish border. The government is outraged and demands an explanation from Poland.
  • Russia: More settlers are heading East, and the economy is doing better because of this. Lumber industries are booming out on the frontier where a large amount of wood is needed for wagons and homes for the journey East. A large canal project is starting and more canals are being built outside of Moscow. Workshops across the nation are being helped by this, and more jobs are being created as a result. Roads are also being built to transport the goods to and from places, and to pay for these toll booths are being built with these roads. Also, the miltary is being sent East as the population is growing there, so is the need to enforce the law out there. Frontier towns often enforce their own system of justice, and the law varies depending on the vilgant group that is enforcing the punishment.
  • Britain: Britain declares war on Spain and invades Spain's colonial possession in the Americas. The British call on the Pact of Iron for their support. The British prmose independace to Reo De La Plata andMexico in retunr for their support. British troops in Gibraltar invade southern Spain, gaining a good portion of ground and foritfying it, ove 45,000 troops are in southern Spain while 220,000 troops are in North America, as the military buildup has been goin on for years now.British troops begin to advance into OTL Texas and California, as a naval landing captured OTL Santa Barabara.
  • Spain: Thanks to preparedness, better knowledge of the territories and a more loyal populace is able to defeat the Brits in several areas. It offers any indian tribe or slave fighting for Spain land titles and freedom amd offers the viceroyalties semi-independence for their loyalty. They ask most nations to fight agsinst the imperialistic British and offer money in tribute for those who agree. By the end of the yeae, it has pulled them back to the borders. A huge Spanish army, as Spain has also increased its army, lands on Gibraltar and razes it to the ground, blocking all supply routes>. The Spanish Navy razes Santa Bárbara to the north while the Oregonites march south to destroy the British colony
  • Can't raze Gibraltar, first you have to expel me from Spain. And My Oregon is well fortified while your Oregon colony is very small, nice try.
  • They are called boats. My Oregon colony is extremely military.
  • Would you like to negotiate a settlment then, just remember the UK has the Pact of Iron, which will attack in there next posts. And we have allies in your colonies, such as Mexico.
  • I'd like to negotiate peace, yes, if that's what you mean.
  • All right, the talks start on the talk page.

1796 (whole year)[]

The game has been rolled back due to implausiblity. Spanish and PoI talks still have the treaty terms agreed upon, and those new nations are formed. Canada is still British and has no reason to revolt as it is still very loyal to the British crown.

This turns started at an awkward time, so the whole year will happen at once. Please mae two posts like the Ottoman Empire. Thank you. IMPERIAL NY-SPQR 1 Syngraféas Enallaktikí̱ Istoría, Dic mihi lingua Anglorum. 04:12, March 10, 2012 (UTC)

The Treaty of Madrid is signed, ending the PoI-Spanish War.

