Warning: the last minutes of this video may contain disturbing images! I stand corrected; there is little to no -explicit- racism in this video. Still, there is this nasty layer of racism on the background.
I agree we should be careful in condemning this. The values we adhere to now are different than the ones that were adhered when this film was created. I do want to urge you to be critical and to keep your eyes opened.
This propaganda film was created in 1,945, during the second world war, by the U.S. Treasury department. It's aim was to boost the sale of war bonds. War bonds are debt securities, mostly issued by governments (in this case the American government), for the purpose of financing military operations.
