Alabama is a state in the southeastern region of the United States. It is bordered by Cherokee to the north, Georgia to the east, West Florida to the south, and to the west Louisiana and Arkansas.
History[]
Alabama was sparsely settled prior to 1812, when the Hamilton oversaw the passage of the Alabama Land Grant Act which organized the Alabama territory, recognizing existing claims made by native tribes, and freed slaves from Georgia, while also creating new land grants for other freed slaves in the United States.
Alabama was one of the first states to enter into a revolutionary state against Lee and the Confederates.