Britain continues to expand its colonial empire while three new colonies are founded in Australia and two on each island of New Zealnd. Canada continues to expand while the Quebecious people of Canada are given all rights that other British citizens enjoy in Canada and in the home isles. Every race of people in Canada are granted equal rights and citizenship in the British Empire.
  • Russia: More settlers head Eastward, and more canals are being built. The miltary is also moving Eastward to police the lawless areas. More workshops open up in the nation, and people are starting to get jobs working here instead of normal farming. They are being powered by canals that will give them water power to run the Factory's equipment.
  • Canada: Seeing other nations independence in America, Canada ask for its independence but will keep a relationship with Britain. People in Quebec still would like self independence with the rest of Canada as they feel "Non-British". Trade increases with America and Mexico.
    • British Diplomacy: Britain asks if we can talk about this tomorrow after 2 pm Eastern Standard Time USA time. I have to get off soon and I will be at work until 2 tomorrow.
  • The Ottoman Empire:
    • 1796.0: The Empire starts expanding in Africa. A colony is established in Australia.
    • 1796.5: The Empire makes more expansion in Africa and in Australia. A free trade agreement is offered to China and the Siam-Burma Confederation. The navy continues to be expanded and receives more weapons than the rest of the army.
  • United States: The United States would like its northwestern territory (Don't know if I still own it?), while colonies in Africa are expanded. Meanwhile, the US Navy, USMC and US Army are expanded, while a colonial fleet is sent to the OTL West Coast, just to establish a presence in the west. Meanwhile, America offers to purchase Cuba from the Spain (Spain's player quit, so I would like a random.org).
    • Did a random org, and using 1-5 as no, and 6 - 10 as yes, and I got 9, so I purchased Cuba from Spain.
New Proposal final
  • Prussia:
    • 1796.0: The Patagonian colony expands farther. Ships explore OTL Tasmania. Relations with German states improve.
      • Chilean Diplomacy: We have still an agreement about Patagonia, right?
      • Prussian Diplomacy: Of course. But since the war with Spain has ended, may we be allies now?
      • Chile: Yep, we agree in an alliance (just remember that the King of Spain still is our head of state).
    • 1796.5: The Prussian army expands further into the German states, with several small states joining, but relations with southern states are still sour. A small number of trading posts are established on Tasmania.
  • Japan: Japan holds an election for its new Parliament electing members from newly formed political parties across Japan. Upon this happening the Emperor appoints his first Prime Minister who formerly served as a major commercial officer in Edo. But the Emperor insists that the first act passed by the Parliament renames Edo to a new name to attribute to the times, Tokyo, meaning Eastern Capital. And with this new law passed the Emperor orders the expansion of the Japanese colonies in Vietnam, which now covers most of the Vietnam coastline.
  • Chile: Chile declares his independence oficially. The King remain as head of stat, while a President is the head of government. The Theravada temples of the two nations unite to form the United Temples of Theravada Buddhism (UTTB). They begin to spend efforts to get the Theravadas of Laos and Cambodia and other nations to join this organization.
    • 1796.5: The Siamese and Burmese, due to their new UTTB, get many other Theravada temples in the area to begin to unite under them.
  • China (Qing Dynasty): China benefits to trade agreements made. The large merchant fleet reaches the Southern point of Africa, and learn of gold and such, they take back their claim in Alaska, due to advisors to the emperor pointing out Alaska, though, has many natural resources, China has those resources in home, and has more as a matter of fact, and it would rise tensions between European powers and the Qing Dynasty. Hearning of ways that European fight in British India, the army goes through a form of modernization.

1797.0[]

  • Britain: Britain continues to expand all of its colonies, and asks for a conference between all members of the Pact of Iron excluding Mexico. Britain withdraws 120,000 troops from North America but leaves 100,000 there in the Canadian colonies, although the troops are ordered to respect all peoples of the colonies to the utmost ability unless attacked. Peaceful protests are to be allowed.
  • Wait a minute, I established colonies in Tasmania last year. Taking the whole island would be problomatic. Monster Pumpkin 20:11, March 10, 2012 (UTC)
  • America: America establish Guantanamo Bay for a naval port, in Cuba, since it was purchased last year using a random.org). Meanwhile, America continues expansion of the US Army, Navy and the United States Marine Corps. America will attend the Pact of Iron conference. Meanwhile, settlers expand west into the North West territory, ceded to the US. And the deportation of Native Americans continues, which is largely opposed by the Cherokee, who say they should be granted the same rights as the white men.
  • Sorry, it wasn't ceded to the USA, Canada did that illegally and that's a reason the game was rolled back. the conference will occur on the alliance page
  • Just Saying, I did it for U.S support in the Canadian War of Independence.
  • The Ottoman Empire: The Empire conquers the whole Arabian peninsula and expands into Africa some more. The Australian colony is expanded northwards.

