Edwina Mountbatten
Edwina Mountbatten (28th November, 1901 - 21st July, 1985) was Lord Louis Mountbatten's wife. Notably, she was able to persuade her husband not to take the boat out while on holiday in County Sligo, Ireland, which later turned out to have had a bomb placed on it by the IRA. She is rumoured to have had a series of affairs but remained with her husband to the end.