  • You just gained independence, no colonizing for a WHILE.
  • Russia: More Settlers head Eastward, and after intense pressure from advisors and setlers, the Tsar makes all land Eastward for free, to a certain limit, you just have to claim it. It is estimated that a million settlers have decided to move Eastward. Back in the West, a good amount of canals have been built. Workshops are being built all along these canals and people in small towns and villages are starting to work in these as opposed to conventional jobs. People living on farms are starting to move into villages, and many villages are now being considered small towns. Roads are being paved to help get goods to where they are needed. To pay for all these new expenses, tariffs are raised and workshops are booming.
  • Japan: Japanese control of Vietnam grows, and now most of the country has fallen under the control of the Japanese Empire. Now the Japanese Navy has grown to a new scale as many of the new ships-of-the-line have been completed. • The Ottoman Empire: No thank you to the British, although you can call on us sometimes. The Empire expands Eastwards in Australia and Southwards in Africa.
  • Qing Dynasty: The massive merchant fleet reaches India, and hopes to soon get back to the mainland. In the mainland, the Qing Emperor offers Siam-Burma and Japan, the "Coalition of Asia" which states, if any European powers attacks any of the the three nations, the other two will declare war on that nation. The Qing Emperor states it is a defensive pact, to counter European Imperialism, the 'coalition' would also share technological secrets and such, and improve trade between the three nations.
  • Siam and Burma accept the pact with the Qing, and they state that they hope the Japanese will as well. Meanwhile, revolts, controlled by Siam and Burma, begin in Laos.
  • Russia: More Settlers head Eastward, and towns like New Moscow are made. Frontier towns are booming as thousands of settlers, merchants, and soldier head Eastward needing supplies. Wealthy Businessmen are building roads out in the East to bring supplies over that can be sold to settlers. The roads being built are helping these workshops get their goods to the East.
  • Prussia: The Patagonian colony expands again. A few small German states are annexed. Increased naval patrols occur around Tasmania because of the disputed status of the island.

They also establish a colony on the island of Borneo to build their power in the South Pacific. Japan also accepts the pact with Siam and Burma and the Qing Dynasty,
  • Canada: More people protest for independence. More people move west and to Ohio. People travel to Oregon and California through British land in the middle of these two areas. Canada again ask for independence.
    • British Diplomacy: Britain states that "Canada" no longer exists and has been divided into the colonies of Quebec, Labrador, Newfoundland, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ohio, Oregon, British Alaska, British Louisiana, and the Nunavut. Please speak as one of these colonies from now on. And if one of these colonies wants independence, then the talks should take place on the Pact of Iron page.
  • STEERIKE! No official continental passageways available currently. No railroads, no roads, no paths, no trails.
  • Let me rephrase it, people travel to Oregon and California through the Slim British Territory Bordering Mexico.
  • Oh. That makes more sense.
  • United States: America expands its colonies in Africa, and its one on the west coast of North America (already put on the map, since it was put on the last two times). Expansion of the US Army, Navy, and Marines continues, and the State of Cuba is determined to be the largest in the United States. In the cities, blacksmiths are as common as farmers, since now a days everything made in Russia is made in a workshop. Tariffs are high, and are helping pay for the construction of canals to power the workshops, and roads to get lumber from the East to the Workshops. The Workshops in turn pay taxes, and this is being used to pay for the miltary. It seems like a nice system, and a wave of prosperity in Russia is going on. • No, they were British descent during the Revolution. And Canadians, whether from the Isles or not, are treated the same as the Islanders. Ireland is apart from London, but still remains loyal, does it not? It does.
  • 'Ever heard of the Irish Revolution?'
  • Ever heard that it hadn't happen yet?
  • People, look. Canada would not declare independence at this time. Even today it is still a member of the commonwealth. Unless Britain would commit mass atrocities against Canada, the best they could do is protest for greater rights. Quebec could declare independence though.
  • But wait! Do you want to be a Dominion or a Commonwealth? We can give that any time of the day!
  • We would like a status as a British Allied Country that has the queen as the head but is a decmoracy like OTL Canada.

  • Fearful of European colonizers, Siam-Burma manages to convince the Swahili chieftans to recognize the Siamese-Burmese domination over them in return for protection and new technology. The Swahili are now a colony of Siam-Burma. They encourage the Chinese to begin moving in against the Uyghurs.
    • American Diplomacy: America offers Siam-Burma an alliance.
    • Siam-Burma accepts the alliance.
    • British Diplomacy: Britain promises Siam-Burma that they will not be harmed and offers them membership in the Pact of Iron.
  • Japan: Japan continues to expand its control in Kamchatka, which it now controls in the majority, and establishes a new naval base on the Southern tip of the peninsula. They also reach out by establishing a colony on the Alsaska Peninsula mostly for naval purposes and for an outreach to America. They offer the British, the United States and Mexico a trade agreement. They also again offer the Qing Dynasty again to purchase Taiwain from them for an agreeable price.
    • American Diplomacy: America accepts the trade agreement.
    • British Diplomacy: Britain accepts the trade agreement and offers Japan memberhsip in the Pact of Iron.
    • Japan: Japan agrees to the membership in the Pact of Iron.
    • British Diplomacy: Its the Pact of Iron, please click on the above link and put your antion under full members.
    • My mistake, LOL.
    • Mexico agrees. It
  • Russia: More Settlers head Eastward, and it is decided by the Tsar to stop sending people to Alaska. The Alaskan colony is closed to save money. Instead, the miltary will be worked on. The economy continues to grow, and more workshops open up in the more populated areas of the East.

1802.0[]

  • The Ottoman Empire: The Empire blatantly continues expansion in Africa and watches the world. Everything north of Anatolia is reformed into the Balkan Union, a puppet state.
    • 'Prussian Diplomacy 'Prussia would like to negotiate a sale of part of the Ottoman Empire's possesions in East Africa, more specifically the area to the north of Ethiopia, as that region housed Prussian trading posts until the Ottomans came.
    • Ottoman Diplomacy: Sorry, you were never on the map. Please take back what is rightfully yours.
    • Actually, I did post that I put trading posts in that area. Look back a few years.
    • I checked all the old map. Please take back what is rightfully yours.
    • I never said it was on a map. Look back through the previous turns and you will see that I started a colony there some time ago. When you edited the map you must have glanced over it.
    • You said that Prussia decided to leave it alone. And like I said, I just put things on the map and I had no idea Prussia was there. So please just take back what is rightfully yours.
    • I read that post, but when I went to the map, there was nothing there so I just put the Empire there. Anyway, please just take back what is rightfully yours.
    • When I protested you not putting it on the map earlier you said it didn't exist. Because of the whole war on Mexico thing starting it became obscure, but at the very least it should be accepted that there was in fact a colony there. And how can I take back what is rightfully mine if you won't let me do that?
    • No, I said I never saw it on any of the old maps. And I said you can just fix the map and show your colony.
    • I aplogize for the misunderstanding. I will only take a small amount for the colony.
    • No problem. And the country south of your colony is not Ethiopia. which is why I was so confused. Ethiopia is the small country we surrounded.
  • France: France quietly builds up its colonies in Africa, sending Napoleon there.
  • United States: The United States continues to expand its colonies, and now the West Coast one is touching the thin british territory separating the east and west US. Colonies in Africa are expanded, and now surround the small green one. The South Africa one is expanded as well. The military continues to go under construction, and would like to purchase the Panama Isthmus and Puerto Rico for future reasons. Meanwhile, the USS Hamilton is scrapped, and the USS Constitution becomes a museum in Boston.
    • The Siamese and Burmese ask how many Buddhists now live in the US, due to Theravada conversion efforts.
    • America: We don't know, we'll take a census next turn.
    • You take a census every ten years. There should have been a Census in 1800. Also, I'm assuming Thomas Jefferson was elected president in 1800?
    • Yeah, I guess I'll put that in the next post.
  • Canada: Constructs a military and ask for membership in Pact of Iron. The country expands.
  • Japan: Japan continues to expand further into Alaska, taking the rest of the Alsaska Peninsula and establishing multiple trade and fur colonies along the Western coast of Alaska. Parliamentary elections are held in Japan and two distinct political parties have taken hold, the liberal Jiyuto Party and the conservative Hoshuto. As the Jiyuto take power in this election, they pass a bill of rights through the Parliament, which establishes the rights of speech, religious toleration, press, and among other things, voting rights for all male citizens.
  • Siam-Burma solidifies control over the Swahili. Buddhist missionaries continue travelling there, as well as to other parts of Africa and to the United States.
  • Russia: More Settlers head East, and more lumber industries are established out there. More workshops are built, and the miltary is built up. More infrastructure is being built in the East to help out the Workshops developing there

  • Mexico begins to invade Colombia and asks the Pact of Steel to not intervene in exchange for no harm to Britain's South American territories. They continue to get closer to Chinese.

1802.5[]

  • The Ottoman Empire: Almost very predictably, the Empire simply continues its ventures in Africa while sending a peace and trade agreement to Japan and the Siam-Burmese Confederation.
  • Mexico: It officially conquers half of Colombia, still not harming Britain's South American territories. They ask France to send them military commanders to help modernize the military.
    • French Diplomacy: No.
    • Mexican Diplomacy: Why not?
    • French Diplomacy: We are in a period of unrest and chaos, so please stay on hold. We are unable to help anyone right now.
  • United States: The United States continues to expand its colonies, and now only a thin strip of British land divides the two nations. The USS Hamilton and the USS Constitution continues to project military power, and modernization of the military continues. The US denounces Mexico's acts, but will not take any action against Mexico.
  • Britain: Britain continues to expand its colonies and denounces Mexico's act, and modernization of its military.
  • Qing Dynasty: An unknown man who calls himself Zhuge Liang (the name of an old, brilliant Chinese strategist in the era of the three kingdoms) declares a holy campaign against the Qing Dynasty, with an army of 10,000 men, he camped in a large mountain, and taunted the Qing Forces to attack him, and with a force of 120,000 they did. The battle was a disaster for the Qing Dynasty, losing 3/4 of their forces due to mixing up old Chinese tactics, with those of European, while the forces of the man called Zhuge Liang, barely suffered a thousand casualties, the army took Beijing by surprise, capturing the city and killing the current Emperor, chaos struck across large coastal cities in the lower classes which have been upset by unfair manufacture, the daughter of the Emperor - a 19 year old woman - becomes Empress, the army of Zhuge Liang gains some supporters, the Qing Army regains control of coastal cities but Beijing and surrounding areas, as the army of 'Zhuge Liang' holds it valiantly. The army with a superior number of 100,000 attacks Beijing, they defeat Zhuge Liang's smaller army of 13,000 men, but with vast casualties, in a tactical move, Zhuge Liang evades the Qing Army with 200 men, and escapes to rural areas in the east. There is economic, political and social chaos, as many in the middle and lower class speak for the formation of a parliament and minister positions, many major ports are ruined, and commerece suddenly shrinks, many people are calling of the removal of the Empress in favor of her brother, and the military is emberassed, even with the advances of technology, and study of European tactics, the military failed to defeat a minor force. In result, the Qing Dynasty offers to sell Japan south of Korea (modern day South Korea) for four million silver-copper. (about two million US dollars.) Qing Empress vows to hang 'Zhuge Liang' personally, and rebuild the Qing Empire.
    • Japan: Japan accepts the Qing Empire's offer.
  • France: France suffers a political shock, Napoleon Bonaparte stages a coup d'etat, and announces himself as First Consul, and his associates (which some are military officers, others in the Senate already) also make themsleves high-political ranking. There is a mix emotion of this in France, some lower-middle classes happy with Napoleon, as he has supported funds for the lower taxes, many in the upper classes are also happy with his friendly attitude, and prestige, hoping he could be good for France. Many others though, are very disturbed by this. Napoleon announces his plan for his code, the 'Napoleonic Code' which would improve rights for many, and such, he began hiring new ministers for his own time. He offers the Dutch, increased trade agreements, and a joint military excersise in Belgium. He also offers Prussia and Russia, increased commerce to bolster their relationships. Noticing British paranoia, he also offers Britain trade agreements. The military expansion in Africa is in a small stand still, due to the sudden overthrow of the previous governments, and some areas refusing to follow the new government's orders, but overtime, they accepted it, but the expansion was small in Africa, and concentrated on development of coastal areas.
  • Japan: Japan continues to expand into Alaska, with most of Western Alaska in Japanese hands and major fishing villages and combined fur trade colonies begin to populate the area. The Japanese Parliament expands to allow for 30 new representatives from Korea to allow for representation of the new province. But Japan does offer the Qing Dynasty the use of an expeditionary force to put down Zhuge Liang's rebellion.
  • Hold it right here. If people look at the map very carefully, they will notice that China does not own Korea, they only influence it. China does not have the authority to sell any part of Korea. Korea is its own independant nations and to claim it would require invasion.
  • Chile: Ignacio de la Carrera is elected as second president in the chilean history. He continues with the works of his predecesor, while the Easter Island is put under control of Chile. He see with worry the mexican advance in South America and order continues expanding the armed forces, specially the navy.

The Senate is shortly disbanded.
  • United States: Its African colonies are expanded, and the west coast colony now reaches the northern/southern border of England's colony from Oregon. The first amphibious vehicle (first one was invented in 1805 in OTL) is launched, and crosses the Mississippi River. Meanwhile, the US request to purchase the remainder of Spain's American colonies for the price (moderators, please respond this time). The USS Constitution and USS Hamilton become the flagships of the Gulf and East Coast Fleet.
    • Spain: Won't Britain get mad?
    • American Diplomacy: No, the treaty was uplifted after the defeat of Mexico.
    • Spanish Diplomacy: OK. You can have Puerto Rico.

Japan also expands into the Maldives and establishes a wide-scale trading colony on the islands.

They begin to build the Mexican Railroad that stretches from the top to bottom parts of the country. They ask a union with Spain.
    • A railroad? Honestly? From North to South? You just got out of a war. And you're relatively a poor nation. And I hope that's a horse railway, because they didn't invent steam travel power yet. But no horse railway can go across Mexico.
  • United States: The United States Government begins to fund a program for an amphibious vehicle (first one in OTL was invented in 1805 by the US), its colonies are expanded, and some ideas of steme power comes around, but is rejected, due to the fact that some say nothing can just run on water. THe USS Hamilton is decomissioned, and the USS Thomas Jefferson is laid down, the USS Constitution continues to sail the waters of the US. The rebellion of "Zhuge Liang" continues, his forces headed to eastern areas in China, which are more rural, and harder for the large Qing Army to travel through, the main Qing Army is divided in two main branches for a while- the majority stays in coastal cities restoring public order, and overwatching rebuilding of ports after many of them were destroyed after the first few weeks of the 'Liang Rebellion', the other part of the army hunts down Zhuge Liang's 'army' and supporters. The Qing Army once again confronts Zhuge Liang in a mountainous battlefield, with a force of 70,000 men, while Zhuge Liang's forces had around 4000. The battle would be for an entire night, in which the Qing Army defeated Zhuge Liang's forces, but after suffering heavy losses, and allowed 500 men and Zhuge Liang himself to escape. A year ago, the Qing Army numbered 1.4 million men, it now is around 900,000 men. The Qing Treasury is very low. They offer allied Japan, and Siam-Burma, each 5,000 expeditionary troops from each nation.
    • Ottoman Diplomacy: Since we are not involved in anything right now, we can help defeat Zhuge Liang.
    • Qing Diplomacy: The Qing Dynasty welcomes Ottoman assistance, and offers a formal military alliance between the two nations.

    • Prussian Diplomacy: Prussia accepts increased trade, hoping to revitalize its economy.
    • Ottoman Empire: We accept. And by the way, U.S. is our ally, just so you know.
